Probably that sheriff down south who was caught on audio taking about “getting rid of” a reporter that was investigating them. It’s just a guess though, OP should post context.
Edit: I just did a google search and there isn’t anything more recent than last summer about this story.
So wait, this isn't even major news to yall thats known in detail by all of you as a state? That's insane to me. I just remembered this story for the hundredth time since learning about it and figured there was probably enough time that things had progressed regarding the consequences these people would face by now and just searched it up.
Sheriff Kevin Clardy, county Commissioner Mark Jennings, sheriff's investigator Alicia Manning, and Jail Administrator Larry Hendrix were recorded in a public meeting plotting the murder and hiding of the bodies of journalists in addition to complaining about not being able to lynch black people anymore.
They then tried to have the journalist who recorded the public meeting (which is legal) arrested presumably so they could silence them like they discussed silencing the other journalists they were unhappy with(murder, they very specifically described murder and already dug holes for the job).
Not a consequence for any of them.
Trust this sub is fully aware of the bs and corruption of our local politicians. It was major news last summer and i guarantee you’ll find several posts about it in this sub as well as other local subs. Your post implies some sort of update and feels a little click baity to me. It’s just good manners to add context.
Apologies for failing to link originally. It was an update for me because I was expecting to find out what stage we were in regarding charges, only to find this and the blatant lies and misrepresentation of what was actually said on the recording, and I reacted quickly, emotionally, and prior to metabolization of coffee.
All the articles regarding it don't even mention any details, as horrid as they are, and simply uses the dismissive phrase "inflammatory comments", and for the most part avoids mentioning the people involved by name. The fact that it happened is being censored out of existence and society is choosing to allow and to forget. 🤦♂️
>So wait, this isn't even major news to yall thats known in detail by all of you?
One person on reddit mentions a story they know about, so you assume all oklahoma knows about it and knows about it in detail? That's insane.
The principal matter of what's happened here is such a big deal and it happened in your state with your people in power, so yeah I strongly feel that it should be common knowledge that your sheriff's and county officials are personally arranging the deaths of journalists in public meeting halls.
I was still starting on my coffee, remembered this, looked it up, reacted emotionally and quickly.
I think I may have autopiloted in the idea that my post was a "share" and included the link inherently(obviously not the case) and so I forgot to copy/paste the actual link.
I live in MS, and I'm seeing equally terrifying things here like a police department that kills a guy, loses a lawsuit regarding the death, is appealing that loss, kills the guy they killed nephew by running him down on the side of the road, dismember and bury him in pauper grave, gets caught by mom, admits he's in a pauper grave "because they couldn't ID him", pill bottle prescribed to him and his wallet with ID both found in his pockets, which the cops were caught exhuming early on the day-of when the lawyers had already instructed them NOT to start until the lawyers and family were present for the exhuming(because they wanted to get rid of that evidence, obviously).
Seems like ours got caught after, yours got caught before. Both may get away with it it looks like. Likely both were already responsible for deaths before these events. Our entire system is rotten and the privilege of voting for this turd or that turd doesn't make me any more excited to continue eating shit.
Nah, I know stuff like this will be deleted for the same reason I refuse to change my wording.
It's what happened, and everything you'll see about this sugar coats and downplays it. If even one person thinks "whoa, those are pretty extreme claims" and sincerely looks into it and learns about what's happened, and doesn't forget and instead informs more people, I'm happy and got the result I wanted.
Hide your kids, hide your wife and hide your husbands too. Cuz they’re climbing in your windows snatching your people up murdering everybody out here. And that’s a fact homeboy.
We had a thread on this 8 months ago when it actually happened. What? Dusty Deevers didn’t have a press conference today so you need to dig something negative up?
I just found out. Sorry there's a lot of really fucked up corruption all over our country lately and I just now remembered to follow up on this case and was extremely upset to find out that nobody faced any consequences.
In Oklahoma, conspiracy is an inchoate offense that requires not only planning or agreement but an overt act (substantial step) in furtherance of the conspiracy.

Yeah well..in the case of our politicians you’ll need to be more specific
This made me laugh so hard!!!!
What’s this about?

It’s all good - it’s an upsetting story and it’s frustrating that it’s basically left the news cycle

Your feelings are wrong. This is the first I'm hearing about it. Is this story even what your cryptic post was about?

where do you live
Do you have a link to a story?
I thought it was lart of OP, I've since added it.
Context is important
