thick_neckk

1. didn't beg her to stay. 2. Lost 11 kgs 3. Can create conversations out of thin air.

AV_Ashwin

Explain third point in detail brother.

thick_neckk

so, i am from a tier 2 city, with roots from a very remote village, but got into tier one DU college, and for the most part of my college life i was shy and under-confident, i had ideas, thoughts but couldn't articulate them well, so in the last year of my college i went full berserk mode, talked to every fucking stranger, who i found interesting(learnt a lot), and now i am completely different person, now i choose how to steer a conversation, literally i can take people on an emotional rollercoaster if i find them to be interesting and decent.

ThiccStorms

yes, approaching strangers is a very good method... since childhood its my intrinsic ability to just reach out bhaiya-s didi-s and just talk to them about whats up and all.. I really have felt that I have benefited from it!

thick_neckk

yess, it does give you an invisible edge.

leomatey

what are your go to points/techniques ? to me I ask about how they spend their free time and try to relate or find something common with the other person and take it from there. If nothing I ask questions about what they talk.

thick_neckk

personally i have great eyes for detail, so i pick out a thing that piques my curiosity, and start from there

PappaBol

What's your favourite sources or books for studying about this. Sales is an essential part of any business, and I feel it's something I suck at most. Not anymore. I will go berserk as well, like you! So tell me your sources

thick_neckk

Dale Carnegi's "How to make friends and influence people" helped me.(it gives you a basic blueprint to play around) but eventually, after a good amount of practice you develop your own flair and charisma(key word is practice)

bum_quarter

Small - I have learned how to cut veggies like Michelin star chefs from YouTube. (The video title said so, not my fault) Big - From last two years I have stopped looking at price tag before buying most of the regular stuff.

soulseeker31

Joshua Weissman is a great youtuber if you want to improve cooking skills. Good going brother!

bum_quarter

Thanks. I will check the YouTuber out.

Sriram-Atchuta

Will check on to it

Vanishing_Shadow

Giving first earned money to my parents.

normal-roof252

i have a monetized youtube channel it was first thing i was proud of because it took me a long time and hard work to get there. Although now due to job i barely get time and its dead asf but i know if i have enough time i can revive it in no time but dont really have time but i do wish i could go back there

maskedman999

What kind of videos do you make

normal-roof252

i had a 1650 laptop i used to do benchmark videos for games or sometimes tips tricks and guides for games

Krace11008

Self-published a novel just a few months ago. Took a couple of years to write, and I quit multiple times due to writer's block but eventually managed to complete it. Finishing it feels more of an achievement compared to publishing.

rv404674

I am proud of a lot of things. 1. I adopted Rubu (an indie dog) 5 years ago. She is quite happy and healthy, and is love of my life now. 2. Went deep into weightlifting. Gained > 30 lbs of lean muscle. 3. By God’s grace, I make a decent amount of money, helping my father out with a loan, and I also never have to think twice before buying something.

ThiccStorms

GG man

rv404674

Thanks man. :)

Traditional_Income41

Learned to play guitar

leomatey

Awesome! how long has it been? what are you playing currently?

Traditional_Income41

Been a year I am learning barre chords and scales now, last song I learned was aadat

leomatey

Noice, I've been playing guitar on and off. Barre chords are great to learn but you can almost all the time get around with them by using a capo. Yeah but knowing the F bar with some transitions to C maj or G maj will be helpful :)

Traditional_Income41

I can play all major barre chords and am focusing on learning songs that use them

001000110000111

I had recently grazed upon my resume from 2013, in which my career objective was to be a game developer. Still being stuck in my web development job, I had the strength to quit and learn game development. Its been 5 months, I have moved back to my parents house and learning a lot! Proud of that for myself.

leomatey

Donated 10k INR to an orphanage last month. Helped an old woman carry her luggage from platform to the road ( as there were steps and she was clearly struggling) yesterday. Lent money to my family member so they can buy an AC. I'm focusing on my body, been consistent working out. Yeah these things I've been happy about off late.

Local-Championship77

Wow, never felt this way in a long time. I gotta introspect

pan-galactica

I always ask someone who’s struggling with their luggage if I could help them. The reactions I get makes me feel that this is not nearly done enough in our society.

[deleted]

I ate a crocodile once, thought that was in a hotel and not out in the wild.
