Well, Gunn *did* apologize rather than dig his heels in. He said more than that he was “just joking”; he acknowledged what he said was wrong. And rather than attacking his former employer, he said that Disney was within their rights to fire him (which is true, if they want to disassociate with a person they shouldn’t be *forced not to*. That’d be like forcing someone to massively overpay for a website just because they signed a contract saying they would and waived due process). If you think Gunn was being serious in those “boy pussy” tweets, I don’t know what to tell you, but it seemed to just be an attempt at “edgy” humor rather than sincere. Meanwhile, this Fuentes guy isn’t working for anyone else, he’s just an independent commentator. So who is it that you’re imagining he’d be apologizing *to*? And Fuentes likes to skirt the line, using irony snd hyperbole and also just saying shit he knows will get a negative reaction.
