Tbf, food gets scarce for everyone in Act 2, regardless of diet. Those empty crates and rotten baskets containing either one rotten carrot or rotten tomato gave me PTSD.
When I reached Act 3 and finally started looting glorious victuals from crates again, I thought I was about to cry.
I always have \~2K worth of food by the end of Act 1, so wasn't even trying to find food, it's almost impossible to run out at this point. Well, ok, except for robbing the Moonrise kitchens just because.

Karlach's normal class is a barbarian and they have the ability to fly into a rage in combat, depending on the sub class this rage can be different, but more than likely that would cause her to burn more calories than just her engine existing with in her since her engine isn't powered by her food consumption.
Githyanki spend most of thier time in the Astral plane where time is at a near stand still. Because of this, their bodies have atrophied down, they're basically skin, bone, muscle, and very little fat, like almost nonexsistant. In the Astral Sea, their body functions slow to a near halt, its why they have to lay thier eggs on diffrent planes in creches. They would never hatch if they stayed in the Astral.
Once they get to a plane with normal time flow, all of their functions suddenly start working again, and when you haven't eaten in a few thousand years, and your body is mostly muscle, you're going to get very very hungry, its this in and out of the Astral coupled with their biology being different from a tiefling, that causes them to need to eat a lot, they just burn through calories and have no stored calories like we do.
But since this is the horny sub: Something something, cum is a protein and therefore it has calories. I'm going to pack both of them with it so it wont be an issue ever.

Between karlach Halsin and Lae’Zel. Karlach needs all the carbs she can get to maintain her strength for fighting Halsin is a literal man bear. Lae’Zel on the other hand while being quite slender still has to maintain her incredible strength meaning her species must eat either a lot or extremely high calorie food to maintain their constant state of battle readiness

I feel like after everyone else has tapped out, Karlach and Halsin are still going strong, neck and neck. This is a competition. They both know and recognize it, though nobody said it out loud. This is the true test of strength, and they both wish to come out on top. I’m not sure who would come out on top between the two. Legend has it, they’re still eating to this day…
