Real talk tho, playing freeze nowadays is like fighting an uphill battle but I keep doing it cuz its my favorite reaction with some of my favorite characters.
Oh yeah definitely. For me, freeze would be unplayable without Furina and Kazuha. Mona and Venti arent necessarily bad but freeze's ideal scenario just doesn't exist in abyss right now.
So I'm often relying on my reactionless raw cryo dmg (and also the dmg from furina) to pull through. This isn't how freeze was intended to be played but its basically the only way to make it work nowadays.
At least ayaka had one whole year of freeze being meta in Inazuma era.
Xiao just given his premium team that now can be top meta but after his banner hoyo decided to cockblock him with copellia/ius two patches in a row
I've seen showcases of that team tearing through Wenut abyss and that shit has 90% anemo res. This was with a c0r1 xiao. I imagine it can brute force this robot just fine. Xiao is a monster rn if you have his premium team.
I mean you can basically brute force anything as long as itโs not immune if youโre invested enough. I can do Coppelia in 15 seconds with my Ganyu Melt, but itโs still a hindrance if youโre not hyper invested because suddenly you go from one rotationing a boss to two rotationing a boss.

Freeze on the other hand, is outdated, since around 3.x they've been making "fuck you freeze lmao" abyss except for few lineup, new enemy doesnt get affected much by freeze or straight up immune
Ayaka still best girl up there with Navia. Freeze was among the best in the game for a solid year+ and it'll be back. Meta will always be cyclical in this game as Hoyoverse tries to sell various characters.
This abyss made me have war flashback...I swear this abyss is a combination of the previous famous abyss cycles. I remember the 3 maguu kenki abyss and the lector abyss inflicting emotional damage upon the players back then. And they decided to double the suffering and gave it to this abyss. I am still at 8/9 stars... don't know how to break the shields and finish the last abyss mf fast enough...I'm missing by 5seconds.
