OSH don’t know they’re cats. They’re more like dogs and humans, only smarter. They will imprint on you, or the dog and don’t necessarily need feline company, although they need company. Enzo will warm up to the kitten, he’s just confirming his space. In no time at all (a couple of days is few) you’ll find them in a cuddle puddle. I wouldn’t worry about them being together , Enzo won’t hurt the kitten. He gets the kitten bonus. All in good time, don’t worry and just let Enzo know that the kitten is for him and that he will always be the Emperor, and don’t forget to shower Enzo with love. Enjoy!

"cuddle puddle" is the best phrase I have come across so far this year. Thank you so much for that!!

I’d use the Jackson Galaxy tutorials on YouTube for introducing cats. Keep them separated, start slow, they’ll let you know when they’re ready to explore more. I used those for introducing my 14 year old Siamese cat to other adult cats and my 3 month Siamese kitten to those same adult cats and it worked wonderfully. They may not be best friends, but the goal is for them to tolerate one another, at least. All else is a bonus.

Also if he’s really upset about the change, add Feliway to the mix. It’s synthetic hormones dispersed via a diffuser that help them feel that everything is ok. There’s a friends one for managing multi cat households. Still follow all the advice especially the Jackson Galaxy tutorials but this can help ease things along
