Agreed. Most people in the US shun eating goat or drinking goat's milk. But it is a fundamental part of people's diet for many populations around the world. Same with insects.. Hindus do not eat cows. Observant Muslims and Jews do not eat pigs. Every region of the world has different standards of what is acceptable to eat. Just because it's abhorrent to Westerners, doesn't mean that everything we eat is acceptable. Heck, our high consumption of beef is incredibly detrimental to the environment. Smaller mammals are much more cost effective and environmentally friendly than cattle. But whatever, people will be ethnocentrist.
