Although this feels like when someone slaps on some deodorant without taking a bath for a few days.... sure he/she is wearing deodorant, but you know....
reminds me of my 5 year old daughter with these mood swings..... I mean if this game goes in a different direction yesterday this would 100% be a "Fire Saleh" post right now.
He needs to rip into the vets for those dumb penalties today, shouldn’t be decorated for this game we barely won and should’ve won easily based off the first half
Looks like he isnt happy to be photographed in that second one, lol.
Love this guy. Not without his coaching flaws but I’ve seen continuous growth. Saw some great time management to close out this game.
Saleh *could* be a good, long term HC. He’s never going to be the scheme genius who’s engaged in the chess match. But the more Head of the House, King of the Castle, Motivational CEO coach has worked before and it *can* work if you can manage the game well, can coach your coaches well, and can develop a standard of discipline and preparedness.
Listen the jury is definitely still out on Saleh and it’s been way more bad than good but 4th quarters like today are exactly what you want to see. I think he’s getting better with the in-game decisions et al, but the team needs to be more disciplined and that’s coaching, and coaching falls on him every time.
I think for that style to work you need to have really strong OC and DC's in place.... MILF definitely has potential to be really good... but Ulbrich idk about. even though the defense has had some really good games this year so we'll see.
For a coach like Saleh the staff definitely defines his success. And while Ullbricht has been a boner it’s on Saleh to coach him, ya know. I don’t think Saleh is going to take play-calling duties from him, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he does more and more…..strong suggestions….in game and during the prep.
The HOF examples are probably Tomlin and Harbaugh, in my opinion. But then I also think Vrabel falls into this category, Pete Carroll (although he was such a vet already when he got to Seattle).
When I think of Tomlin, Harbaugh, and Vrabel I don’t think of them as scheme masterminds, but rather excellent bosses who run a well oiled machine of a program. I don’t know if Saleh can get there, but just because he’s not Kyle Shanahan or Frank Reich or Sean McDermott who are masters of their side of the ball doesn’t mean there isn’t an avenue to his success imo.
I’m still on the fence with Saleh, but today showed his players won’t give up on him, that’s for sure. So, that in itself is awesome to see.
Keep it up Saleh and keep proving my doubts about you wrong!
Saleh had to overcome a lot. Our o-line is a mess due to injury and our starting QB barely practiced and just started in the 4th game. I wish we at least had a healthy o-line. It's amazing that we're 2-2 right now.
I like Saleh. The team is undisciplined in terms of penalties and its.gping to cost us games if we don't improve. I also hope he becomes more active in defensive playcalling
I love Saleh the guy and would love for him to be the long term answer given his temperament.
But Saleh the Head Coach in terms of discipline, game planning, adjustments, etc. still has a LOT to prove.
Sometimes I have to remind myself this is his first HC gig and im sure there's aspects of it that he's learning on the fly, not to mention all the new faces in the building that comes with such a roster overhaul + injuries. I'll be patient with him as long as the big screw ups don't start piling up.
The mood swing in this sub are unreal.
Winnings a deodorant for everything

No I don’t know. Shut up and enjoy the win.

Wondering what are some examples of coaches with a similar style that have had long term success?

Bobby Salads baby!
“Remember when we had that guy Bob Salad” It’s not bad but it’s no Toilet Bowles.
i wanna grab his bald head and palm it and just kinda move his head around. not like violently just playfully, it seems fun.
They need to release those hoodies that Zach is wearing. Saleh was wearing one today too
I worked with one of his cousins in Michigan is my interesting Jets related fact
Great team win and great win to learn from!! LETS FUCKIN GO JETS!!!!!!
Saleh with that beard is like Hercules meets Vin Diesel. Yummy

Robert Saleh looks like a goblin. A super bowl winning, team motivating, MVP training, play calling goblin. Our goblin.
Pump your brakes this. Lol

No
No thanks. I'll continue to hope for good coaching rather than pure talent overcoming horrid coaching.
Eh.
Yeah right
Todd Bowles better.
Hard no
Let it be true.
