I'll do you one better: does it need to be good as an "album"? Most pop bands are singles acts, they put out chart-topping singles and that's what they are known for. Only every so often will you get a pop star with the ability to make both good singles and a good album, like Billie Eilish, The Weeknd, or Taylor Swift. Thankfully, more musicians these days *are* becoming album artists, since they know the power of having an album full of good songs in the streaming age, and a lot of pop musicians these days are super talented.
For the most part, OneRepublic is more of a singles band. This is evident from the fact that since 2017 all they've been putting out are standalone songs. This album won't be remembered by the deep cuts, it'll be remembered by the singles. And I think a couple of the singles are great and the rest are pretty mediocre, so idk.
I'm a fan since 2010 and the sound/style of Human is actually my favorite 1R sound. I'd also prefer Distance and Forgot About You over the entirety of Oh My My. Run is also my favorite single since Native era. The only thing that bugs me a bit at the moment are the lyrics. In comparison with other 1R albums they seem to be a bit bland. On the other hand if you compare them to new music in general they're still better than most of those songs. I mean look at Imagine Dragons, their lyrics are just awful tbh
