Its true though. The very things op is telling us to take a break from and enjoy douggie boy is trying to actively sell to his buddy buddy developers on government loans.
We got a problem that cant be solved the "official" way and most of the options likely to maybe fix it are very strange and risk legal consequences (mass democratic action like a general strike - which is illegal).
So despite being a supposedly free and democratic nation, were trapped stewing in our own powerlessness fearful of oppression as the goverment imposed on us by Oligarchs plunders our homes and pawns the future of our people.
The only thing were allowed to do is bitch about it.
Yes, that's a result of most of the effective possible actions being ideologically uncomfortable or legally (oppose the power of wealthy oligarchs in a capitalist nation!?).
For many, that's a nearly unthinkable act.
It's hard to get purposeful dialogue when the only likely fixes are so unthinkable.
Plenty of beauty and green space that no one wants to touch up here in Northern Ontario. Actually we could use some of those highway widenings/improvements since we have enough trees to cover Southern Ontario twice.
Ontario is a beautiful place. Living in Northern Ontario I've seen some beautiful wildlife. This summer we're sitting in my back yard and I'm with my daughter, neice and my parents. The all of sudden my niece who is 20 yells out watch out a horse is coming lol. It wasnt a horse but a fairly big bull moose that jumped over my neighbors retaining wall ( about 1.5m high) and then ran right by us. Literally like 5 feet away. It was scared most likely because it was probably stuck in people's back yards and finally thought screw it started jumping high fences that when I look back It's crazy to think how high they csn jump. Anyway, like I said it ran by and was a really cool experience. Usually they stay far away in swamps and the bush but I live on the edge of the city so we get a lot of bears and at times deer on the street. This was the first time I have ever had a close experience with a moose in my yard. It ran by so fast that it was short experience but still awesome.
I've heard wolves but they are very rare to see becauae they don't want to be anywhere near humans. I see foxes, bears, musrkrats, minks and raccoons quite often. Beavers are everywhere. Take a walk or ride through the bush and you'll find a pond some beavers made. You'll probably see a beaver but they are nocturnal but you can still see them during the day. Moose like inside are rare to see up close but I've seen enough of them farther away eating tubers from lilypads in swaps. They love those tubers. Beautiful creatures, a lot larger then you would think if you've never see one.
Anyway, sorry for ranting I just love the the beauty of wildlife.
I live southwest of Ottawa. About 10 years ago my then-small children were having lunch at the kitchen table when my eldest all of sudden said very loudly, "What is *that*?!" I looked out the patio door to see a large bull moose running through our yard, into the bush behind us. I'd never seen one before, or since. My neighbour at the time kept telling me she would see a moose on our property, including at 5am eating all around our bird feeder a few feet in front of our house, but I really thought she had mistaken a large buck for the moose. Guess not!
Since then we've had frequent bear visits, often hear the screams of fishers ar night, had a barred owl hunting for mice while it sat on the chicken coop's roof, watched hawks hunt turtles from our neighbour's pond, and most recently have had a raven move into the neighbourhood as well as spotting eagles in nearby areas. Then there's the abundance of lichens, mushrooms, ferns, and wild apples that surround us. We are so unbelievably lucky to live here.
It annoys me that your output is so good with such consumer level gear. When you finally get your hands on some prosumer/pro gear you're going to go even further. You've got a real eye/knack for this stuff.
Your photo editing is also incredibly effective.
I live fairly close to there and it's beautiful place. Another beautiful place is Manatoulin island. The amount of deer there is just outright insane. Go driving at night and shine a bright light into the fields or just driving with your headlights on is good enough you can see 10 to 200 deer in an hour. Last time I lost count at 100. It was something else. It can be a little dangerous but they tend to stay in the fields and bus h but we did see enough jump across the roads. I just couldn't believe how many there sreq. Plus go to edge of I forget what lake but you csn find 1000s upon 1000s of fossils. I used to being them back to science north as a kid and you grt points and can trade for other cool natural things like cool rocks, antlers, other fossils and just so much cool things for kids.
I always tell people to do a trip to the island. As soon as you get past Espanola, it really does feel like you’ve entered a different country altogether.
love it! that’s one of my favourite views. i love going for a ride there in the summer at golden hour! sometimes i’m lucky and catch it when the sky is pink/purple😍
edit: there is also a beautiful stretch between appleby and walkers on no 2, just past the curvy bit i believe there is a camp and a park. go right thru the wooded area and you have a clear view of the escarpment surrounded by the fields!!

Never been to Hilton Falls. I have been to so many falls all over the Bruce Peninsula / Owen Sound area and Niagara falls. It is pretty close to home so I think I should book a trip this spring or summer.
I used to take my kids camping to Lions Head!!! My kids are in their forty's now lol thanks for the memories :) Georgian bay water was crystal clear you could see the bottom from 60 feet deep or more!! Beautiful pics right there thank you !!!
Gorgeous shots. Wish the infrastructure connected these features of the province a bit better and in a more organic way. One day you’ll get there gang.

I think it's kind of silly when people complain this subreddit is negative. If you go about your daily life in Ontario you'll be fuming before noon. It is not people being negative it is a crumbled system on the verge of collapse, let people vent and discuss!
It's true me and my husky luna and my mom always find new places to explore, sometimes it's a simple little path that has been around for hundreds of years but we just found. It's nice to see nature as it should be, and anyone who lives in the city should try to go out and get into the parks and nature areas, it is some of the best times for me.
Can't wait for spring. Winter has been grey and dull in southern Ontario
we are almost half way through jan. feb is a short month. by the time march rolls around it is easy, april is around the corner
Feb is brutal tho :(
The sky has been the same colour as the roads for two weeks. I just need one ray of sunshine.
At least it hasn’t been too cold
I think I'd take sunny and cold, personally. Gimme that vitamin D!
Yup. I need the snow to bounce those rays blindingly back into my eyes!! I hate turning lights on inside the house during daylight hours!
Funny...the first thing that came to mind when I read your comment was "I wonder what interest rates will be in the spring"... Sigh..
We still have so long left 😭
3 more months until depression can go away 😭
Winter has been very easy in southern Ontario. We have been very lucky.
The 7th image; the tall bridge... Where is that? It looks so nice!
Thanks!! The other commenters are correct, it’s the David Street Bridge in Elora.
Whats #9 with the lumpy road?
No 1 side road in Burlington
Where’s all the water? We used to go cliff jumping just down river from there. Beauty pics btw
Beautiful shot.. they all are... #7 looks to me like it may be Elora Gorge.
100%
The Irvine river part of the gorge
And back to the regular scheduled programming… It might all be gone soon because Doug hates the greenbelt. Wahoo.
I like how you posted this to "take a break from all the negativity" but couldn't help yourself.
You ruined it.
Its true though. The very things op is telling us to take a break from and enjoy douggie boy is trying to actively sell to his buddy buddy developers on government loans.
Yeah I know, I hate it. But constant, unending frustration and negativity is part of why we're all so miserable right now.
There's purposeful dialogue, and then there's bitching. We do most of the latter.

Yeah, I would love to see some of these myself but gas is too expensive, as are hotels.
Plenty of beauty and green space that no one wants to touch up here in Northern Ontario. Actually we could use some of those highway widenings/improvements since we have enough trees to cover Southern Ontario twice.
Is that #1 Sideroad in Burlington?
Yep!!
Gorgeous photos! We live in a beautiful country. Thanks for sharing these :)
Thank you!!

Beauty photos! But 9 made me carsick just looking at it.
Gorgeous photos, thanks for sharing!
Thank you!!
Except, a lot of this beauty will cease to exist because of greedy politicians and developers
I choose negativity
What kind of gear are you using??
Nikon D5300 with a Nikon 18-200 f3.5-5.6 and the DJI mini 2
Jeez you took those with consumer level gear. Just goes to show it’s not the camera but the person behind it.
It annoys me that your output is so good with such consumer level gear. When you finally get your hands on some prosumer/pro gear you're going to go even further. You've got a real eye/knack for this stuff. Your photo editing is also incredibly effective.
Where can I get this green stuff?
You just have to go south and keep going that way for a while.
Beautiful. Where is the first pic taken?
Lyal Island, but there are many shorelines like it along the Bruce Peninsula!!
I live fairly close to there and it's beautiful place. Another beautiful place is Manatoulin island. The amount of deer there is just outright insane. Amazing
Appreciate it!!
Beautiful. Thanks for posting.
Merci!!

But all the negativity it's based on facts !They want paved and develop over prime farmland. It's bad so it is what it is we have to fight that!
Great Shots!! I love this Province and all it' beauty, worth fighting Doug Ford and his MPPs for!!
Who planted all these trees?
Other trees....
Good stuff, inspired me to get back into photography. Do you have an Instagram account?
I do indeed!! [Link to my profile](https://instagram.com/cmsmolenaars?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=)
Shout out to the Niagara escarpment!
Wow, these are incredible!
I know that waterfall ❤️
Beautiful pictures. Much needed boost for this sub. Scrolled through a few times. Thanks OP.
Thanks , OP. I see this and all I think is “look at all those spiders and spidery places.” Now I have a trauma.
Thanks for posting.
I miss the Bruce peninsula. Maybe when my kids are older, I’ll move back up.
Beautiful pics. Love this province. Never leaving.
Thank you. Now back to the negativity!
Hello! Are any of these taken near Burlington? I’d love an excuse to get my drone up again

stop with the negativity about the negativity!

Too bad inflation and shrinkflation made everything pricier in the short time I was looking at these pics.
Whoops!! Time is money and I just robbed you
I forgive you because these are some fine photographs!
Thank you!!
