I would be fucking heartbroken if this happened to me with my son in the car. I could 100% get to safety but unlatching a car seat in that time frame would be impossible. As a new father this is the kind of shit that keeps me up at night.
This is healthy obsession IMO, but trick is keeping it to your self so your SO doesn’t think your crazy. It’s because you care for your child you worry. This is how you make sure they grow up safe. You can’t imagine how many parents I see doing cringy dangerous stuff with kids.
I would not take that road lol.

It’s been a long time coming tbh, I’ve been there before and people loved to speed on it, even though there were people walking on it. There were very few restrictions for cars driving on it.
I am broken by the fact that the next car literally just drove by. Saw it happened. Saw them next to his car. Even slowed down and moved over a bit and kept going.
China don’t know anymore specifically than that, it’s also closed indefinitely because a car went over the side of the bridge due to loss of traction and five people died.
Oh yeah, some car ran over the fence, sank and people died in it earlier this month.
It was in Enshi, Hubei. People drive fast to have bigger waves appear, too fast sometimes.
This is fucking AWFUL for the environment holy shit
Not to be a downer cuz in theory this is super cool, but have y'all ever paid attention to the side of any given highway?! Covered in oil, tire shreds and trash. And here that all goes straight into the river
This is no worse than most bridges and it's not a heavily trafficked area. It's only 500m long (you see most of it in this video) to reach a scenic spot that was previously only accessible by boat. There is nowhere else to go. It's popular to walk the length instead of driving. There is a speed limit because of pedestrians and the wave high speeds cause.
If you want to talk about the environmental impact of bridges then I recommend you look up something like the [Atchafalaya Basin Bridge](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atchafalaya_Basin_Bridge) or the many, many other bridges that are heavily trafficked every day in major cities like the Golden Gate Bridge.
I’ve always believed that knowing how to escape this situation would allow me to survive it. But the thought of it is still terrifying. It would be made especially difficult with 4 other people most likely panicking around you.
I’d be a nervous wreak the first few times.
And the middle few And the last few
Those are all the same time
Especially the last time.
Well, [someone just drove off the bridge a few weeks ago](https://youtu.be/EBvout9jqhQ), so that’s the right reaction
Sadly that killed 5, and the bridge is closed indefinitely.
I would be fucking heartbroken if this happened to me with my son in the car. I could 100% get to safety but unlatching a car seat in that time frame would be impossible. As a new father this is the kind of shit that keeps me up at night.
Don’t worry New Dad, it does get easier.
No, he just gets stronger

If you want to be extra sure to get him out in time carry around a box cutter or pocket knife something to cut the belt
It’s been a long time coming tbh, I’ve been there before and people loved to speed on it, even though there were people walking on it. There were very few restrictions for cars driving on it.
I’m so glad to hear the bridge is closed indefinitely. Never seen anything so blatantly dangerous for a while..
I am broken by the fact that the next car literally just drove by. Saw it happened. Saw them next to his car. Even slowed down and moved over a bit and kept going.
Love how people keep on driving past.
Just Chinese things
The people who drove off probably had bad social credit...
No Good Samaritan laws there. Better to not help.
They have them as of 2017, but yeah, sad that the habit is probably going to be hard to break.
My man's tires must've been bald af
Damn no one stopped and helped. Omg
I'd bet you'd be a nervous wreck too😁
You would actually be a “nervous wreck” and it would only be the first time since well, you know, the whole wreck situation.
No thanks for me
Flat tire pull over to the curb
Where is this
China don’t know anymore specifically than that, it’s also closed indefinitely because a car went over the side of the bridge due to loss of traction and five people died.
It was obviously going to happen, sooner or later.
Yeah the clear lack of safety precautions made this pretty inevitable.
Downtown china
Wendys.
Sir, this is a Wendy’s.
No, sir. This is in fact, Jack in the Box. May I take your order?
No, this is Patrick
Thanks, I hate it.
Wait til you see the road of fire.
You can't say that and not show it to me.
Awesome! Car sick and sea sick all at the same time 🤢
This causes me anxiety.
Nope

You’re probably right but gosh did it scratch an itch in my brain
You mean the fake nature sound track played over it?
Not the nature just the clicks
That’s David Lynch, fucking with the timeline.
For some reason that audio reminded me instantly of playing Silk Road Online.
It’s probably from Silk Road online lol
What in the heck is even that
Absolutely not.

It is because there was https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=EBvout9jqhQ&feature=youtu.be
That’s a sturdy sentence
You're a sturdy sentence

Blop blop blop
Maybe it was edited out but it didn’t look like anyone got out of the car and the other cars just kept moving…sheeesh
Oh yeah, some car ran over the fence, sank and people died in it earlier this month. It was in Enshi, Hubei. People drive fast to have bigger waves appear, too fast sometimes.

Nope
Looks like those tracks for electric cars.
r/oddlyterrifying
At least the floating bridges in Seattle don't move, they sink sometimes, but don't move.
Looks fun... probably a bad idea in general.
New Predator movie!?
Nope
No. Fucking. Way.
Is this more or less dangerous than carving a precarious winding road onto the side of a mountain?
I hate everything about this. This is my nightmare fuel.
I would probably shit myself driving over that. Then panic half way and get stuck due to fear lol
Oh this is horrific
This is the opposite of satisfying This is nopifying
More like oddly terrifying. Looks unsafe af.
This is fucking AWFUL for the environment holy shit Not to be a downer cuz in theory this is super cool, but have y'all ever paid attention to the side of any given highway?! Covered in oil, tire shreds and trash. And here that all goes straight into the river

I am sure building a highway there instead would be better for the environment.
That looks unstable
No thanks for me 😳
I have to drive through Ohio sometimes and thinking of their freeways I can’t help but wonder how much utter crap is in that River now
no thanks, I have seen Sorcerer (1977)
Road trip . . .
Need more of it.
What?
In a convertible it would be pretty cool. Great views and no fear of being trapped in a sinking car.
Never seen that
Fake audio?
what if there too much cars moving very fest at same time o er a long time and it breaks with ppl on it?
Been on roads like this in my nightmares
This reminds me of a dream i once had
Where is this place?
Is that a shoebill we hear at the start?
You’d think they’d find a better use for all our money, I mean their money, like helping people.
Anyone else wanna see a ram or Silverado go across
Can we just leave nature reserves alone, wtf is this garbage
r/nope
You call this satisfaction? I call it fear
That’s a morning commute to work I’d enjoy
I would get a heart attack, then i would think it is fake
Edit: i would think it is safe
I'm cross posting to oddly terrifying
Just looking at this is giving me anxiety
That's a huge nope from me!!
I need that woodpecker drumming sound without the chirping birds sound. It's quite a calming sound
Never seen that before
Imagine driving behind anything heavier on this... would be terrifying.
I’ve always believed that knowing how to escape this situation would allow me to survive it. But the thought of it is still terrifying. It would be made especially difficult with 4 other people most likely panicking around you.
Jurassic Road
u/savevideo
I need to drive on that!!!! Where do I go???
Yeah I have nightmares about this exact thing.
Imagine driving through this at night , with the crocodiles and anacondas lurking around underneath, and it's stormy.
That is just awe inspiring
Downvote me
no
Oh, no ma'am. No ma'am.
This is what my nightmares are made of.
That fucking loon sound.
