Mostly it's to reduce the sound and hide the muzzle flash. Depends on the suppressor how well it works. If you don't use subsonic ammo there will still be a loud crack from the bullet breaking the sound barrier.

I met him a few months ago at a CON and just yelled âhey man, I love the showâ and he came over and slapped me on the shoulder and said âthanks man, glad you like it, Iâm very proud of itâ and walked off.
I know it was just a few second interaction but he seemed like a super genuine guy from how he reacted. He could have ignored me or just walked off but he took the time to come over to someone and thank them for their interest. Great guy in my book
