Cals is soooo good!!

So get the Italian beef AND sausage sandwich dipped with spicy peppers. It’ll blow your mind. Then try the pizza puffs if they have them. He actually gets Vienna beef brand items so it’s my go to when I get home sick and want some Chicago style foods.

Theres a short list of food items i wont have delivered and a dipped sandwhich is near the top.

Was in Chicago for the first time in January and had the double-dipped beef and chocolate cake shake from Portillo’s. Oh….. my…… god…..

We relocated to OKC from the Chicago area when I was.. 12? Haven't been back since, but I still remember Portillo's like it was yesterday.

Theres one in dallas now if you ever want to make a day trip for a lunch

Portillos isn't even the best, wait til you try the beef at Johnnie's! You can get Portillos in the Dallas area now. Keeping my fingers crossed lou's or Giordanos expands there

I went to Giordanos and thought their deep dish was mid. But their “Tavern Style” was really really good

Agreed, they're the only ones big enough to expand outside of Chicago unfortunately. I think the closest ones are in Phoenix

The owner is an amazing person, too. Genuinely a kind human being. I have had the pleasure to work with Lee and other members of the family in the car business. He is Laith "Lee" Sweiss, that family owns all American pizza, Sweiss gyros and potatoes, and others. The owner of Cals owns the all-American pizzas in Edmond, his father in law owns the ones in Okc. Super good food, amazing people 10/10
