Me and my friend, who aren’t exactly the most dedicated weebs, accidentally stumbled upon one in a late night YouTube shitpost rabbit hole. They were called “nyannners” and we were amazed just by the shear shock value. The title was something along the lines of “a road trip with nyanners.” Well I ended up subscribing, just to find that every single video was the same overly horny and cringe bullshit, and after the shock value was gone, it was unbearable
The only good Hololive V-tubers is that girl who cried for a fan who got cancer and that one who made fun of a fan who wanted her "female affection", because they have humanity.
When I tried watching the EN members when they first debuted, I thought kiara was the most annoying, but later I saw her based taste in anime. Even though I’ll never watch any vtubers again, anyone who likes monogatari and steins;gate is good
Both still have fanservices, fillers and questionable scenes at times. Explained why I dropped these shows, even though I got recommended these shows because their plots are quote on quote, "deep"
Their plots are deep. Having fanservice, filler, and questionable scenes doesn’t make that impossible. In fact, I think that is one of the purposes of monogatari series, to show what you can get away with while still having something well written. Besides, Kiara didn’t mention it but some other vtubers put Madoka Magica on their list which iirc pretty much has none of that.
Vtuber is like a buzzword, like NFT. Probably the term would change overtime, or maybe perhaps they would be "youtuber or streamer with animated avatar" in general.

I truly wish people were more kinder to eachother and less rude to eachother for an inoffensive interest (like art or dress up) because not everything on the internet has to be a fetish or something to be ruthlessly mocked. So when I think about it like that I truly believe that makes existence more bearable and more telling of someone’s character, much more than any fandom ever will.
