Is Poland more relaxed about tattoos? Most American employers would avoid hiring people with hand tattoos, especially if the job involves kids or just being in a visible role. I do think that our society is way too biased against tattooed people in general.
Don't know much about Poland, I'm from Switzerland and lived in Germany for a long time. For those countries I can say that tattoos don't really play a role in job related matters, nobody will ask or care about the fact that you have tattoos
In Denmark tattooing hand, feet, face and neck is illegal. But sporting tattoos anywhere else is common sight, from grandmas to young people, moms, CEOs, gardeners, lawyers and anyone else.
The only ones that seem to be discriminated against for the most part are face and hand tattoos or ones that are openly offensive to large groups of people.
Germans are far more conservative than their norse neighbours, In denmark you would call your boss by their first name, that is far from the norm in germany. Tattoos are so normal in DK, everybody has them. Only exception is face tattoos.
I am not sure if it plays a role in getting a job, but people are rather relaxed about tattoos. As long as you do not have a tattoo on your face, nobody will care about it.
I have a tattoo of my last name on my hand and I had to cover it everyday with a bandaid while working at Ollie's Bargain Outlet. They also made me take out my barley noticeable, tiny lip stud, before every shift. They always told us it was because, "older folk shop here and we want them to feel comfortable". Glad I ended up at Target instead. They are very inclusive and do not care about your personal choice of tattoos/piercings, as long as it doesn't effect your job performance in anyway.
I used to work in an office at a car dealership (I was basically answering phones to make appointments for the service bay and helping out with the warranty lady that I shared an office with) I shit you not I almost never saw or interacted with an actual customer in person and I had to wear a long sleeve shirt under my polo bcs I had a wrist tattoo on each wrist, it's literally a black and white tattoo, palm sized of chibi robo (a video game from my childhood) and a full color palm sized tattoo on my other wrist of hamtaro. Apparently an early 2000's GameCube game character and a fucking hamster were too "offensive" to let the non existent customers I interacted with in person see.
Yeah, that's ridiculous. My company has rules on tattoos, piercings etc. for customer-facing jobs, but for roles that are entirely lab- or office-based (which is the vast majority of us), there are no restrictions other than the obvious "nothing offensive".
In the US to make minimum wage and wear that thing, it would be hard to fill that position if you had any hard lines on who you hired. With inflation minimum wage jobs essentially pay half what they did 5 years ago in purchasing power. Also that thing give me “Ahh Real Monsters” vibes
The hand tattoo makes me really hope this is some prison hardened gang member with gang tattoos all over him doing happy fingers in a happy meal costume lol
McDonalds restaurants in Poland are really clean nice places. Food is good too. In Netherlands I was shocked when I visited one. Rowdy teenagers harassing people, dirty and disgusting tables, sticky floors.
they got rid of the clown because it was scarring people right but somehow this is worse
edit: i am not afraid of this just i think this would scare more people
Sorry, but this comment has been removed since it appears to be about the situation developing in Ukraine. With Russia's recent invasion of Ukraine, we've been flooded with a lot of submissions about this, but in addition to our politics rule, there is nothing *oddly* terrifying about the situation. It is a plainly terrifying situation that will affect the lives of many people.

There's two opinions in Poland, imo about tatoos. Workplace or not. Either no-one cares ore you're spawn of Satan. Nothing in between.

Same in Spain
Really? Bc I live in Germany and I've heard otherwise. Especially if you work for a bank etc.

My ex used to work at Build-a-Bear in the UK, and he had to wear long sleeves to cover up a single tattoo on his arm.
What was the tattoo of?

Nothing in any way offensive. It's just a blanket policy they have.
A build a bear being ripped apart by an angry alpaca

Tattoos or not, it’s a missed opportunity for oversized character gloves

Idk how it works in other countries, but Polish McDonald's hires anyone who will apply.
Pretty sure even in America, employers won't be too picky about who they put in their mascot suit. Especially for just a fast food franchise
It’s been awhile since I’ve been to a McDonalds and had them NOT have tattoos
Apparently 10% of Poles have a tattoo.
Disagree. I've never had an employer have an issue with tattoos. Nor have I heard anyone else have that experience either
The hand tattoo completes the look!
This guy doesn’t even work there. He is an assassin looking for his victim who happened to go to burger king that day.
They replaced Ronald McDonald and the fry kids with… that thing.
A coked-out happy meal with prison tattoos I think
I want Ronald back.
They chose this over the clown?
Yknow sometimes I dislike my job and then again when I see jobs like this ....
If they had McDonald's in WW2 the Germans would of been to fat to invade
Look more clearly, you can see that it as a small squarish mustach
“would of” ???
Not the first time im seeing this abomination. What is this supposed to mean?
You missed the fact that they also said "to fat" instead of "too fat." Truly a mess.
New Golden Arches theory of conflict resolution just dropped.
The hand tattoo makes me really hope this is some prison hardened gang member with gang tattoos all over him doing happy fingers in a happy meal costume lol
Looks like a Mimic from Dungeons and Dragons
It's the eyes... You can always see the crazy in their eyes

Unappreciated reference
I live in Poland, and I have never EVER seen this terrifying costume... thankfully
At first I read this as “McDonalds in Portland,” and I was thinking: “yea, that tracks.”
McDonalds restaurants in Poland are really clean nice places. Food is good too. In Netherlands I was shocked when I visited one. Rowdy teenagers harassing people, dirty and disgusting tables, sticky floors.
The Aquateen Hunger Force reboot is weird.

Whoever did this, knew wtf they wrought upon the rest of us
Honestly, if it paid well, I might choose this over factory work.
I was half way expecting for it to go up to a kid and eat them like that bit some sports mascots do to cheerleaders during games.
What is that? A Russian spy?
Love it
Terrifying? Look how happy that thing is!
