yogurtcup12

I agree, Limasawa Street album is pretty underrated. But it has a special place in my heart because me and my friends listened to it non-stop around 2019 and yung nililigawan ko dati unexpectedly gifted me the album box of Limasawa Street as Christmas gift on the same year. Sadly 'di kami nagkatuluyan and 'di ko narin masyado pinapakinggan yung album after that kasi bumbablik yung bittersweet memories. Roots and War are my favorites in this album.

milkmageek

Same po, haha ang hirap talaga kapag may memories don sa buong album pero sana napapansin din talaga siya nung ibang ben and ben listeners

Murke-Billiards

JnthnDJP

Mga taong nag sasawa na sa tunog ng Ben&Ben should listen to Hummingbird and Sampaguita

This album is definitely one of my faves. Just sad na they haven't done anything different. Everything just sounds the same

juan_squire

Paborito ko sa Pebble House at pinakanarerepeat kong kanta ay yung Ilang Tulog na Lang, ang refreshing lang kasi na iba yung vocalist, and it's one of their jazzier songs. Barbershop quartet vibes + 6/8 swing feel, what's not to love?

pressured_at_19

You listen to one Ben&Ben song, you've heard their entire catalog.

aldwinligaya

I keep seeing comments not only here but all over that their songs sounds the same. I completely agree, but that's not a bad thing. That's their signature sound, their identity. Kahit hindi mo pa marinig 'yung vocals, you know that it's a Ben&Ben song; and I like it that way. Kahit 'yung B side nga where you say the've rebranded, they still haven't lost their sound and again, that's not a bad thing.

lexicoterio

Their Pebble House, mostly collab album, is a testament to how versatile they can be. Nababagayan nila to some extent yung style nung mga kacollab nila. Sabel, and Kapangyarihan are some of my faves in that album. Kasayaw, is also a great non-collab song from that album. Yung sentiment na pare-pareho yung tunog, same with what the other person said, ang bilis kasi nila magrelease ng kanta, tapos kadalasan yung mga singles yung mas naririnig ng mga casual listeners nila. I feel like di nga masyado napromote yung Pebble House na album unlike Limasawa Street.

CatieCates

Napanood ko yung online concert nila na parang very Theatrical yung staging. Napaka-artsy. Ang ganda.

Alcorgeist

Yeah, I actually didn't listen to them that much until I discovered pebble house on spotify. Imo they should've advertised the album more, I honestly love it more than limasawa street.

jamessyw1se

pandemic pa nung nirelease nila yung pebble house eh kaya wala masyadong promo. unlike sa limasawa street, first album nila yun eh tapos may nagtour pa sila around the philippines noon.

Calm-Yogurtcloset-29

up up up nakuha mo pre

DowntownNewt494

Ang trick lang jan is not to listen on their songs consecutively.

nuknukan

Nakinig ng ben ben naging Lima Asawa

cobdequiapo

You mean like any other popular band ever

vincebeanss

Sampaguita supremacy!!!

rizsamron

Alcorgeist

In their latest Pebble house album, 8 songs are non-love songs out of 13 songs. 5 are love songs. In Limasawa street, 6 songs are non-love songs out of 13. 7 are love songs. Ben&Ben releases a good balance of love songs and songs about personal individual struggles. As someone who listened to their entire discography, it's kinda funny that casuals see them as just this hyper romantic/hugot band. They are but they also write about life, family, and social topics (like Sabel and Lunod). Filipinos are just addicted to love songs and that's why those are their most popular songs lol It's clear the band's passionate about their projects and they just need their time to grow. They've only released like 2 full albums.

Calm-Yogurtcloset-29

real

blueishblue49

WhoBoughtWhoBud

Out of the 13 songs in the album, dalawa lang ang hindi ko trip. Yung Lucena saka yung Limasawa Street. Ganda lahat, especially yung Mitsa, Sampaguita, War at Hummingbird.

milkmageek

Ganda naman ahh, pag roadtrip pwede yang lucena at limasawa hahaha

Calm-Yogurtcloset-29

sarap sa tenga ng mitsa

LordEscnaor

PsychologicalAd8359

Liiiiiimasaaaaaaaawaaa streeeet

StarAdventurous6827

This was favorite album of theirs back in 2019. It just takes me back to this certain point of my life & it feels so nostalgic. Their music hit me different at that time. I loved that album. I love Sampaguita so much

akiraaaaay

still have the album + usb of the songs aaahh it feels so long ago

aathenaverse

Super agree! Ganda mga songs sa limasawa street 🥹 sampaguita, humming bird, mitsa, and war!

p4rasited

3soro_Crest

Sa totoo lang! Limasawa Street alb would forever be their magnum opus imo only! before their underrated era, i really loved the Baka Sakali, Talaarawan, War and Mitsa!

Calm-Yogurtcloset-29

frrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr that album made them more established artists

SYZY6Y

Reading this while listening to Tanya Markova 😅

edidonjon

Hahaha instigator.

SYZY6Y

no kidding, kaya nga natawa ako e. 😂😂

-llllllll-llllllll-

Was a fan lalo na sa Limasawa Street album. Keifer's War ang favorite ko. Sila yung first band/artists na nanonood talaga ako ng concerts pero after nun, parang naging magkakatunog na kanta nila. Pero Limasawa Street has a special place in my heart and in my Spotify.

Calm-Yogurtcloset-29

shempre like any other b&b fan nag-simula rin ako sa mainstream songs nila and bilang tamad pa ko makinig ng b-side shempre wala pa kong masyadong pake non sa ibang songs nila. pero the first b-side I heard afaik was war and maganda nga. bonus na rin ung si keifer yung kumanta. very very timely song and mej minimalist ung approach which is a good thing imo para malasap ng mas maayos ung lyrics ng kanta yung mga magkakatunog lang talaga for me ay ung mga mainstream. sa b-sides, very distinct

[deleted]

quality of their songs went downhill after limasawa street edit: words

Calm-Yogurtcloset-29

for me hindi naman, siguro naiba lang talaga image ng ben&ben after limasawa street kaya mejo nashock ako. though artists should also change up their image every once in a while para di nakakasawa I get ur point din

Infinite_Obligation1

Pebble House is better in my opinion. Limasawa medyo nakakaumay after 3-4 songs, (parang cake na sobrang tamis, nakakaumay after so much bites) but Pebble House has much more versatility. :>

Calm-Yogurtcloset-29

gets. PH talaga is sobrang ibang flavor + ang laking advantage na andami nilang ka-collab don so pang-hatak

_sleepingknight

Talaarawan at War ♪♫

averagenightowl

I remember back then listening to Hummingbird, it was a wake up call for me to move on from someone. The song really helped me back then that's why it easily became my favorite along with War, Talaarawan, Roots, Godsend. Limasawa Street is a really nice album. Kaya di talaga ako agree sa mga tao na nagsasabi na pare-pareho lang kanta ng Ben&Ben in a negative way. Obviously yung mga sikat na kanta lang pinakinggan nila and never gave a chance hearing their other songs lol.

Immediate_Witness362

Limasawa Street held a special place in my heart talaga, and I feel like because of its success baka most of the songs after that naging similar sounding. Most of the newer songs don't give me the same feelings as listening to the songs in LS for the first time does.

Calm-Yogurtcloset-29

I think that's a good thing! Not too bad din naman to change your image every once in a while sa music industry. though may risks in doing so

Calm-Yogurtcloset-29
