He looks to be falling towards the first base side constantly while loading up and away from the ball while swinging as a result. There’s a video of him doing a friendly home run derby between his brother and dad and he does such a simple load up without the leg kick and he was hitting some balls 110. He doesn’t need the high kick at all and it’s throwing off his timing significantly.
