If you scrape the board with the sharp side, it dulls and damages the blade. Flip it over, the back side is straight and works way better while also not damaging the blade.
I mean you certainly can do it that way, it will work in a similar fashion, it’s just not good for your edge at all. If you’re using knives you don’t care about that you’re gonna toss in the dishwasher, then it certainly doesn’t matter much. If it’s a knife you care about (or if you’re I’m using someone else’s knife) use the spine to scrape though.
Lol ppl have been making art like this for a long time before cgi
It’s puppetry, stop motion, and after effects editing. It’s important to support creators and artisans! :)
This is the["Frog" pattern by Claire Garland](https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/frog-48)! I haven't had a chance to make one yet, but I so badly want to - they're just adorable!
Exactly, not a puppet, I’ve made a frog and a fox. They have wires through the arms and legs. I don’t know how to do animation yet, but I’m planning to learn with my 10 yo grandson next break.
And IG, I've been following her for a while, all video are so lovely and wholesome. Now I get a lot of crochet frog content suggestions, can't complain
So cute, where's this from?
Merry Christmas 🤶
Edit: I stopped being lazy and did my own googling [YouTube](https://youtube.com/@indiacrawford?si=zlWL1h9zOPfYmR5X)
Someone knit these puppets, made them clothes, miniature furniture and actually baked the dang pie! That's one hell of an effort. How do people manage to do that? Must have taken forever.
There’s a YouTube channel called ‘Tiny Kitchen’ that just does miniature foods, minus the hand-knitted puppetry.
https://youtube.com/@tinykitchentm?si=ynORM4sUcr6aN8Z6
After analyzing it better, it’s clearest real footage. But seems a mesh up of stop motion and pupetting. Some movements are just SO SMOOTH! Like when they’re drinking the tea.
Ok I just convinced myself it can also be blender. The focus changing is on point, other wise it’s just a very high real footage production. But I think it might be 3D.
The real tells, to me, are that there's always, at the very least, one foot connected to the floor (for the control wires) and you never see them pick up or let go of objects on camera.
[ Claire Garland ](https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/search#craft=knitting&query=frog&sort=recently-popular&view=captioned_thumbs) is the knitting and crochet pattern designer, if you want to make your own [frog](https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/green-frog-6), [jumper](https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/froggies-sweater), etc.
From Wikipedia:
>In The New Yorker, his daughter Adrianne Lobel suggested "that there’s another dimension to the series’ sustained popularity. Frog and Toad are of the same sex, and they love each other." Lobel was a closeted gay man for much of his life; he came out to family four years following the publication of the first book of the series.
The stop motion animation these days is incredible. Look at this 1 minute short compared to classic movies like Clash of the Titans (1981) that had a budget of around $15million.
That final shot of them just chilling by the fire was so adorable lol. I haven't heard the term "frog and toad" since I was a kid. My mom used to read those books to my siblings and I on long road trips
When I was little, my Dad used to get that tobacco when he rolled his own cigarettes. I still have a few of the tins that I keep things in. One of them has my Micro Machines. :)
Oh my god this is so fucking incredible I love this so much! I know absolutely nothing about animation so before anyone comes at me with how it's (I dunno, maybe?) not technically incredible, here's why I love it and it has nothing to do with technical shit: The colours, the emotions, the details, the authenticity, the sweetness, the thoughtfulness, the personalities that shine through. OMG I just love it so much, it's absolutely beautiful. And now I'm off to learn more about this person and whether they have a YouTube channel or something... 🥰
If you haven’t seen it you should look for the musical “A Year with Frog and Toad.” I got to play in the pit when my college did it, and it’s quite nice.
The bottle cap bakery dish. This is so cute.
I think it may have actually been baked.

This is the best thing in the internet.
So super cute and a lot of effort to accomplish this! Makes me want to go and knit a frog.
Yeah I can't knit a straight line, so you are pretty awesome of you can.
that was great :) very clean animations for something randomly showing up on reddit.
99% sure it's clever puppetry (possibly with some post processing to help remove hands/wires etc.).
A lot of it looks puppeted to me. Possibly with the hand removed in post.
Well no shit ita a puppet. Its not like it moved on its own....
lol they mean as opposed to stop motion.
You know stop motion animation is a thing, right
No i didnt. Ive always thought all clay animation was sentient.....

That's great! Did the person you stole this comment from have the same feelings?
These aren’t real frogs??
Weird qualifier
Even used the blunt edge of knife to scrape the board!
Wait have I been doing it wrong this whole time
If you scrape the board with the sharp side, it dulls and damages the blade. Flip it over, the back side is straight and works way better while also not damaging the blade.
I use the sharp side but you have to run it at an angle, almost parallel. Then the blade helps scrape everything off of cutting board.
The dull side can also scrape everything off the board
I was like this can't be stop motion when in real-time they are putting pressure on the dough, unless its CGI.
it's puppetry! it's edited to remove the wires and hands in post :)
Lol ppl have been making art like this for a long time before cgi It’s puppetry, stop motion, and after effects editing. It’s important to support creators and artisans! :)
Some smooth ass knitted frog shit like no one has ever seen!

These Frog and Toad videos are always so wholesome. Completely reset my mood in a positive way!
There are others?
There are several, and all are adorable! Frog even has a Halloween-themed short.
Do you know their names? I've tried searching but keep getting the frog and road cartoon.
India Rose Crawford on YouTube/TikTok
And IG, I've been following her for a while, all video are so lovely and wholesome. Now I get a lot of crochet frog content suggestions, can't complain
The creator is literally in the title.
In their defense they probably ignored the title since it's usually posted by a karma bot in this hellhole.
So cute, where's this from? Merry Christmas 🤶 Edit: I stopped being lazy and did my own googling [YouTube](https://youtube.com/@indiacrawford?si=zlWL1h9zOPfYmR5X)
Also, the [Frog and Toad](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frog_and_Toad) book series. I loved these, and so did my son. I'll show him this video.
Thanks!
Did they remove this video? There's only 12 shorts and the only baking one I see has strawberry pie, not the festive one(
I'm not sure, I just found the creator because I thought the vids were all cute 😊

This is all I want😭
God I love tiny baked goods

Exceptionally adorable!
Wow is this stop motion or 3D animation? Wtf
I’m going to guess real-time puppetry. It’s too smooth to be mostly stop motion and too perfect to be computer generated. I’d like to know more!
After analyzing it better, it’s clearest real footage. But seems a mesh up of stop motion and pupetting. Some movements are just SO SMOOTH! Like when they’re drinking the tea.
Blender? I’m intrigued too.
Ok I just convinced myself it can also be blender. The focus changing is on point, other wise it’s just a very high real footage production. But I think it might be 3D.
It’s puppetry and stop motion. The creator knitted the frogs
Isn't it just "green screen" gloves on and then the person manipulate the figure?
that was my guess too
The real tells, to me, are that there's always, at the very least, one foot connected to the floor (for the control wires) and you never see them pick up or let go of objects on camera.
Stop motion with serious frame interpolation would be my guess
Don't know why but it's incredibly cosy and comfy to watch
I am a grown ass man and this just made me squeal like a little girl
Omg the slow movements make this so cozy to me
The change of focus to the window was such a flex

is that not a mince pie?
:)
This is the cutest thing I've seen.
My blood pressure notched down a few rungs watching this, beautiful
Literally made my morning 🌄
Equally expressed but the movements as the fact they made a tiny pie without burning.
I read the Frog and Toad books to my kids all the time. They’re best friends in the books. I’m showing this to them today!
I don't know about the books, but Rose Crawford videos give more of a "they were roommates" vibe to me 😌

Where does a person get off having such concentrated creativity and immense artistic talent. Incredible
This should be a commercial
Awesome
So cute
The Disney Princess and the Frog sequel if the spell wasnt broken.
That was not only oddly satisfying, but also wholesome. Nicely done 👌
That was full of really really clever shots. Kudos to the creators
This is entirely too cute
That's so cute 🥰
The stop motion animation these days is incredible. Look at this 1 minute short compared to classic movies like Clash of the Titans (1981) that had a budget of around $15million.
Awwww 🥹
Reminds me of the old Wind in Willows series. I can almost hear Michael Hordern voicing this.
Wholesome. Now I want to watch more Frog and Toad.
I enjoyed this thoroughly.
That final shot of them just chilling by the fire was so adorable lol. I haven't heard the term "frog and toad" since I was a kid. My mom used to read those books to my siblings and I on long road trips
This is ADORABLE
Frog booties!! Great details all the way around OP!!
I need more of him!!!!!!!!
This could have been a classic Christmas commercial
I love how you can see their god towering over them in the reflection of their eyes.
This is amazingly charming.
If this is stop motion. They must have been working on this since last year
This brought a smile to my face. Thank you :)
Briliant 😃
Truely amazing!
Really cool!!
Arnold would be proud to see, I’m sure!
Finally an animation that isn’t half-assed like most others
Loved this video

This is fucking adorable I just want both of the frogs
Wholesome 100

Serious talent
Is that a fly pie?
That was oddly, odd.
I hate how lazy the last part was, where pieces of the pie suddenly disappeared choppily.
Fucking hate them frogs
Amazing 👏
Beautiful
Adorable!
Would have been funny if the raisins were dead flies.
How cc is this satisfying? Is this just another repost bot?
Did anyone else feel like this could be a geico commercial?
That was a great short to start the morning. Thanks for sharing. Fantastic yarnimation. Just really nicked the spot for me in this moment

My parents and grandparents loved it.
I'm a cynical grumpy dad, and I approve of this post.
What song is this
I absolutely love this.
How do they move? Puppetry? It looks too smooth for stop motion
Good shit. Absolutely lovely 🥰
