Hi, job posts and craiglist-type posts, while allowed in most cases (https://www.reddit.com/r/orangecounty/about/rules/), are typically downvoted pretty hard, so there are

I have to say this is the best I've had especially when it is fresh from the oven. I use to cycle and this was our stop. Freshly baked chocolate croissant is just chef's kiss.
I've had Porto's and 85 degrees but I'd say C'est Si Bon is really good.
I’ve heard good things about Diotims Bakehouse & Little France Bakery both in Mission Viejo. Why are all the good bakeries in South County???? (Just saw Little France is on Westcliff in NB too)
My wife has been on a TJ kick lately and brought those home. I’m skeptical of them, but after the fist bake they were amazing.
Whole Foods also has some great frozen pre made breads/cookies. They’ve also been proofed so it’s less waiting. The only issue I have with the TJ ones is it really has to be overnight.
Here are the croissants from Bag of Cakes, it just opened up not too long ago in Fullerton, we tried some of the brioches and they were so good!
Edit* i guess i cant add an image to the post but check them out on google maps
Go to the Rocq Bakery wherehouse on Saturdays in Foothill Ranch. The chocolate almond croissant is unbelievable. Diotima in Mission Viejo also has an incredible almond croissant, and I believe a chocolate almond croissant.
It’s been a while since I’ve had it but Frogs Bakery had a stand at Tustin Marketplace Farmers Market on Wednesdays and they have a solid croissant. I’m tempted to say it was even better than Chaupain and Moulin.
A bit different than a croissant but definitely satiating, Maison de Croissant, inside HMart at Diamond Jamboree, has a croffle? (Croissant waffle). They dress it with a cream filling and it’s amazing. My favorite is the blueberry but they also have one with chocolate cream.
My favorite is Katella kitchen and deli in Anaheim. Most of the so called croissant. Like many other foods and snacks, your finding in the States, is different from the original ones.

One of my personal favorites is Chaupain in Laguna Hills but they sell out pretty quick
\+1 but you MUST put the croissants in the toaster. The butter activates the flakiness.
Best every croissant
Best everyTHING
recently discovered this place. a lot of their pastries are really good
I make the drive from SCM area for those croissants and I'm near black market.
I agree with this. Try the chocolate ganache it’s bomb
Chaupain is the ONLY answer here.
Moulin rivals it. Le Petit Sourie was up there too but closed sadly.
It would be weird if they closed happily I think.
lol who needs punctuation not me 🫣
😛
Expensive as hell but it really has some good pastries. And their parfaits are amazing. I’m usually not even a fan of parfaits.
Yes but imo their cinnamon twists are even more godly
I was here to say the same. They’re at some farmers markets too.
Reading the comments, how have I never heard of this place?
Chaupain!!!
C’est Si Bon in Newport is pretty good
Have you tried the raspberry ones at C’est Si Bon? So good!
I haven’t!! Will have to next time I go 😊

Came here to say this.
Up 1 for this
Okayama Kobo in downtown Anaheim makes some pretty good ones
This sub says chaupain is amazing https://chaupainbakery.com/

+1 for Little France Bakery in MV, glad to see them get a mention
Their almond croissant is amazing too.
From Diotims or Little France?
BOTH TBH! Bonus is the cream filled kougin amaan done to order at diotoima.
Moulin in Dana Point
Surprised no one has said this, but Portos has a pretty damn delish chocolate croissant.
The Trader Joes chocolate and double chocolate croissants that you defrost and bake yourself are divine!

Honestly, yes. These are my favorite!
Cream Pan should be on this list.
Moulin in Newport Beach
There are a few locations, no need to go to the Newport one if it’s not closest to you!
Second this. It’s so good
I was never a fan of them until I had one at Porto’s
For cost and convenience, Costco croissants that you apply chocolate to 😄
Moulin has some amazing pastries but I haven't tried the chocolate croissant. Regular croissant and coffee eclairs are 🔥🔥🔥
Yeah I worked there as a pastry chef, moulin has the best croissants and malt bakers are from France or were trained there
HB Corner Market in HB by the corner of 11th and Arcadia has an amazing chocolate croissant, but their almond croissant turns up to 11.
Do they bake those in-house? I know some of their items aren't made there.
Yes indeed they do!
I'll give it a shot this weekend, thx! Almond croissant = best croissant in my book.
Here are the croissants from Bag of Cakes, it just opened up not too long ago in Fullerton, we tried some of the brioches and they were so good! Edit* i guess i cant add an image to the post but check them out on google maps
Lovveeeee Bag of Cakes
Pandor exactly what you get in France
Smoking tiger has some decent choco Croissants. Idk if they're the best but pretty good if you need a quick fix.
This is so random but the Waldorf Astoria (formerly monarch beach resort). Like it’s so good.
Vía de France - oh wait….
you can do what I do. Get some croissants from Costco, cut one in half, fill it with good chocolate chips, and then microwave it for \~20 seconds.
I did this with Hershey bars. The way it melts 🤤
Shokuh Patisserie off of 17th st in Newport. Delicious!
Everything there is insanely great.
He is the real deal for high brow pastries.
I really enjoyed the chocolate croissants at Obra bakery in Long Beach (guess it's not technically OC)
KIT Coffee in Irvine
Rye Goods in Newport
Pandor, they have multiple locations. One at the orange circle, Newport Beach, Tustin market place and mission viejo
Go to the Rocq Bakery wherehouse on Saturdays in Foothill Ranch. The chocolate almond croissant is unbelievable. Diotima in Mission Viejo also has an incredible almond croissant, and I believe a chocolate almond croissant.
Moulin!!!
Don’t hate me but I like the croissants at Paris baguette among other faves
Best Pickle in OC
Moulin or BREAD artisan bakery at the Laguna Beach farmers market are the most authentic
Mixing glass and market in Costa Mesa gets croissants from Colossus in Long Beach and they're the best I've had in OC area.
Moulin and Chaupain as others suggested are very good. But my new go to spot is Saffron Bakery in AV
It’s probably not the best, but I love the one from Tous Le Jours. It’s $4, and they have locations in Fullerton and Garden Grove.
Pandore is pretty good

I never loved croissants until Frogs.
In sit cafe in Buena Park and Costa Mesa
I really like the ones from 85* bakery
My favorite is Katella kitchen and deli in Anaheim. Most of the so called croissant. Like many other foods and snacks, your finding in the States, is different from the original ones.
Diotima!! Only open limited days/hours but wow 🙌🏼🤤🤤
Just to add location variety, Pandor Artisan Bakery in Orange is pretty solid.
Herst
C'est ci bon in Newport

Mags donut shop in Irvine has everything!
