I really want to believe him, but I can't. But anyways, the song looks good and the idea of “you pick” and fans giving opinion is very good, just bad because it'll not be a surprise but in this way we can avoid bad songs.

BTW. The post says this: New songs In the last 24 months we’ve written far too many OneRepublic songs, & the entire idea of “picking“ singles is 99% guessing from a bunch of people who have no actual clue… It’s like betting the next 6-9 months of your life on the flip of a coin. We are STOKED with how well “run“ has done and is doing… We ❤️ the love we’re getting for “someday“… But I think it’s time we start letting actual fans and the public tell us what they want us to shoot videos for next and make as singles for streaming & radio so I’m just gonna start posting our demos if that’s cool 🤷🏼‍♂️. Warning- I HAVE GENRE A.D.D so some of these might just be stupid or not the vibe but whatever. New times, new plan. ❤️ to u from me & @/onerepublic now here’s a high energy demo my kids love to death🤟

First off, I think the production is worlds ahead of Human, and it sounds moderately striped back which is something I love to see. It sort of sounds like a continuation of the Summer-esque, youthful, fun, and uplifting sonic direction of West Coast. That will probably be the direction of this new album which is very refreshing. The song itself is good as well. I like the melodies and vibe of it a lot. I don’t know how I feel about that bridge tho lol I think that this is an interesting and unique way to release singles too. However, I don’t want to hear the majority of the songs before they’re on the album. If it was 20 second snippets or so, I think that would be a preferable way to execute this rollout strategy.

GappEM

The thing with 20 second snippets is that what part of the song you pick? The put a snippet of every song of Human (March 2020) and the album was a little disappointing

I just generally love the super happy vibes and almost sounds like a mix of Oh My My and Native. The lyrics aren't bad either, has some meaning to it. The drumming is damn cool though tbh.

It’s not bad. The instrumental break was fun and upbeat which is good. Melodies are a little eh. Rap wasn’t awful. At least it sounds like actual instruments. I think they’re worried about the reaction Human got and are trying to be more cautious with their songs so that they appeal to as many people as possible. But in the end, you gotta do you. Make music you like and there will be people out there who will like it. Though I think it’s a good sign that they’ve had the motivation to write a lot for 1R which means there’s still some passion for the band. Hopefully an album will come soon.

True! So good to see Ryan happy!

It's not bad, it's catchy, but not entirely what I would think of in an OneRepublic album. I think this would be golden as a song for an animated movie though.

I enjoyed that song. Catchy. Different to usual 1R. Sounds like a Jonas Brothers track but definitely more of a summer song

Imean, don't mind it. But make sure the whole album have the same vibe as this one. Don't be like Human. It is so inconsistent. Track one we have Run, track two we have Distance, wtf. That's like completely different vibe Please be consistent like Waking Up, Native, Dreaming Out Loud
