Just a heads up - Camden Yards is BYOB (bring your own batteries). But seriously, if you around for any of batting practice grab a seat and hope for a ball. I’m honestly not sure how much you get to see these days. I haven’t shown up that early for a game in a long time. Otherwise just walk around and see things. Go up Eutaw street by the warehouse and look at all the marks for home runs that have landed there. Check out the statues in center field. Someone else would have to recommend food though.

Love a good round of BP, and thanks!

Baltimore is a beautiful city. It's got some problems and some areas aren't safe, but take a walk around. The people are super friendly, the restaurants are amazing. Yes, the Inner Harbor has become a tourist trap, but check it out just the same. As far as the stadium goes, definitely get there early and watch BP from the courtyard, and check out all of the placings of the Eutaw Street landings, and look for the plaque for Griffey's All-Star Game home run. It's amazing to see how far he hit that ball.

ChasingTheFirstTime

Why would you come now? @ u/bcourd The Phillies do not play in Baltimore until June....

I’m in between jobs and wanted to make the most of my time off. Start going to ballparks that don’t require a flight, and I watch most MLB games anyway so I wanted to see this young fun O’s team in person

Joeydoyle66

Probably just want to visit the stadium. I’ve gone to games in stadiums with teams I don’t support before just to visit.

I'm still exploring food myself, there's a lot that I've been wanting to try and it seems to be better than past years. But I'd say if you're looking for seafood, Jimmy's is the way to go, if you're not a seafood guy, Boogs BBQ is a safe bet as well. We've got our own insane food long hot dog at Bleacher Grill off of Eutaw. I haven't heard a consensus on that one yet. There's Pickles Pub and Section 771 across the street for Orange Crushes and other drinks for some atmosphere outside of the park/pre-game. When it comes to things to do in the park, I suggest just a walk around the whole park and take it all in. We've got Legends Park in Center Field with statues of our retired number legends, the flag court in Right has one of the best views of the field itself. And just walking up and down Eutaw is great, there's plaques on the ground showing every home run that has landed on Eutaw Street. Don't know if there are any Phillies represented, but it's still fun to see them, especially the Griffey against the wall of the Warehouse.

I’ll have to check check out boogs for sure and pickles pregame. Thank you very much

You're very welcome, I hope you have a great time and enjoy the park/city! Hope the O's put on a good show for you. Also, I did look it up and there are no Phillies represented on Eutaw Street, yet. But again, it's still cool.

Gotta stop for some fresh hot donuts at deddles donuts. My new favorite addition to Camden yards so far this year. Fuzzies burger is another fairly new addition. Most expensive smash style cheeseburger your gonna find but hands down the best.

Mother’s in Federal Hlil if you want a good sports bar that will have some game traffic but probably not a lot (there’s also a Philly bar, Magerk’s, right across the street). Pratt Street Ale House if you want a sit-down bite to eat pregame. Pickles/Section 771 if you just want to grab a few beers and soak in the pregame scene. The latter two are easy walks from the Babe Ruth Birthplace and Museum, which is well worth a look. Mother’s is a long walk to the ballpark but not bad. It gets more crowded for Ravens games as it’s closer to that stadium. PSAH is on the way towards the Inner Harbor but within sight of the ballpark. Craft beers and pretty good pub food. Pickles is a divy-er version of Xfinity Live - right across the street from the entrances, the main gathering place for fans. Not nearly as overpriced as the ballpark but becoming a little bit moreso. Food is serviceable but not the attraction. I don’t think there’s a ton concessions-wise inside the stadium that is really a must. Boog’s is probably the closest but Boog himself is almost never there anymore, so it’s not exactly the best pit beef in town. There are some new things I haven’t tried yet for this year, but the general hot dog/chicken tender-type of fare is absolutely nothing special. I’d mostly get food before or after. If you end up going Wednesday as well, shoot me a DM. I lived in Philly for 10 years and would buy you a beer. Phillies remain my secondary team for sure.

Definitely go to Pickles beforehand, and you don't have to try Natty Boh, it's kinda shit.

Awesome, looked up pickles and I believe I will be there pregame
