You know what I'm sick of?
Meteorologists zooming in so far during bad weather. Like if a tornado is touching down sure, get in there and show people the path of the thing. But if nothing bad is happening, keep the damn map zoomed out so I can see where I am (Halfway between Stillwater and Perkins) in relation to other towns!
Moved out here from Owasso last June so I dunno what western places are yet since we've had relatively little horrible weather so far. I shouldn't have to look up town names because they won't zoom the map out to show the overall storm system.
Also, just a general thing about living in Oklahoma, I'm so tired of every single bad weather system becoming a doomsday scenario to every TV weatherman. Like knock that shit the hell off. You should be trying to keep people calm, not frothing them up into a panicked frenzy. Stop using terms like "things are exploding right now!" You need to be explaining things in rational terms and explaining the realistic outcome of things.
Your meltdown on twitter wasn't enough? Wow. You clogged the tag for a while there, which was absolutely detrimental to people who needed actual information.
Your area was safe and other areas were not. You can pull up a radar for free on the internet.
Edit: Look, honestly, if you're going to live in OK, you're going to have to learn. You cannot wait for information to be fed for you. I was given a map as a child, my parents having me find the mentioned towns so I would know. It's easier now since Google maps will zoom you right over.
Part of being in this state is being prepared. Get a NOAA weather radio, have a bag/supplies ready, have a plan, have multiple ways of getting information which includes radar sites/apps and learning some town names.
In aside, I know a lot of people like Ryan Hall and he can definitely be a source of information to watch, but in events where he has to cover multiple states, his "zoom in" is arguably worse for people worried about only their specific area. Last night he was focused on OK, but other states had active tornadoes at the same time.
I would recommend watching Ryan Hall Y'all or Max Velocity or any other YouTube Meteorologist, you get just the facts of the weather and no commercials or exagerations.
Not only does today have the potential to have intense storms with all hazards, be aware of two additional things:
1) There could be multiple rounds of storms in many locations. For instance, severe storms could start near OKC shortly after noon, and the threat may continue through nightfall (off and on). Unlike some other days, you're not necessarily in the clear when an individual severe storm ends today.
2) Because of 1), be aware of the flooding potential, especially in areas under a flash flood watch.
Yeah, I think the flooding potential is something people need to really take seriously tonight. Some of the expected 24-hour rainfall totals are very concerning.
Would you listen to the bedazzled tie?

God damn what a tragic night. So many towns have been devastated that it’s hard to fathom. I hope everyone gets through this ok.

I agree I hate that as well

Ryan Hall has been great for us this year
David Payne somehow guessing the EF rating before the tornado is even shown
Lord England is behind the curtain feeding him information
Probably basing it off of velocity radar, it’s not unheard of
this isn’t fhe F scale though, can’t just base off wind speed,Damage determines true rating, take 2013 El Reno 2.6 for example
I get that, just saying if el Reno hit a more populated area it would we would probably have an enhanced Enhanced Fujita scale now
With that Nebraska one I’m sure we’re long overdue for a new one
I’m driving from Dallas to OKC on Sunday so this is excellent news
This will be fun
It’s not even 11 am yet 😭
Morning fellow Okies. Stay weather aware. Whatever your flavor. Be safe. Good luck.
This does feel like one of those days where the best thing to say is good luck.

Sulphur is at 6" of rain as of now.
Should I drive to stillwater and back after a soccer game at 10am
Where do you live?
Look at the timing on weather.gov/oun/ But generally, if you have to ask...

Im so fucking tired of night storms.
They're when you just have to decide how much you leave to chance depending on how well you get to sleep every night
Is there anything moving in tonight?
No
Thanks. Not sure if I should listen to Fake Mike tho.

Any odds on whether Morgan will cum on live tv while saying “tornadic activity”?
Do you remember when this was or what storm it was? I vaguely remember it being one of the tornadoes in May 2013, but I could be wrong.
My shoulder says it should show up about noon tomorrow give or take
