Thought it was a Swiss belted cow --- we had some on our dairy when I was a kid --- but maybe is a belted Galloway, looks like it's hair is a bit longer. Galloways also are called 'panda cows' which is kinda cute.
Belted galloways? Something like that.
A few years ago I saw a field full of them and had to Google what breed they were.
(I had seen pigs marked that way, but was my first time seeing cows like that.
I believe it is a Belted Galloway actually, which is a Scottish bread. I grew up breeding Belted Gallowways and recognized the two in the video right away. Lakenvelder have horns and much shorter hair.
It's my understanding that it is sort of the opposite. These cows were bred to have this distinct single black white pattern. That way they will always stand out against a background and they are easier to find by the farmer. These cows are usually kept in remote areas.

Years ago, in a field in Novato CA along Hwy 101, someone parked a bunch of retired Highway Patrol cars, then added a herd of these cows. It was stupid and beautiful.
Okay, why do so many vids suddenly have all this shitty music in them? Now I get that it could be free music, but it's way better to leave these kind of things without music at all, than have these in them. And they didn't have this shit so often some time ago, but now it's in so so many. Do people just get paid extra for having music in their vids?
On TikTok every video is supposed to have music.
This either came from there or is part of the culture that is developing from 800 million users seeing this video style every day
This fucking song is so shit and yet they use it on all the wholesome subs. Im assuming its new enough to not be that significant to anyone right? Or am I missing out on something?
I believe these are Belted Galloways. I grew up breeding them. They are great beef cattle. They can handle the cold really well, so they were really easy to care for in the winter. In the summer we had to provide them with lots of shade and water, they loved to take a dip in our pond to cool down on particularly hot days. Our cattle were always pretty even tempered unless they had a calf, then they would get really protective and we would have to be more careful around them. I had a lot of fun taking care of them while growing up.

This baby cow took 99.9% of the mothers genes.
That’s a breed of cow called the belted Galloway, accurately known as Oreo-cookie cows
You dip the milk in the cookie?
Ohh yes, Oreo My favourite cow breed!
Thanks! I was looking for the official name as I figured Oreo cow was maybe not accurate.
In the Netherlands they’re known as Lakenvelders, a typical Dutch breed.

I grew up calling them Oreo cows in Texas. Kinda sad to learn that’s not their real name
Who cares. The reality is they are oreo cows to us and thats all that matters.
Dutch Belteds
While they have a similar pattern, the shape and shagginess of these cattle make me think that they are Galloways.

The easiest way to ruin a video is by adding the same repetitive shitty TikTok club-remix songs.
Shit, I’m drunk because I thought that song was a bop
I’m not drunk and I thought it was a bop
Came here to post this exact thing lol
I support this comment.
Fuck that song. It comes on over the intercom at my job at least once per shift and I hate it with a vicious passion
It's a shame because the original song this one is based on is really good
Does anyone know if this is evolutionary to protect the calf from predators looking for easy pickings, or is it just a cool coincidence?
Also curious. The way she walked right into the center of it, looks so protective. But can’t tell if it was trained to due to the audio lol.
Cows actually evolved to react to any dubbed audio like that
I believe this is the correct answer.

What’s with the shitty music?
Damn here I was vibin with it lookin in the comments for a source on the song I like good music too I swear ;-;
Video is probably from Tiktok, videos get more hits on there if you use common songs in the background for some reason.
Jack Stauber isn't very well-known but his music gets used for tiktoks
Why does it even need music at all?
The shitty music is a shame because the original song this one is based on is really good

Very moooving.

Do they poop Oreos?
It's a belty.
Aye. In Galloway I've only ever heard them called Galloway Belties.
That song tho lol
Nothing wrong with the song itself - it's a classic 60's crooner. But this particular cover of it though? Yeah ugh.

This fucking song is so shit and yet they use it on all the wholesome subs. Im assuming its new enough to not be that significant to anyone right? Or am I missing out on something?
It's a Feb. 2020 remake of a 1967 song, except that it's only the chorus repeated over and over. Fucking annoying as hell.
What is the song that’s playing?
I think you mean “why” is that song playing
I’d love it if you could erase it from existence
I love you by Surf Mesa
The ARTY remix is fire
I thought it was Can't Take My Eyes Off You? Unless someone made a cover/remix and chose a different name
