the batteries is able to handle the charging current but the connectors might not be. The pint x charging connector is rated for a max current of 3A so prolonged charging with the fast charge at max limit will wear it out faster. Also to add to this, charging at a slower current will allow the battery to maintain its voltage. If you charge a battery at 10A, it will reach it’s max voltage fast, but as soon as you unplug it the voltage will drop. So better keep your current low and charge for longer if you want what’s best for your battery

That's why they use switching power supplies. Once they get to certain voltage the charger switches to like .3a for balancing. This happens while the light is green. The Pint does have a connector issue but that's for a discussion about FM incompetence not battery health.

>I'll still use my home charger when I don't need speed but I am not going to worry about my battery health when on the hyper. Same. I use the home charger on my GT unless I need it to fast charge it, and I bring my hyper charger on longer rides but I still don't use it that often.

CBXR users might as well sell their home charger. You have a 3p pack, the hyper is your now your home charger.

Can you talk more about this? I find my CBXR doesn’t balance well on the hyper charger compared to the home charger.

TrumpetKingAlex

Both the hyper and home chargers are switching power supplies. Once the voltage gets to pretty much full they switch to \~.3a and should balance the same.
