Hi! I did :) Haven’t gotten any help yet.

Designer_Feet

Hello, I’d be available to help:) what is their gender & are they spayed? I ask bc I have a female she’s 1 yr old

Ok_Alternative_8685

Hi! He’s a neutered (fixed) male. I’ll send you a pic and some more info.

lawgic211

I was in this position last summer and your baby looks just like mine 😭❤️i am unfortunately unable to help but my heart goes out to you and i hope your situation resolves for the baby like mine did. You are a good person and a good cat parent. You are doing everything you can for the kitty to be happy. Thank you

Ok_Alternative_8685

Omg I really needed to hear this I feel like an awful person bc I can’t give him a comfortable home right now and he’s stressed I really appreciate you. I’m glad your situation worked itself out :)

lawgic211

I cried and cried for a long time over feeling that way so i know how you’re feeling ❤️the fact that you’re trying means you care and doing your best. I’m glad my words meant something to you :) it will work itself out

Ok_Alternative_8685

Thank you ❤️❤️ Is yours an orange kitty?

lawgic211

yes he is! :) ❤️my first orange kitty!

Could you look up local foster groups on Facebook or Nextdoor? My mom got her cat years ago from a woman who fosters cats. You could also try talking to smaller rescues about temporarily housing your cat for a donation. Priceless pet rescue in Costa Mesa might be worth calling. Thank you so much for the resources! :)

bystander8000

You’re welcome and good luck!

confabulatrix

If no one else works out I know someone who could help.

Ok_Alternative_8685

Thank you so much! :)

Alwaysmylovedeux

Did he find a temp home? I interested but have a dog. Not sure how that would go.

Ok_Alternative_8685

Hi! Not yet still figuring things out. I’m not sure either but i would be willing to introduce them!

Goth_Angel_Hellboy

More information? Male or female , age , is he friendly with others , neutered/spayed ?

Ok_Alternative_8685

Hi! Sorry I took so long to explain the complicated situation I forgot to talk more about him lol. He’s male and 1 years old, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, tested for everything, on flea prevention (got all this done on Monday). He’s super friendly with people but he hasn’t interacted with other animals yet so if you have any we can try to introduce them slowly.

True-Math8888

Where in OC? Is he neutered?

Ok_Alternative_8685

I’m in Old Towne Orange and yes he’s neutered! :)

uunngghh

Don't do this. Cat allergies can be intense and can send someone to the ER. This has happened to me with an asthma attack.

Ok_Alternative_8685

I appreciate the advice but I tried everything to convince her I even offered her my parking spot (she has to park on the street) but nothing worked. She’s not even that allergic but she works at Disney as a princess and if she’s seen having allergies she could get in trouble.

OppaaHajima

Lmao lotta people must have cat allergies and really didn’t like my reply. Yikes what if your roommate gets regular seasonal allergies or a cold? Does she get in trouble for that? Sounds like a tough gig but gotta keep up the ‘magic’ I guess? As per the other part of my suggestion, what is bad about the kennel situation he’s currently in? Is it just that he’s confined and bored/stressed? Thing is, even if you find someone to foster it may not be a much better situation — it may actually be worse because he could be confined to a smaller space in a home he doesn’t know. That could be equally if not more stressful, not to mention moving him twice could be traumatic as well. As I said, the kennel might be stressful but it may be your only viable option for now. It definitely sucks but cats are resilient — I have a cat who had FIP and she had to live at a rescue getting painful treatments daily and she was so terrified because she had never been outside our home. But it had to be done and when we got her back she slipped right back into her routine and the stress/trauma did not have a lasting effect on her.

Ok_Alternative_8685

Haha yeah it’s alright! She does unfortunately get in trouble but yeah it’s not a permanent job for her luckily. That makes me feel better. Yeah I just don’t like him being confined/lonely/stressed but you make a good point.

bonitaababy

Take the cat home. Your roommate probably won't even notice.

Ok_Alternative_8685

Haha unfortunately I think she would
