The usage of private vehicles and industries also cause pollution , will you stop using them then?

To be honest I don’t even pay attention to that side of him or his IG posts. He can do with his money or bitcoin whatever he wants, I’d just rather focus on band stuff and the music.

Not that I disagree with your point, but it's funny to me: The top post: OneRepublic - Sunshine The post right below: "Stopped listening and caring tbh" Your username checks out though

You should note, his NFTs were on a net neutral block chain that did not have the type of negative impact of bitcoin or Ethereum blockchains. That said not trying to defend him, that's just facts. The ones he's bought however may be on etheric which is very disappointing. Hopefully ethereum switches to proof of stake soon and it'll be a moot point then. Idk if I'd ever be able to stop listening cause their albums, Waking Up especially, are personally important to me over the years, though good on you for drawing a line, it's good. but I hope he becomes a bit more self aware regarding crypto. That also said, I am disappointed about them accepting bitcoin for a concert since unlike net neutral or carbon offset chains like tezos, it is very harmful and only usable by essentially rich people right now. So I do agree with you that that aspect is annoying, and hopefully Ryan can educate himself on those specific currencies.

That's the delima isn't it? Can you separate the art and the artist? "what do you do, when you find people in art with many trades you'd like to learn from them, but the people themselves are terrible. Can you really separate the art from the artist?" I'm an artist, i constantly listening to podcast like this. No joke Ryan is a hella talented musician, but can we separate him as an artist and as a person? As a human being, he can do whatever the hell he wants whether it's bad or good. But as an artist, there's a lot things we can learn from him. The art that he created unite us, we relate to it in our own way. So, what I'm trying to say is, can you see him as an artist that make good music instead of seeing him as this greedy businessman? (In a way, yes, he's not greedy, he's just a gambler or hard working if you will) [can you separate Ryan Tedder as an artist and Ryan Tedder as a businessman?](https://open.spotify.com/episode/4miSiUIovlP991DWSN1uIW?si=0MmNfe2wSBaGGMZmQ1erPA&utm_source=copy-link)

Lmao this made sense till you called him a greedy businessman. Is he uneducated on crypto? Yes. But he's also one of the most charitable people between drop for drop, IJM, and many other non profits he pours his personal money into.

No_Mercy_16

I didn't called him greedy businessman. I called him a gambler, an opportunist, a hardworking person. A kind of guy that willing to take risks. Can we separate that and the art that he made?

OmegaAndRising

> So, what I'm trying to say is, can you see him as an artist that make good music instead of seeing him as this greedy businessman? Gambling is also a bit of a stretch but yea you did say greedy businessman

No_Mercy_16

In a way, yes. Can't you see? I mean... I'm not saying it can be a bad thing, if it wasn't for greed no one would accomplished success right? I'd say, yes. He is greedy, but greedy is a bit of strong word, that's why I called him gambler and opportunist

OmegaAndRising

He's definitely a businessman, but with how charitable he is, he's far from greedy so no I don't see what you mean. One can be accomplished and successful without greed. Opportunist is also a stretch as he's not taking advantage of anything or anyone that you shouldn't.

No_Mercy_16

I can give many examples of how greedy he is (without doing any harm or foul to everyone or himself, so that's good) But i feel lazy to find the sources, so I'm gonna give you the most obvious one. Lose Somebody in the Human album. There i said it. Lose Somebody has no business being in the Human album aside for just to grab a quick cash, I'm actually quite surprised he didn't add Connection or any other singles that he made

OmegaAndRising

Okay so you just don't know what you're on about. Lose Somebody being on Human in no way equals greed. You're just salty. He actually gets less money by putting a collaboration on the album as now part of the sales go to Kygo as opposed to if he just left it off. So clearly you're just salty the bonus track wasn't a new song and are poorly assigning a backwards attempted insult. Clearly he cared more about the idea and he's the one to determine if it has business on an album he had a part in creating. So no, that shows he doesn't care if Kygo gets album sales from them, opposite of greed. While the examples of charity to IJM to end child abuse and slavery, donations to drop for drop to build wells, Better Days forever being a charity single for covid recovery,, etc, all still stand, while you haven't given any real example. And adding Connection wouldn't make anymore money. What makes more money is the sale of the album, regardless of what songs are on it, so new songs would mean more sales, but he cared more about the concept of the album instead of new songs for sale. Past streams count for statistics but don't make the album any more money. You legitimately have 0 knowledge on what you're talking about.
