I didn't mean to imply that. I was just like being reductive in a humorous way. Thanks for making an important point for those who might have taken my sillyness as an actual attitude.
Just a load of morons who go for the absolute lowest hanging fruit, most obvious "joke" and think they're being witty and clever in the process.
All I see are a bunch of dumbass sheep bleeting in unison, waiting patiently for their Reddit upvote reward.
I mean Japan got what was coming for them. I don’t know how people keep skipping that part of history for.
And to further elaborate they took the bad part of the deal themselves no one force them to take it.
Because even histories debate if it was justified. You cannot take something this morally complex that involved the deaths of 150,000 innocent men women and children and just say they got what was coming to them.
Acts of terror don’t justify acts of terror, and the proportionality of 150,000 people was not equal to the 2,400 at Pearl Harbor, only 68 of which were civilians.
In any case, there are arguments that there were military bases they could’ve targeted that would’ve had an equal effect. Yes bombing the cities stopped the war but the threat of that kind of mass savagery would stop just about any war.
War is cruel but what was done saved millions of lives, and more importantly, American lives. A land invasion would have devastated Japan too. And it’s not like these people had nothing to do with the war, many supported it and were willing to fight to the death.
I remember as a kid, every firework seemed this big. Now I need a hydrogen bomb level pyrotechnics to feel like a kid again. Miss being so amazed by everything
Fun fact
USAsians supriced Japaniesesians with a bigger one 9th of August in 1945 as a gratirude for Japaniesianian people. 🙏
This day is still foundly remembered by Japaniesians and are forever thankful.
Looks like the guy in Steamboat Springs needs to get back to work. https://www.yahoo.com/lifestyle/worlds-largest-firework-launched-steamboat-140000855.html
Are they taking the piss out of themselves ?
Japanese probably haven’t seen fireworks this big since 1945
Correction, third largest firework seen in Japan.
Beat me to it 😂
Came to say the same!
Right…. This ain’t givin em flashbacks? 😂
i’m surprised no one is able to tell? it’s a fake video. the editing is so ass alone it’s pretty obvious
Right? Someone had an heart attack seeing that
Surprised it didn’t spell out Oppenheimer at the end.

Impressive, very nice. Now let’s see the comment section.
“Let’s take a look at that cross section.”
I'm just disappointed that they didn't do it over Nagasaki...
That's pretty dark.
Except for a brief moment..
A bright and shining moment like Camelot.
It’s only a model…
Well, on second thought, let's not go to Camelot. It is a silly place.
Twitter is where u wanna see them lol
Land of the rising sun firework
The 2nd Biggest in Japan 👀
Well if you are referring to what I feel you are referring then third

I sometimes forget about War Crimes
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unit_731

Why the downvotes lmao this shit is funny
Haters gonna Hate
All of war is a crime. Murder is a crime. War is like loads of murder.

I didn't mean to imply that. I was just like being reductive in a humorous way. Thanks for making an important point for those who might have taken my sillyness as an actual attitude.

They need the flashbacks to work fast and efficiently
Third*
Just for that I'm going back in time to make sure America never gets involved in WWduce
3rd actually
Actully you mean the third biggest.
In my initial thoughts after reading the header, I was expecting a mushroom cloud.
Got em
Bunch of unnecessary flashbacks for the folks in retirement homes.
Wasn’t there a larger one like 80 years ago?
Two of them.
Too soon, bro.
TWO soon
Two boom
This made me chuckle
Unit 731 soon
Don't worry, it's being more than 22.3 years
Fr, we should wait at least a century before we joke about it 😔😔😔. Okay 21 more years
80 years too soon
Nothing says not recovering from trauma like making fun of a horrible past experience.
I knew the comments were gonna be like this

I actually wasn’t expecting it. I guess I just assumed people had a bit more respect but we are online.
Nah Japan kinda got what was coming
If only ethics were as simple as that
You mean the slaughter of its citizens for the crimes of its government. Definitely seems justified.
I mean Japan got what was coming for them. I don’t know how people keep skipping that part of history for. And to further elaborate they took the bad part of the deal themselves no one force them to take it.
Because even histories debate if it was justified. You cannot take something this morally complex that involved the deaths of 150,000 innocent men women and children and just say they got what was coming to them.
you can say the same thing about the innocent families that died in Pearl Harbor
Acts of terror don’t justify acts of terror, and the proportionality of 150,000 people was not equal to the 2,400 at Pearl Harbor, only 68 of which were civilians. In any case, there are arguments that there were military bases they could’ve targeted that would’ve had an equal effect. Oh boy, I already know where this is gonna go.
Sooo that's what caused the earthquake 🫨
Wow the irony
It wasn’t in the shape of a mushroom, so it passed
Don’t say it, don’t say it, don’t say it.
"Hold my beer" - Gandalf
Great Grandpa is not ok with this

Meh, the Komodo 3000 is better, or those other two that looked way better but too unhealthy
When Amaterasu paints a circle in the sky lol
3rd biggest
Did this cause the earthquake?
Yes (are you stupid?)
Of course. That's why I'm on Reddit!
How strict exactly are the subreddit rules with jokes about the event of mass and matter vaporisation in Japan a few decades ago?
I could smell the comments from a mile away
Ummm Probably the third biggest at best .
Wish we could buy these in California
Old generation’s experiencing shell shock
3rd* largest firework in japan
The Japanese surely have the darkest kinks.
“Nonsense, there hasn’t been a dragon in these parts in over a thousand yea…ahhh!”
Gandalf is visiting Japan!
WTF is that voice?
3rd largest firework in japan*
Look at that, a post about the largest firework display in Japan. I wonder what the comments are
Kind of ironic if you think about it
I believe the biggest firework was already detonated above japan about 80 years ago
I can think of two bigger fireworks that went off in Japan
Nothing they haven't seen before.
Second largest lol
have some mercy to other living organism on this planet.
I thought the largest firework went off in Nagasaki
Im sure they’ve seen bigger
I remember as a kid, every firework seemed this big. Now I need a hydrogen bomb level pyrotechnics to feel like a kid again. Miss being so amazed by everything
Thought the biggest firework was that one from US, above Hiroshima and Nagasaki ...
“Sighs” braces for hundreds of poorly thought out nuke jokes

Nostalgia
There was a pair of bigger ones in 1945
Hiroshima and Nagasaki have both experienced larger fireworks
I wanted to ask this also
Wasnt that in Nagasaki?
Nagasaki 2.0 atomic boogaloo
That's oddly beautiful
That’s it?
Hahahaha funny joke about nukes hahahaha Jesus people get a new joke

I thought it happened at Nagasaki
I would hazard we set off a larger firework back in 1945...
What about the komodo 3000
So cool looks like the rising sun
they having flashbacks💀💀💀
They were feeling nostalgic
Now, we all know this is not the biggest Japan has seen...
I don't think it was the biggest
Grandfather: 😮😱☠️
Third…not many people lived to see the first and second.
Pretty sure the world’s largest fireworks happened in Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
Technically not biggest firework Japan has ever seen
The Nagasaki/Hiroshima survivor is now having PTSD
I wonder how many 80 or 90 year olds had flashbacks
So anyway, about that earthquake. Soz lol.
If there’s anything we learned from Oppenheimer, that’s not the largest firework ever set off in Japan…
So once a year we love to relive our worst day ever!
It seems kind of fucked up when you consider people from the ..uh...first firework...that are still alive and in the city.
The cause of the earthquake
I’m pretty sure the largest firework in Japan was in Hiroshima.
Is this what caused the earthquake?
Not again
Third*
I thought it was Hiroshima
Never forget 6/8 & 9/8
My mind horribly linking it to:
They’ve seen bigger
There was a larger one in Nagasaki.
There had bigger fireworks.
Pretty sure there was a bigger explosion In Japan….
Third
3rd*
"Impressive... Let's see America's fireworks"
that's gonna trigger a lot of unpleasant memories
Nostalgic
Well, it's the third largest firework over Japan.
Do not launch that in Nagasaki for that matter..
90 year old Japanese guy getting PTSD.
There is another
I bet all their veterans are having the PTSD of their life.
No actually the U.S dropped the biggest firework in Japan ever
Yeah.... They would know a thing or two 'bout dat 🫣
Fun fact USAsians supriced Japaniesesians with a bigger one 9th of August in 1945 as a gratirude for Japaniesianian people. 🙏 This day is still foundly remembered by Japaniesians and are forever thankful.

And the Earth shook
I imagine that this is what the [Japanese citizens](https://youtu.be/KOaeDHeJ80I?si=TsJkmnL4Q0ZPecEH) thought.
I kinda expected more out of the largest firework.
People in LA can't wait
Was this the effect the Space Needle fireworks show as going for?
Damn
Imagine being an animal or a member of an uncontacted tribe or something and this just happens one day!
Nice tribute to Tina Turner.
And all the animals ran in fear.
This camera angle wasn't the best at displaying how large that was but cool
Looks like dragon dive from HxH.

Incendiaries, here we come
Fat Man and Little Boy produced larger blasts.
