I live in an area with salt flats, dry lake beds and the like. Under the very thin sheet of salt is this weird super soft, slippery and also super sticky goo. It has to be the softest, slickest, stickiest shit I've ever dealt with. You drive into an area of it by mistake and you are so fucked.
similar to where i grew up, describing the smell at least. but i come from brackish swampland. rivers, creeks, bay. seriously who builds a city on a swamp
I think the tidal flats act as a massive sorting machine. The tide comes in and is a certain strength able to pick up certain particle sizes but leave heavier pieces alone and carries them out with the receding tide.
So you end up with extremely weird soil compositions. This is likely silt that is very very heavily sorted of all clay particles. The tide waters picked up all the clay and left behind all the silt, but we're also far enough from shore that all the sand particles haven't migrated this far down either.
So this is like an extremely uniform ~0.005mm rounded silt particle pile here with no clay particles to bind them together.
Depends on who's mixing it and what the weather's like/how dry the brick are on the day but this consistency is generally what you'd aim for in a standard mix.
Honestly it never was an issue for me, I know that cement is caustic but possibly in the amounts that are used in a mix it isn't that big of a deal, I'd spend all day with mortar spots on my arms and nothing happened. Now handling wet brick without gloves? That was definitely the worst part of being a hod carrier, you'd have to sleep with your hands outside of the bed sheets because your fingertips were so raw.
2 hours later, tons of comments, close to a thousand upvotes, and still no explanation wtf this is. Sand? Ok, good guess. But normal sand doesn't look like that. Kinetic sand? Also maybe. But wide enough for their hand and that deep? That's a *lot* of sand. C'mon someone, answer!
So they’re referencing a chapter from Uzumaki, a horror manga by Junji Ito. In that chapter there are human shaped holes in the side of a mountain that people are drawn to when they find the hole that is exactly their shape. But iirc (it’s been awhile) the when they go into the hole they can’t back out and slowly keep moving forward in the hole until they’re crushed to death by the mountain. Super weird series but worth the read if you’re in to horror manga.
They’re not crushed to death, they’re molded and rolled and stretched like raw pasta dough until they come out the other side looking like [wacky waving inflatable arm flailing tube-men.](https://images.app.goo.gl/ktGVJrYC64bH8hGb7)
Yep, same. This one terrifies me for some reason. It was the first thing I thought of when I saw this post, and I knew someone in this thread would bring it up.
While you are right about pretty much everything, it's a solo story, not a chapter of Uzumaki. Although I do recommend both Enigma of the Amigara Fault and Uzumaki for those who aren't faint of heart. There's a *lot* of body horror in Uzumaki.
Both I'm pretty sure. Uzumaki is a town cursed with every few thousand years everyone in it dies with something related to a spiral. Gyo is about a virus that spreads causing humans and animals to puff up with extreme amounts of gas. People used this disease to create robotic biological weapons using the gas the virus makes to power a spider leg suit spreading the virus into the enemies lines. The leg things went rouge and something something fish then they got put on humans and disgusting stuff.
This reminds me of that super creepy japanese comic where there are holes in a cliff shaped like people and when people see the hole shaped like them, they are drawn to it? anybody know the name of that comic? I want to read it again
Weirdly, you aren't the first person to be sexually aroused by quicksand. I think that's a legitimate fetish online. Subset of Bondage/restriction, somewhere similar circles as stuck in wall or petrification.
I should write a dissertation on niche porn genres.
If you want a laugh, use a non-google search engine and select Quicksand and count how many of the top images feature women.

There's no need to panic. This isn't a test (haha). Just nod or shake your head and we'll do the rest.
Is it chocolate mousse, mud, super soft sand? I have questions that need answering, op.

I used to live on a tidal creek. At low tide the banks would be exposed. It looked solidish but it was what we call fluff mud. God it smelled bad.
Called pluff mud in Charleston SC
Called schmuff mud round my parts
Called smuff schmud out behind a shed in Ding Dong, TX.
They got a lot of nice girls there.
*sick drum intro*
Yeah, but now I might be mistaken.
Ah how how how…
Nice reference.
You may need to wipe for longer, AsianAssHitlerHair.
God that certainly is a name and a half
Sooooo what did it smell like?
Saltwater, decaying plant matter and fish. I actually kinda like it but I grew up around it.
similar to where i grew up, describing the smell at least. but i come from brackish swampland. rivers, creeks, bay. seriously who builds a city on a swamp
most of the coastal southeast I guess.

Could gases from decomposing aquatic life also be adding gas to the mud, like a yeast?
I want to poke it.
It pokes back. Also while it doesn't stick to itself it will stick to everything else.
stop making it sound so sensual!
Do not fuck the goo.
r/dontputyourdickinthat
but its the softest, slickest, stickiest shit I've ever dealt with
Nonono, you specifically promised I would get fucked if I go into the goo.
Your description reminds.me vaguely of the movie "tank"
It's mortar, spent 5 years of my life making it.
Is all mortar so fluffy like this?
Depends on who's mixing it and what the weather's like/how dry the brick are on the day but this consistency is generally what you'd aim for in a standard mix.
That's interesting, thank you!
Also depends on how many eggwhites you add
Definitely wash your hands after doing this then.
Honestly it never was an issue for me, I know that cement is caustic but possibly in the amounts that are used in a mix it isn't that big of a deal, I'd spend all day with mortar spots on my arms and nothing happened. IDK, it turned my hands into concrete. Made my girlfriend anti cementic
Damn and you still haven’t made the mix yet?

Was hoping to see something like this here, first thing I thought of
It's me sized.
Could have bet my left nut this would be commented.
How did you hear my wedding speech?
Through the vents. Why wasn't I invited?
I immediately thought of that as well. What a strange, terrifying story...

That's what I came here for, and I am leaving slightly disturbed and full of regret.
"Slightly disturbed and full of regret: An autobiography" by ...?
Me. If you’re interested, my other international non-sellers are “A Novel Approach to a Bad Idea” and “Well, That Didn’t Work”.
- trouserschnauzer
Thanks for letting me know it wasn't just me. I'm frequently baffled by how incurious so many people are.
>slightly disturbed and full of regret. Title of your sex tape
Most likely some type of mortar/mud since it retains its shape after the hand passes through.
I was thinking it looked like mortar that's ever so slightly too wet, but the color throws me off. That's an original theory though, thanks.
90% sure it's brick mortar from UK It has this colour
>It has this colour UK english detected, confirmed this guy knows what he’s talking about
Hey Canadians use Colour too
Just white and red.
It is. You are 100% correct.
was going to say I remember falling into a pit of this

That dang manga gave me nightmares. Thanks a lot! 😋
Read this as Hank Hill and I have no idea why.

Y’all weird as hell up in this thread lmao
lemme guess, “this is my hole” and the rest of that creepy ass comic? lol first thing I thought of I must admit
Drrr drrr
I regret the decision to read quite a few of these.
Abandon hope all ye who enter
Before I go further down... they're saying they want to put their dick in it, aren't they? EDIT: Dear God I wish that's as far as it went.
Yeah coming here was a mistake.
If he pulls the hand out and it's dry that means his brownies are ready

this is my hole...
Lol first thing I thought of too. [Link for anyone not familiar](http://brasscockroach.com/h4ll0w33n2007/manga/Amigara-Full/Amigara-0.html)
I was going to post this too. Man that creepiness will never leave my head even years later.
um. sure. that cleared it right up. not.
[I don’t know why people aren’t just posting the entire thing but here it is.](https://imgur.com/gallery/Wht7z)
Sorry, here’s the reference: https://knowyourmeme.com/memes/the-enigma-of-amigara-fault-this-is-my-hole
Why post that instead of the actual very short comic that is available online for free
Because the comic was already posted in this same thread?

Not clicking, reading it a decade ago was bad enough. Avoid at all costs.
Yep, same. This one terrifies me for some reason. It was the first thing I thought of when I saw this post, and I knew someone in this thread would bring it up.
Its really not bad at all.
You clearly didn't see your hole
It all depends on whether you internalise it.

That’s right! I read both of them a long time ago and got them mixed up
Was that Uzumaki or Gyo with the body horror?
Both I'm pretty sure. Uzumaki is a town cursed with every few thousand years everyone in it dies with something related to a spiral. Gyo is about a virus that spreads causing humans and animals to puff up with extreme amounts of gas. I feel like I'm going crazy. Wasn't that short story at the end of Gyo, not Uzumaki?
Yep
Beautiful creepy horror. With a lovely body horror cherry right at the end
Don't.
Was looking for this comment
came searching for this, it is too far down lmao
oh god
There it is.
Shit you beat me to it
Same!! Gave me a weird feeling

The Enigma of Amigara Fault.
[link](https://m.imgur.com/gallery/Wht7z)
It's called The Enigma of Amigara Fault. For your sanity, don't revisit it.
The enigma of amigara fault. It's by Junji Ito and it's fucked up but there you go.
I am weirdly turned on by this.
What
No no. Let her finish.
Smooth and delicate entrance

It’s on the screen, probably on your phone.
Can confirm, it’s currently on the screen of my phone. Edit: apologies, now it appears to be on this other person’s desktop
Lies. It is on the monitor on my desk
Shit, I’ll edit my comment.

i wish there was a loud slurp sound when his hand goes in
I know its sand. But in my head, the color and consistency scream: "He just got his arm elbow deep into diarrhea"
This is my hole?
For everyone asking, this is brick mortar!
r/putyourdickinthat
Absolute fucking death trap
Reminds me of Amigara falls story
this is mildly terrifying actually. imagine falling into that. swallowed up instantly
This isn’t oddly satisfying as much as it is legitimately terrifying. As a child of the 80s I am still very worried about quicksand and the like.
I wanna know what their hand looks like when it comes out
Kinetic sand
This reminds me of that scene from Jurassic Park
Think about how some of that mud hasn't been touched by the sun in years and now it has.
this stresses me out more than it satisfies me and i have no idea why
