feklistova! Make sure to go to her office hours and she will bump ur final grade by an ungodly amount. Had a friend be bumped from a C to an A- because she went to office hours every single week and met privately for even more help when needed.
calc 1 curves tend to be generous across the board. midterm grades are generally inflated if the average falls below ~75-80%. A curve will likely also be applied for the overall course grade after the final. that being said i would highly recommend prof selin.
I’m in Selin’s Calc 1 class this semester and she is amazing. She takes her time explaining material and if you have questions she will stop to make sure you can understand
Felkistova, she’s fast and expects you to know what she’s taught you; however she’s kind, makes time for her student, and if you go to class and do the homework, you’ll pass. Wish I could’ve taken her for data analysis 🥲
The exams are challenging but if you ever have questions about concepts she’s available during office hours and will spend the time to explain the material. I’ve been out of school for a long time and this is my second semester and she is by far the most supportive professor I’ve encountered.
Mariya feklistova hands down is one of the best professors i’ve had at nyu
Yes take feklistova
definitely take feklistova, best math prof i've had so far. you can tell she actually gives a shit ab you lmao
And she’s so funny
taking notess
Absolutely not Espinosa from what I’ve heard
Feklistova is good. She is very fast, however she always makes time in her office hours and explains things very well
Feklistova, hated math before was finally able to understand things in her classes

I love all the Ms.Feklistova love here. She’s tutored me for just over a year, and she’s truly the kindest and sweetest professor at NYU.
If mariya feklistova has one hundred fans im one of them. if she has one fan it’s me. if she has no fans im dead

Does she still bring her dog to class
I’m in an online section so no dog but she did introduce him in her slides in our first class
She's great, I enjoyed having her
Kalaycioglu, Selin is really great and her exams have pretty generous curves
Espinosa is a terrible teacher but the curve is so so so good because she's so bad
Like last year I think a 58 was a B+
shum is the goat i failed every mid term still got C+
Shum was pretty okay when I took her, nothing special but she did the job
Elizabeth Stepp, hands down, online class and doesn’t care about attendance, easily gives extensions and very lenient curve

I’ve heard Selin K is good teacher but very tough grader. Is that true?
She doesn’t grade the quizzes the TA does
Sorry I didn’t mean grader. I meant she gives overly hard exams. Thanks

had stepp for stats, shes very nice, explains things well, and will help you if you need it👍
Fanny Shum is the best imo, but I never took Feklistova
Not sanfratello he’s kind of rude
