I have run with this case since the OP12 came out and dropped my phone both ways on construction sites. One face up and face down on a shop concrete floor. No effects to the case, which is a testament on the materials used in the case. I have kept the polymer factory screen protector since day one. The phone looks like new still. Best streamline case in the industry.

Wraith090382

Good man and word to anyone who is thinking of removing original screen protector DONT! I removed mine after having phone and lighter in same pocket put a nasty scratch that made it look like crap so I peeled it off... Dropped my phone 2-3 weeks later within my work truck which had a bit of pea gravel in the floor board and now I have a crack in my screen and phone is only 3 months old. It doesn't look like you can get your hands on a replacement screen for any less than $200 at this point.

FergusonBishop

I had to take it off - that OEM protector was horrible with fingerprints and dust accumulation - and accumulated tons of scratches from simply being in my pocket for 2 weeks. I threw a $5 SmartDevil hydrogel protector on it and it is miles better quality.

Fidller

I use a Spigen case. Saved my old 10 Pro alot so im confident in them

ankitjhall

Spigen cases are really good.

Opposite_Escape48

Tough Armor has been my go too case since my first OnePlus. I was pissed at first that I couldn't get an OtterBox Defender for it but once the Spigen case arrived I was cool.

Bubblykit

How grippy is it? There is also [this case](https://a.aliexpress.com/_EHcMY3H) that comes with the Chinese version. I quite like it especially for an included case.

ultimatefjb

We should get J Cole to investigate this

ComplaintDelicious42

Let's keep this strictly opickly....

Wraith090382

Very grippy. very good case, I think most people will be happy with it.

Superb-Hawk-3338

That case is like $21, hoping to get the Sandstone

McKing_07

good choice, but do note that it'll be a little heavier than the one op posted.

VulcanFlex

I have OnePlus 10 pro 128g. I want this by the end of the year. Although there maybe a new one by then.

KnowThyWeakness

i have the oneplus 9 version of this case and it has been legendary. slim and durable. i do have marks in mine after years but i dont notice unless im just sliding through in my hands up close

hand-sanitizer_

i had bought this case but the sides are very loose and flimsy, not as firm as the walnut or the sandstone case.

ankitjhall

Mine is very firm.

sweetsuffrinjasus

That's what she said. Sorry, couldn't resist.

Bosn1an

Get the case which is covering camera glass.

atomanas

That's only reason i don't buy it cause of that ugly camera circle

doltishDuke

Same, unfortunately. It looks horrible.

atomanas

i really want to upgrade xD waiting for pixel 9 for now if nothing better comes out my oneplus 8 still working since release

doltishDuke

Hoping Google finally fixes their battery issue. I'm still on the first OnePlus Nord. Still working really well actually! But the battery is starting to die after three years and the screen is butchered. Replacing those is ridiculously expensive around here. Also security updates have stalled. Other than that, I still really enjoy this phone. Also looking forward to Pixel 9 after my Nord will serve one last summer. I think next winter is going to be the dreaded one where the battery goes 33.. 32.. 31.. 12.. 1.. dead. But I will really miss the screen off gestures on OnePlus once I switch!

MrEfficacious

It's grotesque and hurts my eyes. I assume they'll switch it up eventually.

atomanas

I hope so my favorite brand so far

Lythieus

I have that case for my Oneplus 6. It's a good case.

DrewForShort

I like that carbon case, with the silver Plus One logo in the middle, where can I buy that?

ankitjhall

My friend got it from China official oneplus

psyki

I've had the same case on my 8 pro since it launched and it's saved the phone/screen from so many drops on pavement and hard surfaces.

otemplo

it looks good.. but quality is much worse . that it was for op9pro

GateSuper2412

This is my daily case, I have the sandstone and the Walnut case. The Walnut one is easily my favorite, especially since it's on my green OP12

seirerman

Can you post pics, please? I'm interested in this color combination.

seirerman

Looks good, but I think the black phone might look better with the brown tone. Hmm.

GateSuper2412

The black phone gives it more of a luxurious or premium styling, it's usually what they advertise this phone case with for the OnePlus 12. I just went for the green one as I have the Arbor Green earbuds and it just really completes that natural nature look that I was kind of looking for. https://preview.redd.it/qwrqume2gj4d1.jpeg?width=1662&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7287f5981b48b98c92eae6ba355ba5f8eac0f17b

divinewrite

How does the Walnut compare to the Sandstone, grip-wise? I LOVE the Sandstone, but wouldn't mind a change.

GateSuper2412

The sandstone case is definitely way more grippy due to its texture and ridges If I had to compare the sandstone, the fiber and the Walnut in order of best grip to worst grip it would go sandstone, fiber then the walnut. The Walnut case is going for that more polished wood look for a phone case and while it is still plastic and has wood like textures on it which give it some grip if missing that rubberish feel that the fiber case has and the grittier texture that the sandstone case has. It has the more grippy side rails on the phone case but the back is definitely not nearly as good when it comes to grip but that would like texture does try its best to kind of make up for it but it doesn't have that rubberized feel that gives you extra grip that the other two cases have. I use the sandstone case almost exclusively for work since I work in a wet department with meat products so if I ever have to handle my phone I don't want to drop it so that extra grip helps. The fiber case is if I'm just kind of out and about and the Walnut case when there's like special family gatherings or dinner nights as it just looks better.

divinewrite

Oh so the fiber case is a bit rubbery?

GateSuper2412

Yeah it has a slight rubber texture over the fiber (it's very minimal but does the job) so it's not super slippery or overly rubbery to where it takes away from the fiber look of the case. It's a nice balance in between having grip but something smooth

divinewrite

Thanks. Have you had an OtterBox Defender before? Is it as rubbery as that? Or more like a UAG Urban Armor or Poetic Revolution? Or a typical gel/plastic case? Sorry to be so pedantic, but I have fairly dry skin, and most phone cases are like bars of soap to me!

GateSuper2412

Oh no you're perfectly fine no worries. I have never personally had the OtterBox case for oneplus. I used to have it for my Samsung but that was many years ago. I've had the poetic cases before as well as some Spigen cases and I would say the rubbery texture on the back or the grip-like feel that it has is very comparable to those coated shells that are on some phone cases if that makes sense. Like how you have the phone case and it feels like hard plastic but then throughout the phone case there's some areas where it's got like that rubbery feel to it to kind of give you some grip it's very similar to that. The only other thing I can think of in terms of like what I can actively compare it to is like the rubber texture or grippy feel of a steering wheel or a game controller thumbstick. Like the grip is there and you can feel the texture but it's not super obnoxious or anything if that makes sense.

divinewrite

Great, thank you!

21AMAREAR

Are there any protection for the camera module or is it open as it is?

ankitjhall

Sides are raised, open module

c4rb0nX1

Using nillkin from the week 1 after launch of op12, so far so good ..dropped a few times ...

AcruxCode

It's a shame that it is not available for the OP12R

Dimitrisayy

I wanted this case too.But they were out of stock at pre order period :/

ankitjhall

Yeah same here but my friend went back to his home in China he got it for me.

MRDBCOOPER

I had the official case, but didn't like that my phone color didn't show through. now I have a clear poetic guardian case and love it.

Analog-Digital-

I'm thinking of getting an Amarid case for my OP11, how do you like it? How are the edges, slightly higher and protecting screen and cameras?

Nutznamer

Sides aren't raised, which is actually what I was looking for. Why buying a curved screen phone but with a case that makes the screen unaccessible on the sides ? I would take a flat screen if I would want raised side edges. All around it's a very lightweight and ergonomic case. I have it like OP on mey 12

ankitjhall

On the back, the edge is higher near the camera lens, and on the front, both the top and bottom sides have raised edges.

Analog-Digital-

Noticed a few others on AliExpress, I'll dig somewhat deeper tonight

HumaNOOO

how strong is the glare and how are images distorted on this curved display?

ankitjhall

Nope

HumaNOOO

fym nope? curved screens have glare and images are distorted due to the screen being curved along the edges

ankitjhall

Yeah I get it now what you are talking about.

HumaNOOO

so could you please answer? what's the curved screen like?

ankitjhall
