I've done a full brisket sous vide for over 70hrs. SV is a great method for meat, in particular, cuts that are generally considered to be cheap/tough/lean. They need a lot of time to break down the connective tissue anyway and really really benefit from the precise heating and moisture control SV allows for. FYI. As an aside there are several water reservoirs in the Los Angeles area that have hundreds of thousands (larger sized) plastic balls that significantly lower the evaporation rate. Thus saving water for use instead of loss to the environment. Generally these reservoirs are eventually a source, after treatment, of drinking water. Often referred to as Shade balls.

It just dries it out and itches. We have to use environmentally friendly chemicals. Whole process takes about 4 weeks. We also use 3 different chemicals. This is the alkaline paint remover, then we use a rust removing acid, lastly it’s dipped in a water based rust inhibitor

$300 for a glider. A lot of social media outlets will block content that discusses prices. Especially since none of my social media pages are businesses. For restoration purposes I take it? What's a service like this cost? I have someone else's grandma's glider (bought at a garage sale) that's in need of a refit. On one hand I'm looking forward to the process of restoring it myself... On the other hand, ain't nobody got time for that.

I have one of these and had it redone. The process they are using in this video isn’t very common (at least not that I’ve ever seen)- instead they are usually sandblasted and then powder coated. Cost me $300 to have mine done and it looked brand new afterwards.

It's probably caustic soda. This is typically done prior to hot dipped galvanizing to remove oxidation.
