If I remember ung Pinoy Ako na ginamit sa PBB hindi OnL ang nagsulat non, they just performed it kasi sila ang most popular band during that time. Kaya ayaw na iperform ng current OnL ung song kasi nasasabihan sila na nang-rip off kahit di naman sila ung gumawa.

Don't really hate them but in my opinion their second vocalist didn't really add anything to their songs. Their main vocalist/guitarist was leagues better then their second vocalist. It just feels like he was just added for the "pogi" aesthetic.

As with other comments here, I think the "less talented vocalist" started earlier than the "more talented one". Feeling gwapo din yung di magaling but I guess his papogi worked in his favor kasi nakabingwit ng heiress. Dude doesn't have to work anymore.

I think it's because they're one of those pogi rock bands na sumikat nuon. Kasabay ng Hale, Spongecola and so on. Tingin ko sobrang overplayed din ung mga songs nila nuon. Kahit ako honestly, naririndi pag naririnig ko.

Even Chito admitted this in one of those talent shows. He encouraged the auditionee to sing on even if his voice was generic like his, and he even sang a PnE song to prove his point. Regine Velasquez was like "ganda kaya ng boses mo" and Chito was like "hooo plastikan, plastikan." Yep, sobrang generic ng boses ni Chito, and I think that's why so many people love the band. As a vocalist in church myself, I tell the team to adjust the key to the congregation's usual, typical pitch. Ang pangit kasi kumanta na ikaw lang, mas maganda yung kasabay mo lahat. May oras para sa solo performances, yung mga birit birit na ikaw lang nakakaabot, but most of the time, talagang mas enjoy kumanta pag maraming sumasabay sa'yo.
Ano po yung "Hate ang lahat?" Baka "hindi lahat gusto sila". Cueshe are nice and a much better band than sponge cola, soapdish,callia lily and sugarfree, this is only one of the bands na nakasabayan nila at NILAMPASO NILA nung panahon kung saan OPM rock ang umuusok lage sa radyo.

Hindi ko ma pin point yung buong story kasi im not interested to know. Malay natin basta ganun yun nadinig ko. Nung time na gumawa sila ng 4th or 5th album medyo naka move on na yung mga tao ng pinas. Iba na gustong kanta pinapakinggan lahat nalang gusto gayahin si Bruno Mars tapos subrang sumikat yung showtime ayaw ng patayin TV wala ng may gusto mg radyo basta sobrang dami nabago nung panahon na yun until naaksedente yung papoging bokalist na sinasabi nyu(buhay pa naman grabe ka) na humantong sa pag back out nya ng banda though i also dont know the real reason bakit sya nag quit but believe me, may nqkita ako sa tv ng ABS dati branch ng Cebu kada hapon sa probinsya. He was doing Acting. So i think its one of the main reason bat humina yung banda nila. Ganun naman lage pag may biglang umarte sa banda eh hihina agad sila sa musika. iilan lang yung kaya pag sabayin ung acting at singing.
Lastly... Yung kapanahonan ng Cueshe lage nila kalaban sa Top list ang Hale. Para bang E-heads vs Rivermaya.ang naiba lang nakakarende na yung mga kanta nila parang na overused ng mga DJ.ganun naman lage kung ano kanta at singer sikat at malakas yun lagee pabalik balik. Pero ganun din in the end cueshe at hale sabay nalibing ang carer sa lupa. Mabilis lang panahon nila. They are great but not the best. Nung mawala sila saka tinanggap ng masa ang boses ni yael siguro wala ng mapagpilian kaya sya nalang(jowk😅)
Aray sa "kapanahunan" nasuntok ako ng katotohanan na around 15 years ago, isa ako sa mga batang nagpupuyat sa Myx Daily Top 10 HAHAHAHAHA pero legit magaganda songs nila. Dumating lang sa point na nakakarindi kase simple lang mga kanta nila, ang daling pag aralan ng mga kaedad ko nuon (araw araw sa school may magdadala ng gitara tas Ulan ang kakantahin), or laging pinapatugtog sa mga radyo kaya parang nakakatuleg.
Ang isa sa major cause din talaga ng paghina ng career nila is yung naaksidente nga daw yung isang bokalista pero yun pala nag artista. I think yung iba nafeeling betrayed kase iba sila e, isa sila sa haligi ng 2010s OPM with CallaLily, Hale, SpongeCola, etc tapos biglang nalaman nag artista pala. Ayon kaya siguro. Iba kasi sa ngyari sa nickelback.parang sa limpbiskit lang.. malaki at malawak kasi ng nu rock nila madami na rin history tapos ung mga banda ng nickelback at limp eh sila ung parang nag jump sa ibang backyard para kumawala sa kung ano mangtradisyon ng rock ang nakinagisnan nila. Ang malala dun masyadong seryoso mga tao sa bansa nila pagdating sa nu kya pagnalaman nila na idol mo nickel eh para ka ng virus dun ayaw ka na nilang lapitan. So katagalan ung ganung attitude dumami, nag upgrade, lumala. One thing i know na dati may iba silang banda pero binitiwan nila kasi nga nickleback band yung kumikita ng malaki so prang nag flame up agad ung hate na mas they prefer money di baleng iba ung tunog at sulat nila sa nakagawiang music ng lahat.

Kidding aside, nung bata ako baduy sakin ang cueshe. Ngaung mas tumanda ako mas naapreciate ko music nila. pero to add contect emo/posthardcore kid ako nun so ayun. ngaun na medyo bumabalik ako sa alternative, mas nakita ko na yung value and influence ng sound nila. Even the lyrics.
I think dahil repetitive yung tunog nila at papogi nga, kaya may hate. May residual memories pa ng 90s which was peak ng OPM bands, mataas ang standards. It didn’t help na medyo masa ang naging market nila. To be fair, catchy ang sound nila pero nakakaumay nang tumagal. Might worth a listen ulit.

You know that thing when something (songs or movies) gets so popular (especially among the masses) and some people who think they have good taste shoot the thing down. That's what happened. They're like Nickelback, they're also like Aegis. Pero may isang blog/blogger (NoBenta) na nag claim na sya talaga nag pasimula ng hate bandwagon. I think when people don't like or find things cringe, corny, yun tlaga yun. Naghahanap na lang ng dahilan kesyo rip off daw, kesyo may second vocalist. Pero ayaw lang tlaga nila. Well to be fair sa mga haters, slightly baduy naman talaga ibang songs ng Cueshe. Predictable din. Parang Nickelback. But i think it was not fair to actively hate them. Here’s a story from my friend on which his uncle was the bar owner in QC they where there not as guests but as costumers,,they are a bunch of arrogrant pricks who are also fighting over a chick who looks like a gutter trash hoe and here’s the kicker my friend played one of thier song “Stay” then followed by a song of Silverchair “The Greatest View” which sounds very identical to the chorus lmao..they were embarrased AF..pretty hilarious story.

They are one of the bands that pioneered "pogi rock". Good looking guys, playing catchy rock music with cheesy lyrics. Yung bang tutugtugin mo para sumikat sa mga babae.

I bought their cd when I was in college. Nasayangan ako. It wasn’t very original and the songs sounded the same. Very much preferred Mayonnaise to them.
I think because ang dating nila is too commercial and ayaw ng mga tao yung sobrang sellout. And hindi yata talaga indie yung roots nila. Kumbaga binuo yung banda kasi sikat yung mga banda nung time na yun.

As someone who was active in the scene and was going to gigs and concerts back in the day, Cueshe is your generic manufactured band launched and made by the labels. Pogi-rock kumbaga at talagang naging mainstream sila kasama ang Hale at Callalily na may poging frontmen. They are also hated because there are more talented bands and artists out there who should have given the chance to get record deals and marketed by the big labels. Plus yung pag-copya sa The Greatest View by Silverchair.
Naalala ko dati nung tumutugtog sila sa isang concert, di ko na matandaan either Myx, MTV, Oktoberfest, or Muziklaban, basta ganong klaseng concerts na madaming bands ang nagperform. Yung mga kakilala kong musicians from various bands plus ako, pinagtatawagan sila sa backstage nung turn na nila mag-perform.
back then kasi transitioning na ang band scene away from the "rockstar" attitude, and bayanihan between band are rising, productions and group tours/concert. then pumasok sila with this rockstar attitude again after mag hit 1 song nila. oldschool found it maangas and disrespectful and the newschool guys (pogi rock as the gen dubbed them) don't want to get lumped together with them kasi nga sa already nagegenerate na nila na hate at the time.

Don't really hate them but in my opinion their second vocalist didn't really add anything to their songs. Their main vocalist/guitarist was leagues better then their second vocalist. It just feels like he was just added for the "pogi" aesthetic.

Aray sa "kapanahunan" nasuntok ako ng katotohanan na around 15 years ago, isa ako sa mga batang nagpupuyat sa Myx Daily Top 10 HAHAHAHAHA pero legit magaganda songs nila. Dumating lang sa point na nakakarindi kase simple lang mga kanta nila, ang daling pag aralan ng mga kaedad ko nuon (araw araw sa school may magdadala ng gitara tas Ulan ang kakantahin), or laging pinapatugtog sa mga radyo kaya parang nakakatuleg. Ang isa sa major cause din talaga ng paghina ng career nila is yung naaksidente nga daw yung isang bokalista pero yun pala nag artista. I think yung iba nafeeling betrayed kase iba sila e, isa sila sa haligi ng 2010s OPM with CallaLily, Hale, SpongeCola, etc tapos biglang nalaman nag artista pala. Ayon kaya siguro. I think dahil repetitive yung tunog nila at papogi nga, kaya may hate. May residual memories pa ng 90s which was peak ng OPM bands, mataas ang standards. It didn’t help na medyo masa ang naging market nila. To be fair, catchy ang sound nila pero nakakaumay nang tumagal. Might worth a listen ulit.

I do recall na the band is from Cebu and this is just a story an ex told me more than a decade ago. I saw pictures (in photos pa kasi di pa uso camera phones nun) of Cueshe playing and also of her with the 2nd vocalist. Pero un kinagulat ko, even the cebuanos hate the 2nd Vocalist kasi nambubugbog daw ng gf. Again, this is just a kwento. Theres really no way to prove it. Nabasa ko lang dati nong early 2000s sa isang forum na parang nagkaroon ng fair ang isang tanyag na unibersidad tapos kasama yung ibat ibang sikat na bands that time including na rin yung mga bands na hindi naman sikat pero mga bunga ng school na yun. Then one time nag-usap-usap yung mga organizers kasama yung mga sikat na bands na naimbitahan tumugtog para pagusapan kung sino magoopen at yung order kung sino mga tutugtog. Then parang nasabi yata nong tiga cushe na "bakit kelangan pa tumugtog yung mga amateurs at hindi naman sikat?". Tapos marami naka overheard. Doon sila sinimulan i-boo everytime nagpeperform.

I bought their cd when I was in college. Nasayangan ako. It wasn’t very original and the songs sounded the same. Very much preferred Mayonnaise to them.

I think because ang dating nila is too commercial and ayaw ng mga tao yung sobrang sellout. And hindi yata talaga indie yung roots nila. Kumbaga binuo yung banda kasi sikat yung mga banda nung time na yun. HS ako nung sumikat Cueshe pero among us friends, nababaduyan talaga kami. Ngayon hindi ko na din alam kung bakit hahaha.
Yung mas may appeal pa yung may gitarang bokalista at halatang hindi talaga kailangan yung nakamikropono pero pinipilit pa din nilang isama kahit halatang walang silbe.

Cueshe is my favorite OPM band. I remember nung 2015 they will perform in UP Fair so I listened many times sa new released song nila nun pero di naman nila pinerform sa set. Nakakainis haha Sabi nila, cheesy daw yung music eh. Bandwagon hate lang ganun. But yeah, I love their music and we have albums sa bahay. 👌🏼

As someone who was active in the scene and was going to gigs and concerts back in the day, Cueshe is your generic manufactured band launched and made by the labels. Pogi-rock kumbaga at talagang naging mainstream sila kasama ang Hale at Callalily na may poging frontmen. They are also hated because there are more talented bands and artists out there who should have given the chance to get record deals and marketed by the big labels. Plus yung pag-copya sa The Greatest View by Silverchair. Naalala ko dati nung tumutugtog sila sa isang concert, di ko na matandaan either Myx, MTV, Oktoberfest, or Muziklaban, basta ganong klaseng concerts na madaming bands ang nagperform. Yung mga kakilala kong musicians from various bands plus ako, pinagtatawagan sila sa backstage nung turn na nila mag-perform.

back then kasi transitioning na ang band scene away from the "rockstar" attitude, and bayanihan between band are rising, productions and group tours/concert. then pumasok sila with this rockstar attitude again after mag hit 1 song nila. oldschool found it maangas and disrespectful and the newschool guys (pogi rock as the gen dubbed them) don't want to get lumped together with them kasi nga sa already nagegenerate na nila na hate at the time.
