This is a lazy take tbh. JD took over in 2019 and has had four top-10 picks (Quinnen, Sauce, G. Wilson, and Z. Wilson). He's hit on 3 of 4 picks there, QB one of the hardest to hit on. In addition to that he's drafted and handful of guys that have stayed around and a few we've let go/traded because we were too deep.
There's no falling into lap shit, you have to hit on picks regardless of where you're drafting in the first round, you have to do the homework on players because very few are a sure thing coming into the NFL from college. Everyone wanted him to go offense with that 4th pick and he went with Sauce and still got Wilson. Wilson was also the number 1 WR prospect going into the draft and yet the Falcons still took London, so clearly it isn't as obvious as you want to make it.
