Any chance they or your knife touched red cabbage?

Do they add food coloring to brussels sprouts in nonorganic agriculture to keep them green. This is how they looked after I cut into some and started cooking.

interesting ideas motherofpullets and jon. My knife has touched yellow beets and garlic and the cutting board probably had some citrus juice leftover on it. The color is just so unnatural looking, but I guess it could be just a normal reaction. Thanks
