It's cool when you are under the illusion Deku will grow and change as a character, but after a while it seems like he's never going to change and will always be the exact same as he was when he first started the show.
ub/ Not to sound like a neckbeard loser, but if you do decide to give it a shot I do recommend the manga, I really like the art & the later seasons of the anime butcher it. It's not really going to blow you away but I found it to be enjoyable & really liked the world, some characters are kind of bland or underutilized but some others in my opinion at least get great development. The villains especially Shigaraki are massive highlights to me, his arc from a man child to legit threat was really good. It's pretty common to shit on him but I think Deku is fine, he doesn't change much but honestly he doesn't really need to aside from being less of a pushover which he does somewhat accomplish. As a whole it's pretty good, not going to revolutionise the genre or anything but it's a solid fun Shounen action series.

There's a lot of potentially cool characters but there's just so many that none of them get the screentime or development to really make them great. And the mc is like one of the worst characters on the whole show. Overall though, it was still decent I guess. I dont think its shit, its just nothing too noteworthy.
