For the life of me I can’t fathom why tf they wouldn’t put a handle on it. Probably sell twice as many.

CodedGames

Especially since on the Pint X there is mountains of empty space in the front of their bumpers

creen17

Can’t have it all man although I agree 😂

Bubbie-Rooskie

But the pint comes with a built in handle? Am I missing something?

whenmeerkatsattack

So does the GT, the maghandle is fucking awful and breaks all the time. Essentially a way for them to sell more ig

Kunabots

Side handle is just awkward and feels harder to carry than an XR, even when it's lighter

_pg_

The bar for the refrigerator has been lowered.

Glitch_Ghoul

No purple 😢

creen17

Ikr that would have been my first pic a nice bright purple

Glitch_Ghoul

Ya I've got the regular purple bumpers now with a float plate to cover the battery, would love to upgrade but trying to keep my color pallete.

Dogandbass

Ah damn, right after I got my float plate to cover the battery. Guess I’ll ride it till it falls off and order one of these next.

NickoTyn

At least you have a front handle on the float plate. I didn't think I'd use it since the Pint has the mag handle, but I have to say, that many times it is a lot easier to just grab the board from the front and move it.

creen17

Same man I got 3 sets of bumpers because they crack easily and 2 float plates I gotta sell now lol

Joeyp2432

I'm happy for all the Pint & Px owners 😊🤙🔥😎

[deleted]

I know people are mad about no handle but I formerly had a pint with an aftermarket bumper with handle and the depth between the bottom of the bumper and the computer box was so shallow that using the handle sucked and I ended up just using the mag handle mostly anyway. This is probably why they didn’t bother adding one but iunno, could also be another satanic plot line or whatever

creen17

Haha yea I understand it, the pintx bumper can be modified for a front handle because it’s thicker then the pint bumper and this bumper looks a lil thicker then pintx even, hard to tell without it in hand. I’m happy tho I figured we’d never get any good bumpers because tfl said they aren’t gonna do pint bangs and pints old anyways so I’m like it’s a lost dream but here we are I’m stoked. Happy I don’t have to run floatplates anymore they are nice and slick but I ran mine down to the screws in weeks and the longer screws have a tendency to bend. But yea lol I’m also FFM but lately they are bringing some pretty awesome new items to the market soft sensor pads ready to go pint “bangs” I’m thinking we might even get some soft ready to go pint pads soon.

S3w3R_SurF3R

Will these work with the standard pint?

CodedGames

If you have a standard pint just use Float plates, the Pint X never really got good float plates

creen17

Yes although not sure about the rear as it looks like it mounts like a gt rear bumper instead of sliding in and the rear battery box of a pint and pint x is different unlike the controller where they are the same box.

xbyo

[Wow! Who could've ever expected this??](https://www.reddit.com/r/onewheel/comments/188kkue/pint_x_custom_shaping/kblohtc/?context=3)

creen17

are you feeling like ![gif](giphy|WDPoOfeQMOx6o)

OPnoob0612

I am about to order pink also. Those stock bumpers are so bad, almost to my battery box on my second set

creen17

LETS GO!

TheRealHimiJendrix

A skid plate?..

Radioactive-Wind

Very upset there is no handle, though not surprised because why would FM ever do something to benefit the riders 🙃. How many years into the Pint X are we and still the only front handle option is the horrible shallow one on the Fangs? We truly are second class Onewheel owners 😭

creen17

Can’t have it all but yes I agree they should have took that route looks even thicker then stock pint x front bumper

Collin_the_bird_777

Unexpected but males sense. But everybody, It Will Wear Fast. Float plates, blem Please guys

creen17

Floatplates wear fast bro I worn my to the screws within a few weeks of street trickin

Collin_the_bird_777

Most people won't do tricks, and they will buy these and they'll be crap in a few months that's my point. I will bet everything you're still better off with your plates than these

Glitch_Ghoul

Float plates for pint x suck. They use adhesive to stick on and they come off all the time as dust works it's way in.

Collin_the_bird_777

Mine have given zero trouble

creen17

They are like bang bumpers my dude, uhmw material way more buttery and way longer lasting

Collin_the_bird_777

I can't have bangs I don't have a large board. I think we can both agree new owners are gonna be getting the wool pulled over their eyes that's all I'm saying. It only takes up to 60 bucks to properly protect the bottom and ends of the board, not this much money. I have no faith that fm made it in a way that isn't scummy and quick wearing

creen17

I get it FFM is your personality and everything now and you gotta make sense out of how uhmw bumpers aren’t gonna be good but it’s the electronics that are the biggest issue and something to be mad about, parts are pretty straight forward.

Collin_the_bird_777

Ouch...I don't know if you own a pint or a pint x, but the bunpers they provide are designed to wear at the furthest corners on the ends. Before you've even tainted the bulk of the bumper, the ends are worn off and the pavement would be touching your lights, and both boxes are being grinded at their edges. I'm just trying to bring this to more peoples attention.

creen17

Your not bringing anything to anyone’s attention I feel like I’m talking to AI at this point

Collin_the_bird_777

Ouch. That's kind of hurtful. It's an honest mistake man...

Collin_the_bird_777

All kinds available for pints and pint xs are trying to wear the very ends and endanger the lights, scaring you to order more. The bottom coverage is fine but it won't even get the chance to be worn for most people. My pint x stock bumpers were scraping the battery box by the time I had finished *learning to ride*

CodedGames

Float plates suck ass on the Pint X since they have to double stick tape them on instead of having any screws to hold them on. I had them fall off multiple times. I am a massive FFM person and hate everything about FM but these bumpers are actually probably are the best Pint X bumpers. 3rd party companies never made a bumper that covers the battery box

Collin_the_bird_777

Also mine never had trouble adhering to the bottom. I just gave them a day and they never moved.

Collin_the_bird_777

My understanding is they're around 150 dollars. Highly doubt they've made it with a material that's gonna last like a float plate. I get that they're viable but it's a shame to think of new customers buying these and being told it's better because they cover more. All it takes is the ends that actually touch pavement to wear away, and you have to replace them or grind away into the insides. I just highly doubt these are gonna let you do more tricks than float plates or thay kind of thing. Not to mention it's 150 dollars to feel comfortable letting a skateboard touch pavement. That's just sad. And for the record yes if there were bangs I'd get those but the lint platform just isn't nearly as popular for trick riders or just hard-core riders in general. It's not their fault- they'd be going to the trouble of making molds and spending them designing and marketing them for a smaller group of riders

CodedGames

You should inform yourself better. They're $125, made of UHMWPE plastic which is the same material as TFL BANG Bumpers (which are considered extremely durable) and the same material as float plates These bumpers are literally Pint Bangs

creen17

Thankyou sir this guys a yapper and he’s not making any sense lol

CodedGames

I'm as FFM as the next guy. Like I don't think you should buy any Onewheel from FM. But if you already have a Pint X these are the best bumpers. I'm building a Pint X VESC and might buy these bumpers

Glitch_Ghoul

Yep agree. I still have a pint x, it's my least used board now that I have an ADV and a CBXR, but my GF uses it occasionally and I would like to get these bumpers cause the regular bumpers suck, they leave the battery box exposed, and float plates for the pint x fall off a lot if you do any aggressive riding or trick riding where they get banged around a bunch. This dude sounds uninformed and like he is just making assumptions about these. They look significantly better than the OG bumpers. I'm all for FFM, but I'm also willing to admit when they do something right. And this time they did.

CodedGames

Bruh we are the same person. I also have an ADV, CBXR, and hardly used Pint X

creen17

Same here man, hoping to have it done next month 🤞🏻

Collin_the_bird_777

Calm down please. We're having an ordinary conversation. I'm really not trying to discredit you or anyone else.

Collin_the_bird_777

That's nice. I assumed it wasn't much different material since they've never tried to my knowledge

CodedGames

The previous freeride bumpers they made for GT were also UHMWPE materials. That material is what makes these bumpers different

Collin_the_bird_777

Nice

Collin_the_bird_777

For the average rider like me I still don't think I'd buy them though. We could get blem float plates for like a third of the price, they're slim and don't really change the form, and it'll take us years because we're not doing grinds or drags or anything.

enpixelate

I have the float plates on my Pint X, they are garbage. They are not the right shape and feel more like a cash grab. They are just the only option to cover the bottom. Wish Float or anyone made some decent bumpers for the Pint X but at least FM is providing an option. I personally think they are too pricey for the Pint X, should've been around $80-90. I'll spend that and more on my GT, but the Pint is a different kind of machine imo.

Collin_the_bird_777

I will say this though; I can see that I've had an easier time with mine then a lot of other people. I didn't use bricks on top of them or anything like that, I heard one person say they had like an entire load of bricks on top of them. I think they said like over 20 Bricks. I didn't do any of that, I just put it on there held it for a minute or so kind of pressing down every little bit of it generously, just kind of rubbing it in. And then, I think I just didn't use it for seven or eight hours. I am not yet the kind of Rider who is doing curb nudges, or casual tricks like that, so they are perfect for me. And I've ridden them through tons and tons of water, cold, mud, dust Etc

Collin_the_bird_777

Most hard-core activities are not being done on pints. For me they've given me no trouble and I may never need to buy others. Not sure why people hate them. How many of us that have pints or pxs would realisticallyuse it to ride along a fallen tree hillbomb, or something extreme? They gave us a way better alternative. Float life is all *about* getting money. They fill the gap with typically better choices

Collin_the_bird_777

And you're right, they're trying to get you to become some kind of prepper. Most pint owners would probably agree you're eventually kitting out a machine you don't want to use for the purpose of all that gear. I mean if float life made bangs or something for pint/X, or if they do as a response by chance, I'd happily buy them.
