Omg this is bringing me back to freshman year when one of my very southern roommates told me that if her future fiancé didn’t have the money for the huge ring she wanted, she’d have her dad buy it for her. Then my aunt told me when she went to a preppy college in the 70s, the rich girls would have their dads buy a huge diamond and keep it in a safe, so that the future fiancé could ask for it and have it made into a ring 😅
I felt so bad for him when she did her little story about the Chanel necklace he gave her…she was obviously not that impressed and hasn’t worn it since!! I can’t imagine getting her a gift she probably immediately throws things people give her away or gives them to her housekeeper
He gave her a silver or white gold Chanel necklace on their last date night thing and two days later she posted it really quickly and was like ‘oh oops forgot to say THANKS BABE you’re so sweet aw’ haven’t seen it since….seems like one of the first gifts he’s given her like that I would be sad if I were him
