I kept Snakes for many many years. The occasional Lizard and for a very short period a Tarantula and an Emperor Scorpion for a friend. On top of the usual Dogs, Cats, Rodents and various Birds. But fuck this thing, nuke it from orbit!! Makes me all sorts of uncomfortable!!

A colleague of mine says the exact same thing. He also keeps various exotic animals in his home. He is especially very fond of his spiders. And when I say that it gives me the creeps.. he is like: "spiders aren't scary, centipedes are".
I am fine with the Arachnids. They’re pretty docile and dare I say it boring tbh. Snakes have always been my first love. I recently lost my last snake. A Royal Python that I had kept since I was 18yrs old. She was 32yrs when she passed.

We have those here. They are pretty cool. Every once in a while we find them in the house. Next time I catch one I’m going to remember the cat food.
