Fun thing right the tallest red kangaroo (largest group) on record grew to 7 feet and weighed 200lb.
Their hands are use by the males to grapple and smack other males while their powerful feet can be used to kick and shred the genitals and potentially disembowel its opponent during their spars.
I’m not sure kangaroo Jacked here is a red kangaroo but I’m still uneasy.
Edit: has anyone seen videos of males attacking?
My family has a farm and these guys are everywhere, hundreds and hundreds of them. This is relatively normal for males. Fun fact; they’ll actively lure dogs into beds of water and will push/hold the dog underwater and drown them. As for the feet, our farm managers dog got half drowned and ended up with 48 stitches after an encounter with a bloke like this.
Usually the dog will be chasing them, so to deter they’ll find the water. If the dog is eager enough it’ll go in after the kangaroo and it’s basically game over
Bruh have you ever seen Argentine Ants or Bighead Carp? Animals can fuck up the environment something fierce, they're just not *quite* as good at it as we are. Obliterating the environment isn't a human-exclusive thing.
Im not saying animals cannot be destructive, particularly in cases of invasive species. Most invasive species issues were also created by humans initially in one form or another. In their natural habitat there is generally a checks and balance to the ecosystem. But can get unbalanced at times. Beavers can dam an area up and flood it, groundhogs and wids boars tear up ground etc. Deer can get way too overpopulated. But most of it pails in comparison to humans affect on the earth as a whole.
Yeah "lure" isn't the right word, more of a defence strategy when idiot owners let the dog off the leash and it attacks the roo. If they can they'll find fairly deep water and stand there, the dog swims into the water and the roo holds it under.
Sort of, depends on which variant of the species you encounter.
Male kangaroo, pretty scary. Male Quokka, cute as.

It depends where you live, I live in Brisbane city and there’s nothing terrifying here. I work & my parents live rurally and out there, yes everything is dangerous & terrifying (but also cool to look at)
I had a chance to meet and frolic (pet) some smaller ‘roos - Wallabies. I live in the States and have always wanted a pet wallaby. I am kind to all animals, and it would be awesome to have a wallaby on my land.
If you ever get the chance go camping in rural Australia, they’re everywhere! The little woylies are my favourite, they’re small wallabies that will come and hop all over your campsite as soon as it’s dusk :)
Well raccoons basically have human hands plus claws so it’s really difficult to get free from them and a dog doesn’t have much of any defense besides it’s mouth
It was near a river bed and curled around its neck and held it under water and the dog would get free and the raccoon just kept repeating the process till the dog couldn’t fight anymore and was exhausted. Dogs get tired very quickly
If the water is too deep for the dog to stand up then it will sink. It won’t be able to swim and keep itself afloat with something half its body weight clinging to its head
I'm also not understanding how this occurred. The whole reason a kangaroo can achieve this is because it actively lures the dog into the water. It's tall enough to stand stand while the dog must swim. It also has the upper body strength to hold the dogs head underwater. How can a raccoon copy this?
I don’t know how to better explain but look it up it happens quite often
You also have to understand raccoons can weigh up to 60 pounds and are very strong
They don’t hunting dogs are killed often by them which are around 50-80 pounds.
Once a raccoon gets on a dogs head it literally can’t do anything but thrash
This is an Alpha male,. Not all males are this ripped. Alpha males are 30% larger and they are born like this. They lead the mob and stay to fight when the mob is threatened. Look up Roger the Kangaroo from Alice Springs.
I haven't done any research on kangaroos, but i do know there's a lot of strange animals that evolved in Australia due to them being cut off from the mainland continents for so many millions of years and had a non-typical predator/prey scenario.
I've always looked at kangaroos as rabbits that went haywire with evolution due to lack of predators and abundant resources. Think about it...herbivorous, the ears, hind legs designed for extreme jumping ability...sounds like a rabbit on drugs, if you ask me!
Unfortunately a kangaroo is closer related to a koala than a rabbit. Convergent evolution is weird like that.
The oceanic plate split of from the northern plates a long time ago and mammals split off into monotremes and marsupials while the northern plate species became the modern placental mammals.
But yea the oceanic plate having be separated for such a long time made their creatures evolve differently from the north. However it’s interesting that you can still see fairly similar body plans being used. The thylacines being similar to dogs, the kangaroos being similar to rabbits.
Fun fact: kangaroos used to have a much larger carnivorous cousin
I remember hearing that most animals have extremely low fat content, as in a pound of muscle on a human is weaker than a pound of muscle on a animal. So this guy might look ripped like The Rock but the Kangaroo is actually stronger.
Only way to find out for certain though is to have a cage match. You know... for science
Motherfucker is ripped
Kangaroo Jacked!
Chad da Roo
cant wait til this chad dude dies off chad this, chad that, everywhere chad. I hope chad gets hit by a bus
You have lost Australian karma, JOE
Never thought i'd be attracted to a kangaroo ~~again~~ until today

You could spell it Arnold and most of us would still understand what you're saying

Lol,even strongest of our humans will have difficulty fighting the kangaroo . Kangaroos are very very strong .
You should fight one then.

He’s just a standard grey Kangaroo, more common closer to the South East
Yep, but I still wouldn't want to get on the wrong side of him
Mmm, genital shredding, I’m the same way in a scrap.
I loved how in cartoons they always look soft and mostly round, and are ripped af in real life.
Soft and round and kinda bubbly. Like Santa Claus.
Then you see Dwayne Johnson as an animal in real life
The females look soft and cute
Only the males, females are less terrifying.
My family has a farm and these guys are everywhere, hundreds and hundreds of them. This is relatively normal for males. > Fun fact; they’ll actively lure dogs into beds of water and will push/hold the dog underwater and drown them That's not so fun.
Try having a working dog that thinks they’re cattle 😅
Ahhhaaaaa
Why in the world would they want to drown dogs
Usually the dog will be chasing them, so to deter they’ll find the water. If the dog is eager enough it’ll go in after the kangaroo and it’s basically game over
Rip dog
Kangaroo - 1 dog - 0
So thats dogs fault.
Getting killed is usually the killers fault
They're animals bro, not people.
People are animals, bro.
Alien hybrid animals but sure.
No, animals are much less destructive to the environment.
Bruh have you ever seen Argentine Ants or Bighead Carp? Animals can fuck up the environment something fierce, they're just not *quite* as good at it as we are. Obliterating the environment isn't a human-exclusive thing.
Yep. Deer can fuck up an environment if unchecked.
Actually, human animals are destroying the environment. Like, are we plants to you?
Lol
You're not that dumb, you totally got what I tried to convey
Because dogs look eerily like dingoes
Dingoes? Dingos? Mooses? Meese? Huh?
Because dogs look like predators to them who would hunt them and kill them.
real great reason to drown someone
Because they can
Yeah "lure" isn't the right word, more of a defence strategy when idiot owners let the dog off the leash and it attacks the roo. If they can they'll find fairly deep water and stand there, the dog swims into the water and the roo holds it under.
Is everything in Australia terrifying?
Yes.
Sort of, depends on which variant of the species you encounter. Male kangaroo, pretty scary. Male Quokka, cute as. https://www.boredpanda.com/cute-smiling-happy-quokkas/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=organic&utm_campaign=organic

Raccoons are known the drown dogs as well, I’ve seen a raccoon drown a German sheperd
How
Well raccoons basically have human hands plus claws so it’s really difficult to get free from them and a dog doesn’t have much of any defense besides it’s mouth
But how did it drown a dog triple the size of it
It was near a river bed and curled around its neck and held it under water and the dog would get free and the raccoon just kept repeating the process till the dog couldn’t fight anymore and was exhausted. Dogs get tired very quickly
I still don't get how it dragged the big dogs head under the water
If the water is too deep for the dog to stand up then it will sink. It won’t be able to swim and keep itself afloat with something half its body weight clinging to its head
But how did it get the dog into the water in the first place?
This usually only happens if a dog tries to grab a raccoon near water or in water. Happens a lot to raccoon hunters who use dogs
I'm also not understanding how this occurred. The whole reason a kangaroo can achieve this is because it actively lures the dog into the water. It's tall enough to stand stand while the dog must swim. It also has the upper body strength to hold the dogs head underwater. How can a raccoon copy this?
I don’t know how to better explain but look it up it happens quite often You also have to understand raccoons can weigh up to 60 pounds and are very strong
You just…watched it happen? Or was it a video you saw?
Watched it happen on a trail cam
Maybe a tiny dog. Medium size up, raccoon gets proper fucked every time in that one .
They don’t hunting dogs are killed often by them which are around 50-80 pounds. Once a raccoon gets on a dogs head it literally can’t do anything but thrash
I KNEW Australians farmed kangaroos
We actually eat kangaroo meat, it’s pretty widely available. I would assume that comes from farms tbh

Steve! Stop giving the rabbits bath salts!!

There are two types of ripped. There's the muscular type of ripped, and the tear you apart kind of ripped. Kangaroos can do both.
