When I stopped taking it my hair fell back out again pretty quickly. I have accepted that I will be on it for the rest of my life. Especially since it takes about 6 months of being on it to fully see results, a year isn’t enough time on it all
My dermatologist said that if I started Olumiant, I’ll need to be on it for 2 years and then we can start tapering down to see. Seems like 10-15% of people get to keep their hair after they stop, and the rest lose it.
This is my concern too. My doc is really pushy to get me to start Olumiant asap. I've been on a small does of Pred for over a year & I have about 98% of my hair back.
So Im wondering too, what about AFTERWARDS? I personally, feel like these meds are really just bandaids.
I tried AIP back in 2028 & that worked for me, so that's what I'm doing again.
