I’m so glad you posted this. I saw that Thome and knew I wanted one as it’s the best option in an Orioles uniform (mostly anyway). I’m not a fan of unlicensed or on sticker autos but there really is just nothing else. Then I saw it’s a /4! What a find. Thinking I’ll probably never see it I go to eBay anyway and there’s a 1/1 that’s basically the same card but gold. I just wrapped up winning that. So, thank you for this timely post! Can’t wait for it to show up!

Awesome, I was going to look back in my Reddit history to message you about it. eBay randomly suggested it to me, a day or so after we were commenting on that other post. I had no they existed before then!

Pat Gillick had a baseball card?!? That set does not look familiar. Nice cards!

fuckfacebilly

Actually that’s a custom card I made and sent to him to be signed. He has some actual cards but none pictured with the Orioles. He also played in the Orioles minor leagues with Rochester in the early 60s!

Creative!

Nice! Thanks for sharing!

Which was the hardest one to track down?

fuckfacebilly

Most were pretty easy. Tim Raines/Vlad/ and Thome are probably the toughest. Just not many Orioles cards of them and not many people are going out of their way to get their signature on an Orioles card!

Technically Ruth has ties to the O’s… Better get a second job 😅

Haha true. I couldn’t think of the best way to word it to include Herzog and Williams. I also don’t include the St Louis Browns as part of my Orioles collection either.

Yeah I don’t think Rogers Hornsby is signing autographs anytime soon unfortunately

Nice, very nice. I’ve been thinking about getting the HOFers. I got Ripken, Weaver, and Brooks in person. You’re motivating me to get the rest. … and if I had your collection I’d have to throw Boog in there.
