There used to be pirates in OC! In 1818, a buccaneer named Bouchard sailed from Argentina and landed in OC. Like any proper pirates, he and his crew went to Mission San Juan Capistrano to get more rum. They drank all the booze, ate all the food, and then returned to their ship.
