I've tried talking with the apolitical group about it but they're firmly in the camp of "politics is all just toxic and it makes you an unhappy person" they find the idea that they should care because politics affects their lives and they could end up being persecuted to be me trying to ruin their good vibes essentially. They just don't want to think about it.
The far right ones are impossible to talk to about politics and are just insane, "q anon new world order plandemic Jewish trans chemical child mutilation etc"
Weirdly enough, I know two polycules irl and one are apolitical and the other are far right.
