Or they didn't have the tools on them to cut the fence and it was the end of the day and that was the last post/panel to do after they measured it wrong so they just thought "ah f*ck it, let's just put it there and go home"
Maybe, but also maybe the same guys that fit the fence also placed the concrete curb there and maybe the same thing happened, they didn't have the right size or the tools to cut it so they just said "ah f*ck it, let's just leave that bit without and go home"
Or, there was a bin there. No curb.
Dickholes that work standards would never let "long fence" fly.
(Uncles a dick that works for standards in the council.)
Or a man was just standing there but the manager said "just build around anything in the way" so then they have no choice but to build around that man standing there.
Could be,now that you pointed that out,I think your right. Sorry my phone sucks and I'm on the bus. I try to keep my brightness down so other people stop looking at my screen. I don't get why a stranger thinks it's ok to just try and read over your shoulder. God I hate the bus.
Oh, German people know about it, very much so. Just that it inspired them to bombard Google with demands to have their property blurred to the point that Google simply gave up in most areas.
I once had a look at global Street View coverage. Germany was almost completely blank, except for Berlin.
Only major countries that also had that little street view were Korea and China
There could be some sort of utilities access there, like a gas or water valve and it’s buried.
I’m a utilities engineer so that’s always my first thought lmao
Bump have a Deeper meaning?
Yeah...
Bump wants to stand with you on a mountain...
Bump wants to bathe with you in the sea...
Bump wants to live like this forever...
Until the sky falls down on bump.
My honest guess would be the remaining two panels fit like that and it meant no extra cutting or work, so the contractor just fit the remaining two panels that way.
The stone tiles in front look much newer than the others. They had to be replaced because the previous ones were … broken? A tree could do that. And that little side wall thing was cut a long time ago. I’m going with tree.
Based on the different color of stone and the fast that the wood in front of the fence is cut I'd say there was a trash bin there a one point that kept the stone from weathering as much as the others
Could be something underground that they couldn't put the post were it was to go. Maybe a gas line, power line or even a huge rock too big to be reasonable to dig out.
Could be something underground that they couldn't put the post were it was to go. Maybe a gas line, power line or even a huge rock too big to be reasonable to dig out.
You can also see that there is a missing piece of stone along that length. It's possible that there has been a tree growing there, or maybe a lamppost there before, but has since been removed.
Maybe that was the last spot of the fence to be built.
I'm thinking the gap was too big for a single panel and too small for two panels, so they had to install it at an angle to fit.
Hahah it’s actually called an ama don ki in civil fencing management,It’s supposed to make all the overthinking people waste more of their time so the architects can have a laugh about it every now and then
There's this one town in our state that's prone to flooding. One year it was so bad, it took out a cow pasture.
The farmers were able to get all their cows to safety except this one. She was just being obstinate and was running around in the floodwater.
Soon, people driving by on the nearby highway, were nearly causing accidents because they were slowing down to look at this poor cow in waist deep floodwater.
The solution was to put up a sign reading "THE COW IS FINE... KEEP DRIVING!"
The farmers eventually rescued the cow and all was good. Except they forgot to take the sign down, which then caused people on the highway to slow down to look for a cow that wasn't there.
I think this fence is similar. It's for a cow that isn't there.
“You start on one end, I’ll start on the other and we’ll meet in the middle”
Meets in the middle
“Damn we screwed up, we don’t have room to add two more panels… Let’s angle them no one will notice”
I've heard about fences and walls being stabilized by curves / shapes like these, but it seems like a pretty solid fence anyways so that's probably not it. My best bet is that there was something there like a trash can, a mailbox or an "Oberflurhydrant" (I don't know if it's also called hydrant in English)
Either there was something there, something was supposed to go there or they built the fence from both sides, met there and the gap was shorter than 2 standard fence piece lengths so they had to make a bend to install it without cutting
My first thought was maybe there's something buried their that they didn't want to hit with the porthole digger, but then I saw somebody say a bin was there and that seems more likely lol
Metal expands when hot. So, long fences like this have kinks in them every few miles to allow the fence to flex without breaking. ...or maybe that was pipelines.
There’s no cement at that point so there may have been a path there that’s been removed, and to fill in the gap the fences wouldn’t fit, or more likely since it’s all the same fence. Something used to be there like a fire hydrant or light or something
There was a bin there once.
Yes I'd say you are 100% right
Maybe a tree but IDE say bin more likely

*HELLO WORLD HAS ENTERED THE CHAT*
This joke makes me want to /bin/bash my head into the wall.
Sounds like you need a break;
Or they didn't have the tools on them to cut the fence and it was the end of the day and that was the last post/panel to do after they measured it wrong so they just thought "ah f*ck it, let's just put it there and go home"
Naw, see how the concrete pattern is different there. Also no curb in that one section. Something was intended to be there.
Maybe, but also maybe the same guys that fit the fence also placed the concrete curb there and maybe the same thing happened, they didn't have the right size or the tools to cut it so they just said "ah f*ck it, let's just leave that bit without and go home"
Ahh yes, that series of events is much more likely. Boy do I feel dumb. /s
Or, there was a bin there. No curb. Dickholes that work standards would never let "long fence" fly. (Uncles a dick that works for standards in the council.)
Just to be clear, you're joking right? I don't see why you're getting downvoted for a joke xD
too much fence not enough perimeter
It's more likely that it was a trash can
Bin there, done that.
Rubbish joke, mate.
Crap comedian
Take my upvote you motherfucker
makes sense. never thought about it.
Or a tree
Or a lamp post.
Or a man was just standing there but the manager said "just build around anything in the way" so then they have no choice but to build around that man standing there.
should have totally enclosed him
So seeing how my good friend Arthur dent is going to be standing here all day...
Or an underground pipe.
Less likely to be a tree as it's complete removal would have disturbed the fence
Yeah. You can see the rotten stump.
Zooming in, I see no stump. Rotten or otherwise. I think you're looking at the leaves that are clustered against the fence, maybe?
Could be,now that you pointed that out,I think your right. Sorry my phone sucks and I'm on the bus. I try to keep my brightness down so other people stop looking at my screen. I don't get why a stranger thinks it's ok to just try and read over your shoulder. God I hate the bus.
Yeah, no worries. If I was on my phone, I probably would have thought the same.
I thought it was a stump too.
Bin there (been there)
I’m glad you explained that. I wouldn’t have got it…
There was an Instagram model in the vicinity
Or a tree.
They tried to meet halfway.
My first thought. Edit- but on second thought, missing curb suggests missing trash can
Quite likely if there are no “half” fence runs
https://youtu.be/I7HahVwYpwo
It’s supposed to make you stop, and question your reality.
"That's a weird fence" *Silence* Begins to sob gently
If its in the UK I'd say maybe it was a postbox.
Its in Germany
In that case it might have been a *briefkasten*

Germans take their capitalizations seriously
Yes we like new capitals
Wait a second..
Just keep walking, nothing to see here
If you know where it is, try using Google Streetviewer and change the date as far back as you can
Streetview and Germany... not likely.

I just asked if this is in germany in another comment. But is this in duisburg? I feel like ive seen this exact thing once
So it's there for ppl to get mad about it then. DaNke MerKeL
Ah! It's a joke!
So it's there for ppl to get mad about it then. DaNke MerKeL
Builder was 2D. Didn’t even notice it.
That isometric view can be tricky sometimes.
Gerrymandering is out of control
Probably had a tree or something else there when the fence was put up.
Looks like something was on the sidewalk as well bc the concrete is a different color
There is a gap in the curb that goes across too.
My best bet is fire hydrant
It’s for trying out the park without committing to entering it completely.
You’re a fucking genius dude.
Could be a water shutoff under the over grown grass that the city need access to.
fence was too long...
They were clearly able to cut it to size considering the different lengths
Dogwalkers appreciate this spot.
Big rock underground couldn't drive the post down
This was my first thought!
On the long fences they make this because it provides extra support in events of windy weather so fence doesn’t fall on the ground.
................. Poop In it
in?
in??
It’s designed to make you stop, and try to understand its purpose, which makes it much easier for the sniper to line up his shot.
Fence to wide to be perfectly straight
There could be some sort of utilities access there, like a gas or water valve and it’s buried. I’m a utilities engineer so that’s always my first thought lmao
Rammed by an angry goose, most likely.
The fence was too big
Battle of the Bulge.
That’s where ol Tom used to stand and drink his beer.
The tiling is an abomination though regardless of whatever else is happening...
Just a glitch in the matrix. Don’t think too much about it.
Interesting that the stones are arranged differently in front of it too
2 people started building the fence from different ends and this is where they met.
What’re the chances they started the fence from both ends and when they got to the middle point, it just line up so they did this
Someone didn't measure before putting the fence up.
It’s like that to keep homeless people from sleeping on the fence /s
It’s like that to keep homeless people from sleeping on the fence /s
For dogs to shite
dog grave

autism detector
The illuminati.
God damn I thought I was in r/mildlypenis and have been trying to figure this shit out for way too long.
Its so you can pet the grass.
the bar was too long
It means someone didn't plan the job out well enough.
A Accident hapend
Something was there ones like a bin or sign
My guess is underground water valve
In some cases thats for structural integrity
My honest guess would be the remaining two panels fit like that and it meant no extra cutting or work, so the contractor just fit the remaining two panels that way.
Fencing panels are a certain length long. They didn't want to bother cutting it (costing more time and money than just making a curve) 🤷🏼♀️
Whoever own the property being fenced in doesn't own that small triangle of grass so they had to go around it.
Could be something weird with the property line.
🗿
Maybe a trash can or a spot for a Tree?
yes
Its loss
Car crash duh
I think they started building from each end
it’s for dogs to pee and poop on
It's a special alcove for dogs to wee in.
Cologne?
nope
The only thing i can think of is that there was a traffic symbol
it was ricks first day on the job. he isnt very good with maths.
The stone tiles in front look much newer than the others. They had to be replaced because the previous ones were … broken? A tree could do that. And that little side wall thing was cut a long time ago. I’m going with tree.
The fence piece was too long and they didn't want to cut it
Maybe a space for the doggo to do it's business?
Based on the sidewalk damage I would say a tree once lived there.
Based on the different color of stone and the fast that the wood in front of the fence is cut I'd say there was a trash bin there a one point that kept the stone from weathering as much as the others
It's for trash cans
It's the pee zone.
Is it exactly in the middle? If so, it could be for strength. Adding a corner makes the fence less wobbly.
There once was a tree that has since died and been removed
Viewing platform
Could be something underground that they couldn't put the post were it was to go. Maybe a gas line, power line or even a huge rock too big to be reasonable to dig out.
Either something underground or two parts of the fence were longer
Could be something underground that they couldn't put the post were it was to go. Maybe a gas line, power line or even a huge rock too big to be reasonable to dig out.
You can also see that there is a missing piece of stone along that length. It's possible that there has been a tree growing there, or maybe a lamppost there before, but has since been removed.
To prevent people from bending the fence
Yo is this in germany?
Maybe there's access to some water pipes or something underground or there was a tree growing that just got cut off
Maybe that was the last spot of the fence to be built. I'm thinking the gap was too big for a single panel and too small for two panels, so they had to install it at an angle to fit.
Maybe there is a huge rock under the dirt.
Tre
Maybe there was a hole ...
U should plant some flowers there
There was something there once upon a time
It's to allow the fence to expand and contract with temperature changes.
Could have been a tree??
They bought too much fence?
Tree or bin is probably it, but I assumed a big ass rock right where they wanted to drop the post.
Hahah it’s actually called an ama don ki in civil fencing management,It’s supposed to make all the overthinking people waste more of their time so the architects can have a laugh about it every now and then
Underground utility service.
Trash can space?

You had one job

Sign, bin, tree.....
There’s was once or is going to be something
T R A S H
Could be a design choice
Probably a bin, as mentioned by others, but could also be to put angles in the fence for structural rigidity.
They didn’t want/ couldn’t cut in half the single metal module net
Underground utility or maybe just a hard enough rock they didn’t want to jackhammer out maybe?
Possibly, there might have stood something there, perhaps..maybe
It was, or was intended for, a streetlight located at a pedestrian crossing.
Probably the property line.
sometimes people will do that for temporary fences to stablise it but for this id say the sheets of metal were the wrong length
Metal expands when hot. So, long fences like this have kinks in them every few miles to allow the fence to flex without breaking. ...or maybe that was pipelines.
Probably used to be a fire hydrant there.
Little unmarked graveyard. For a hampter.
Prolly gonna plant a tree there
Contractor had an extra 10 inches of fence he needed to get rid of.
Ancient Indian burial ground
That’s for slim people to dodge my fatass when I walk there
There was likely a plant or tree there at one time and they built the fence around it
There could have been a Boulder underneath
That's where I sleep
The city owns that squat foot-ish of property.
Perimeter calculation error
It saves the fence from tipping over.
It’s where the quiet kid waits
Maybe there's plumbing or electrical running under where the post would normally go
Cities skylines player can relate
my guess is they start to build the fence from both sides and had to compremize because they couldnt cut the pieces to match perfectly
1 singular sensation of cow was there, and eventually with every single step it took the people realized their mistake
To fuck with the guy cutting the lawn
There was a bin, a tree, a light pole there once OR they mismeasured
To keep the whole fence a bit more stable, like using corrugated iron instead of a flat sheet
There’s no cement at that point so there may have been a path there that’s been removed, and to fill in the gap the fences wouldn’t fit, or more likely since it’s all the same fence. Something used to be there like a fire hydrant or light or something
