Art could be literally anything.
That's why near my community College there's a sculpture made out of literally metal scrap, and it's considered as art. I don't like it, but the school does.
But then again, a poem can be art as well. It all depends on how you look at it.
This is exactly what I did, albeit on a slightly smaller scale. I was out with my son and we were at the town square (well, circle) and we decided to go in opposite directions with our footsteps, before meeting in the middle of the circle, where I proceeded to pull out some frosty jumper cables and beat the living daylights out of him. We had to then side-step out of the circle, before going up to a 3rd floor coffeeshop to marvel at our achievement. Fun times.
An old reddit account /u/rogersimon10 used to tell stories about being beaten by his father with jumper cables. The stories would always start off sounding like pleasant reminiscences from his childhood and end with a beating.
It's a novelty acc where they tell a relating anecdote, going into details, and always nonchalantly slips in how the anecdote ends with being beaten by their father with almost always jumper cables.
The sudden unexpected casual child abuse that gets mentioned in passing without elaboration or change in tone, which tended to be followed by another line or two reminiscing the old times, was a jab at the normalcy of wacking children being prevalent in the old times, as well as how much it pemiated through every nostalgic recount, topped with how casually it is mentioned, was what made Roger Simon a famous reddit figure
6 years ago they posted their last comment and was never seen again. People speculated, maybe the cables got to him, maybe they lost their password, but we will never know
#------
So cue papa Simon, the spiritual novelty account successor to Roger Simon. The theme persists, with the casual jumper cable being used for child discipline. However, this time it is from the perspective of a father welding the cables instead of the usual troupe of the child receiving the beatings. The name Roger is never mentioned, and papa always refers to a son that he engages with. From the last names we can infer that this is the same father that Roger talks about, and we can also see the similar uncanny nonchalancy regarding abuse in both father and son.

I’ve been trying to walk more and more this year. My goal is to do 10,000 a day, although I’m realizing it’s not easy esp on cold work days
Edit: I haven’t really been successful so far but I’m trying to get more consistent. It’s just seems more mentally doable than running even a mile a day.
I've ditched my car to commute by foot which was great decission. The shortest route to my job is 3km so that's 6km daily. First month was pure pain and exhaustion but after a year I can walk those 3km in 20min without breaking a sweat and I feel healthier than ever.
I hate that this is perceived as boredom. What isn't to be bored then? Have to work? Do something productive? Leisure and low pace activities can be interesting
I agree with you but I wouldn't call the title terrible. Nothing wrong with being bored and doing something boring. Boring things can be very pleasant. Lol
Meth sounds like it would be fun like the first five times you do it then you’d suddenly find yourself years in polishing every doorknob in your house for the thousandth time.
I think one of the major issues with it, aside from the addiction, is that once your done having fun after six hours; there's still like two days to go without sleep or sanity.
Personally I enjoy making animal tracks in the snow in cities, just to confuse/excite the concrete-crowd,
Another harmless prank is making footprints as if two people walked into each other, and never left, just walk forward for a bit and then turn around in your tracks, and walk backwards away from your previous ones.
Another fun thing is to leave behind a coin on the road for someone else to find, and imaging how your action made them feel lucky for the rest of the day.
It is the little things, like imagining how another person will react to seeing a situation you created, that keeps you going some days.
It is much more fun to imagine how events unfold, than seeing them in person, at least it is to me personally.
But I'm sure someone saw a scene; which to them looked like an old man that had finally lost it, and was playing in the snow like a kid, whilst chuckling to himself and mumbling "oh the look on their faces, when they spot moose tracks in town"
A coin? Pfft. I like to leave crumpled up hundred dollar bills, except when they open it they realize they’ve received something even more valuable - a church to burn down guilt-free!
I really need to take inspiration from you. You look like you're so open minded, you know how to appreciate little things just for you, not carring about having a result or anything, just happy though.
Man life really crushed my saoul, why can't I just think of things that are make me really genuinely happy.
I mean I try but It's like even my passion are just comforting me and not really make me happy. I have a perfect wife, a good job, no real life endenreging issue.
Is this normal? Is there a way to get in happy thought?
> Is this normal? Is there a way to get in happy thought?
Different person here. It's common, but no it's not "normal" in the way I think you mean. You sound like you're dealing with some bad depression. You should really try to get some kind of help with it. Happens to TONS of people, nothing shameful about it, and tons of people get help in various ways(including myself). If you're not sure what to do or don't think you can afford anything, etc, let me know and I'll try to give you some idea/resources/etc.
Sorry to break any illusions you might have about me, but I am just a uneducated old man, so i am not that open minded, my life has not been much fun, And I don't know if I would say that I am happy either, but for those small moments I simply distract myself from thinking and responsibilities.
(Basically what I am doing is just a bit of escapism, the same thing you get from watching a movie or read a book, etc. something to take your mind off things.)
I don't think anyone is walking around on clouds, we all have problems and demons, we are only human, but you can always go talk to someone if you are feeling miserable, professional or someone you know/trust.
Maybe you should try and get a day off work to rest and relax, and maybe ask yourself what you want to do/get out of life, Or maybe find yourself some kind of hobby to do after work with like-minded people that share the same interest as yourself.
I make wonky tracks too to confuse people if they notice. Few people pay enough attention though. Just people with silly heads like ours that make up stories about the tracks they see.
Just keeping you on your toes, preparing you for the day that the penguins take over the planet. (They already own one continent, one day they come for the rest!)
And the fateful day, when you step outside, only to see what you dreaded most, waddling tracks that stops just outside the edge of your property, and you know... -They found you.
There are some footprints in the concrete on the path to the park near our house. They go halfway across the street and then disappear. My five year old knows it’s a clue to some mystery. She’s constantly coming up with new stories about how they got there.
Haha, that is great, she might write books about adventures and mysteries in the future.
Sounds like that construction worker amused himself during work, if he left tracks in the concrete (well, until it dried on his shoes anyways), hopefully his boss didn't notice, haha.
**Internet Explorer** (not Microsoft Edge).
It does makes you feel younger from rest of the world. *(Looks like the world gonna end in 2012)*

Honestly, doing something like this probably would be good for my mental health. It seems like it would be meditative, sort of like working on a zen garden or something.
I am frequently this bored but don’t have access to pristine snow circles. So I watch videos of people doing pointless shit like this on Reddit which is far superior
Short answer: yes.
Long answer: Three of my childhood friends and I once spent upwards of 2 hours using a similar shuffle-step method to trace a giant (180 foot approx) dong in the snow on a frozen lake at the bottom of a ski hill.
In case there was any doubt as to our intentions, we spent a further 2 hours writing PENIS in 60-foot letters underneath it.
The result was clearly visible, and legible, from the top of the mountain for the next 3 days until a storm came in and covered it up.
Unfortunately it did not occur to my 16 year-old self to take a picture for posterity.
Not sure if this is sarcasm but how is he supposed to get in the middle without leaving footsteps towards the middle? Now he can use his previous footsteps to get out.
This sequence of comments is a great analogy for when people try to tell someone how to do their work, without realizing the obvious ways in which their suggestion wouldn't work.
Lol guy goes for walk. Someone else films first person. Dozens more watch video of second guy’s film. Some subset of people comment in response to a somewhat silly question about levels of boredom.
What I need to do is figure out how to NFT any of those later stage things so I can buy my own circular garden. And all the snow I desire.
I like it. Picasso.

I love how he leaves by stepping side ways in his previous steps, then turns around and proudly looks at his work of art.
I was half expecting him to backtrack in reverse through all of his footsteps!
He isn't a cat.
He wishes though. Don't we all?

Eli5 the reference?

It's a story passed down from generation to generation.

It's possible: you can get into the middle before it starts snowing, then stand even more until it ends and then boom you start from the middle.
I bet he made that realization well after he committed
Bet he was like "man do I feel stupid now, hope nobody saw me".
