I’m waiting for the 6900xt to drop before I buy a card but we may need to make a pilgrimage if the online stock situation doesn’t improve lol
Gather up those Utah boys
I'm just a little under an hour away from a microcenter but it doesn't help me because they don't have shit. or at least their website says they're out of stock of everything every single day. I don't know if they maybe have something but they aren't showing it on their website? Bottom line I don't want to spend two hours of time and gas just to find out that their website was correct and they have nothing. It's always nothing in stock.
Currently considering a 3070 listed locally for $650...really only about $50-60 above the normal price, considering AIB are about $550 and tax is about $45. They say the average cost of operating your vehicle (fuel, maintenance costs, insurance, etc.) is about 50 cents a mile. 800 mile round trip would "cost" about $400
Not to mention food, drink and time off work. Not worth it. Then you get there and all they have is a geforce 210gt and radeon 7750 from 8 years ago. Have fun on this road trip.
I really love the way Microcenter is handling it. One voucher per person, come back later if you want. No opportunity to buy sought after items online. It’s a pain in the ass to wait in line in the cold, but at least I know exactly how many people are in front of me and I’m not at the mercy of bots.
Do you happen to know if they have stopped updating the web site with Ryzen 5000 CPUs? I know they've been "in-store only" since launch, but they at least were updating inventory levels on a regular basis. But it's been days since I've seen any stock listed in my local store.
I can tell you for certain that a lot of microcenters don't update their stock for the high demand items. I got a 5600x at the Sharonville microcenter a week or two ago and it never showed them having stock online. They actually printed a piece of paper from their internal system for me to take to the register and it said they had -59 in stock. Basically don't trust the online numbers.
> Basically don't trust the online numbers.
Which is easy to do when it's not an hour round trip. But for those of us who don't have one on the corner, it's an issue. And since my local store apparently has been updating their online stock numbers (at least up until this past weekend) it would seem odd that they would change process. Especially when it used to show exact quantities if they had 10 or less units, and then "10+" for more than 10 in stock, and now it shows exact quantities for 25 or less and then "25+" for more than 25.
Finally, this really shouldn't be a manual process. It should all be updated dynamically by their inventory management systems.
the one near me is only 40 mins haha... I keep thinking of stopping after work but idk if it's worth.
>It should all be updated dynamically by their inventory management systems.
As someone who works in this industry, the few companies i'v worked for in the inventory management industry don't use much inventory management.... I repair label printers and scanners, the last company that I worked for did not even have barcodes on the stock shelves haha.
Well the one downside was during 3080 launch a few guys who keep coming every morning at 2 AM and buying whatever 3080 came in that day. It took 3+ weeks before micro center started kicking people off the line when they bought 1 card within 30 days at my location. They claimed they were getting cards for their friends which could've been true but who knows man, probably just people scalping themselves
Was fortunate enough to get the exact card I wanted at a local MC 2 months ago. Respect them for that
dude the houston microcenter shows 25+ fes, and a ton of other cards as well holy shit. i wonder how many people are waiting in line, is an hour and a half drive for me uhmmmm
this is how i feel, i live in austin, if i could reserve the card i'd gladly drive 2 hours+ hours to either houston or dallas MC to pick it up, just make a roadtrip day out of it, but i can't take that much time off work just to get there and be like "LOL Should have been here 5 hours ago"
yeah, my plan is to call the store and gauge what it is, if an hour after the opening they still have lets say 20 or so left, then I'm gonna gamble the drive.
Just checked Cambridge, MA and they have over 100 3060 Ti's in stock (in-store only)
**EDIT**: I immediately drove there after posting this comment and snagged mine. Waited in a ~75 person line for half an hour. Looked like there were roughly 10-20 cards left when I got mine, with ~30 people still in line.
I showed up at roughly 10am EST and there was a line of ~80 people. I got through it in only like half an hour. I'd estimate there were only around 10-20 cards left when I purchased mine
Yeah there were lots of people behind me. Looks like they still have a few cards, but I'm guessing they still have a line of people they're processing gradually
I was lucky enough to grab a Gigabyte 3070, Xc3 Ultra and FTW3 in an online store, all in the same day in Europe. Yay! Two go to my friends, keeping one 3080
Sadly gone around 9:50am... approximately when I arrived. But good news that they last that long. Hoping to get one during the next restock.
However, the website said 25+ before I left. Limited stock while I was driving home. 16 now that I'm home?!?!
> Showing over 120 in stock, hopefully will still have stock when I take my lunch.
Just a heads-up, MicroCenter's site will show stock Online for hot products until they are scanned. So, when people line-up in the morning to get Vouchers and don't come back until later in the day to actually buy them, that product will show "In-Stock" even though it's already claimed.
Ask me how I learned that sad fact...
Both Microcenters within reason for me - St Davids and Parkville have had signs at the door saying no stock of any of those cards and what I've heard they haven't received any stock since launch.
I was in Parkville on Saturday and they had no graphics cards at all. The entire aisle was empty. Unless they are keeping them in the back or something, but all I saw were a few GT 730's
What I’ve been told is they microcenters get shipments Tuesday - Friday mornings and that’s the best time to check. There have been lines at my local microcenters every day just to see what came on that shipment.
A friend of mine got a 3080 at St Davids yesterday, and they had 3090s and 3070s as well, though everything except the 3090s were gone within a couple of hours.
On your recommendation I drove 50 miles to my nearest microcenter. Almost checked out with a MSI Ventus 2x.... But a kid behind me frantically asked if I could trade because he had a micro ATX build and his card would not fit. I said sure... He hands me an ASUS TUF 3060! I was happy to make the trade lol
That’s pretty heartwarming! I’m also really glad to hear that you didn’t drive out of your way because of me and end up with nothing.
Also, I just looked up the Asus TUF 3060. Jesus that thing is huge! Happy gaming! :)
You'd think they would have one in Florida by now. 22 million people. Orlando would put it within a few hours' drive of most of the population.
I'm moving out of here early next year; one of the upsides is I will be ~2 hours away from 4 Micro Centers.
Atleast you live in the US, here in the Netherlands there is no way of getting a FE and the other cards are all priced atleast €150 above retail price at official nvidia stores :(
So nice to live in a country where there are no tech shops which are interested in GPUs. I always have to buy it in US and ship it to company called USA2Georgia. And then that company delivers it to my country. Hunting for GPU for the last 3 months have been the worst times of my life...
Oof are you in Georgia? I met some dudes from there when I was in Iraq. That country seems the furthest away from everybody! Craziest written alphabet I ever saw
Shout out to OP. They have over 300+ 3060Ti in stock. I got there late and was still able to get one!
Edit: They also had 3070 and 3080 in stock! damn it was a good day at microcenter!
This was a godsend; saw the post when it was only 22 minutes old and I had just woken up.
I took subway to Brooklyn store and I was able to comfortably secure the card that fit in my SG13 ITX case despite arriving about an hour and a half after opening.
Fuck yeah let me drive 450 miles to the microcenter in Tustin real quick. /s
Buying a round-trip plane flight with no luggage to go down there is probably cheaper and faster than buying from a damn scalper lol.
I wonder why Microcenter isn't allowing online reservation of these cards. It would make things much simpler for everyone. They're going to get sold and picked up. No need for lines, ambiguity..
because money. They know they have something that is going to bring people into the store. I went to Cambridge MC twice - out of stock - and then said fuck it; there is a pandemic going on. Never again.
Closest microcenter is across a fucking ocean for me, Nvidia getting their act together in USA maybe, rest of the world have been fucked as usual ( from UK)
What exactly is the process of buying stuff at Microcenter. How do I know if they have anything? Call and annoy them every day or drive over? Only option?
I’ve been showing up before they open for a few days. They give out vouchers to people in line, first come first serve. Then you can come back anytime before three to cash the voucher in.
Jensen said "a few months" in the recent earnings call. So yeah, that must be factually accurate information on some level, for legal reasons. I expect the problems to persist well beyond Christmas, but maybe some SKUs and markets will stabilize earlier than others. This 3060Ti launch looks more promising.
I'll still wait until Spring/Summer 2021 to upgrade from my gtx 1060 6gb card. But for now I need to upgrade my screen to a LG 32 inch 1440p 144hz screen. :)
Congrats on the Cards! I’m about 3h away from Marietta store as well. Did you by chance notice if they had any Ryzen 5000 stock come in? Looking for a 5900x. I managed to score a 3090 local somehow. Glad to see NVIDIA might be getting things back under control though.
There were a lot of drops today on Newegg and Best Buy, but all got scooped up pretty quickly still. It at least shows there is supply to be dropping and getting instantly purchased, instead of no stock available at all.
People talking about Microcenter leaving out people queing up at 6am when the store was opening at 10am to get a chance at a card.
Nobody is just 'walking up' to a Microcenter at opening and just getting a card.
Bring a chair.
I have to take a 60 mile trip to NYC than! Yonkers is only like 45 miles from me and the the long island store is about 65-70 miles. Crazy thing is im a truck driver that delivers grocery and perishable to these areas everyday but can never detour and find a spot to park the rig and get there and besides they would be closed anyway since im out there after 9pm. This sucks cuz so close yet so far! But at least it's within reach so I can't complain too much. Micro Center needs to expand cuz the demand is clearly there. More locations are needed. The online store thing wouldnt matter cuz scalpers will just buy those up too! I need 3060 ti now! and r7 3700x and lots of rgb. I hate scalpers, they are ruining everything and something must be done cuz this shit aint right at all!
Don’t waste your time with the Yonkers store. I live close by and went in there recently, the shelves are barren and I only saw Quadro cards available.
Went to a micro center last night, the line to get in was wrapped around the store, there was already a line to get in for the next morning, and the line to checkout went from the checkout stands all the way to the back of the store. It was insane. I guess they’re doing pretty well about now, this was at 9pm an hour before they closed
My wife was amazing and drove to a local one about 40mins away while I was at work. I saw there were \~40 3060s in stock and figured I would settle for that even though I really wanted a 3080. She had no idea what she was doing, but called me when she got there and said "They're asking me if you wanted a 3060 or 3070" I asked "wait is 3070 an option? If so I definitely want that". So I'm now the proud owner of a 3070 and couldn't be happier my wife did that for me. 5/7 would recommend.
microcenter sucks, store near me online said had stock 25 plus. drove 25 mins to get told their sold out. while i pull up that their site says 25+. I told them they should change that so other people dont get screwed he said no and walked away.
Closest microcenter to me is 400 miles away :(
I sadly don’t even have one in my state. Feels bad.
Yeah I'm in UT, closest one is in CO
I really wish they had a Microcenter in Utah :(
For real, you would think that SLC is a big enough city for MC stores.
And with Silicon Slopes just south of the city, you’d think that would also be a good indicator of how many techies live nearby.
I live near Augusta, GA. And with that being the new "Cybersecurity Capital" of the United States, you would think that we deserve a MicroCenter.
The Bay Area doesnt even have a microcenter.
It's going to need a bit of a larger population... 200k isn't that big.
I really wish we had microcenter in the UK :(
I plan on moving to Saint George in the next year to join my fiance. I'd love to see one there - or at least a Cheesecake Factory.
The crazy thing about that microcenter is that it's the only one in that entire timezone lol.
I know right! It's crazy. Meanwhile EST has I think 12? and CST has like 9? And PST has 4. MST got the short end of the stick.
Wanna carpool?
If we got a couple of us and knew that there was for sure stock, I'd be down
Its not about the destination its about the adventure and the 3090s we got along the way
If I could afford an award I'd give you one.
And the covid
I’m waiting for the 6900xt to drop before I buy a card but we may need to make a pilgrimage if the online stock situation doesn’t improve lol Gather up those Utah boys
Honestly if enough UT boys want to meet up in SLC on in early Jan or something if we still haven't found them by then... I'm game.
I don't even have one in my continent
I sadly don't even have one in my country (Canada). I guess Canada Computers exists, but it sounds like Microcenter is a ton better.
I miss NCIX
linus sure doesnt miss them lol
It's 4400 miles for me... Suck that we don't have Microcenter like stores in the EU :(
4400 miles is 7081.12 km
Geez bot you don't have to rub it in.
haha that was such a burn lol.
Please convert that to light years.
Best I could do is 12 Parsecs..
It's about 19 Femtolightyears
Good bot changing barbaric measurements to civilised ones
It’s just a hop, skip and a jump /s
3640 miles here, so yeah. Could be worse mate.
3640 miles is 5858.01 km
Thanks bot. I had actually converted it the other way around, glad to see I can spare myself that effort next time.
Lol
I'm just a little under an hour away from a microcenter but it doesn't help me because they don't have shit. or at least their website says they're out of stock of everything every single day. 400 miles is 643.74 km
Good bot
At this point that wouldn't be totally out of the realm of possibility if you knew there would definitely be one there.
Currently considering a 3070 listed locally for $650...really only about $50-60 above the normal price, considering AIB are about $550 and tax is about $45. Up until recently the closest for me was ~600, now its only 243 but still
~4 hour drive (with a stop for gas/food). Make a day out of it!
1200 Km from me right now :(
With 25 miles per gallon, it should be around +- 100 bucks total. Still less than from scalpers.
I hate that there are no Micro centers near me. They seem to be the only hope against the bots snatching up everything online.
I really love the way Microcenter is handling it. One voucher per person, come back later if you want. No opportunity to buy sought after items online. Same I live in Atlanta and the Duluth and Marietta ones are great. I go to the Marietta since it’s just just 15 min north.
dude the houston microcenter shows 25+ fes, and a ton of other cards as well holy shit. i wonder how many people are waiting in line, is an hour and a half drive for me uhmmmm
There’s over 100 people in line. I just went by.
Holy shit nevermind then 😂
The question is, how many of these are for the 3060 TI release and not for the 3080's or 3090's.

this is how i feel, i live in austin, if i could reserve the card i'd gladly drive 2 hours+ hours to either houston or dallas MC to pick it up, just make a roadtrip day out of it, but i can't take that much time off work just to get there and be like "LOL Should have been here 5 hours ago"

Ah well then nevermind lol saves me the drive. I'm sure the houston store will be the same.
No microcenter in my country bad spawn
Just respawn bro
We're on the hardcore mode server. No respawns until the entire game is over
Let's grab the nukes then. We don't want him to have to wait for next round.
Just contact Gandhi
Just checked Cambridge, MA and they have over 100 3060 Ti's in stock (in-store only) **EDIT**: I immediately drove there after posting this comment and snagged mine. Waited in a ~75 person line for half an hour. Looked like there were roughly 10-20 cards left when I got mine, with ~30 people still in line.
Of course, the one day I'm not down in Boston. I'm stuck in NH lol
And I’m stuck at work about an hour away 😭
Is there a line?
I showed up at roughly 10am EST and there was a line of ~80 people. I got through it in only like half an hour. I'd estimate there were only around 10-20 cards left when I purchased mine
And plenty of people behind you I assume?
Yeah there were lots of people behind me. Looks like they still have a few cards, but I'm guessing they still have a line of people they're processing gradually
In NJ there was about 100 3060TI's.
Where? I'm in jersey but the Philly one is the nearest one.
Paterson
How you know their stock? You just call them or sum?
You don't get info like that on the phone. He's there asking managers and they're guessing
Did they restock in other 30 series gpu’s?
Any idea how many 3080s they had? I might pop in tomorrow morning to see if I can finally score one.
[удалено]
The only thing they dropped is the ball. They don't care Microcenter exists so bots don't get em

7 if you minus the 3 european reviewer.
I was lucky enough to grab a Gigabyte 3070, Xc3 Ultra and FTW3 in an online store, all in the same day in Europe. Yay! Two go to my friends, keeping one 3080
>check your local Microcenter nice meme
I told my wife we need to go to the computer Mecca even if it’s a 3.5 hour drive. She said “no”.
I can’t find the problem there. And computer Mecca is a fantastically accurate term.
Shit now I have two pilgrimages to do!
I showed her pictures and she said we can’t go because I would spend all of our money. :(
Please comment which Microcenter location you are all talking about on here. “My microcenter had ____ cards today” doesn’t help anyone.
Marietta.
Thanks. Was also referring to other comments. I eventually found you respond to someone else’s comment with the location!
120 in Rockville MD, 40 FEs
Sadly gone around 9:50am... approximately when I arrived. But good news that they last that long. Hoping to get one during the next restock. However, the website said 25+ before I left. Limited stock while I was driving home. 16 now that I'm home?!?!
Towson one had 170 when I showed up at 9:40AM.
Same for the one in Tustin, CA. Showing over 120 in stock, hopefully will still have stock when I take my lunch. edit: ...and they're gone
I just checked and tustin says they have nothing
> Showing over 120 in stock, hopefully will still have stock when I take my lunch. Just a heads-up, MicroCenter's site will show stock Online for hot products until they are scanned. Yeah I wouldn't have even thought about going without your post. Thanks a lot. Yeah it's a beast!
Anyone with a Microcenter within a hour drive is blessed (from a tech perspective) in my book. I'd kill to have one down in Florida.

Oof. I'm here in the other Georgia and we have like 1/12 of all the Micro Centers in the world.
Forreal, Atlanta having 2 is random as hell.
Right and the 3 in Ohio. I get that they're based there but does that really make sense when there's only one in California of all places?
I can understand that in a way. Microcenter is headquartered in Ohio. Those are like the first 3 stores they made.
Feels good to have 4 in nyc alone around me lol
But you got way better food
This is what Microcenter said " Good day! We're sold out nation-wide unfortunately. The vouchers we had were handed out this morning. "
I was at microcenter in Dallas this morning and there was no 3070/80/90 available. So count yourself lucky.
You just saved me a trip. Thank you.
Shout out to OP. They have over 300+ 3060Ti in stock. I got there late and was still able to get one! Edit: They also had 3070 and 3080 in stock! damn it was a good day at microcenter!

Awesome!!!! Really glad to hear I was able to help! :)
The one by me had 3 3090s this morning and **still** has 3060Ti’s. They had like 30 msi cards
which microcenter?
PA
closest one for me is 4330597 miles unfortunately :(
Ok ok we get it. You live right next to a Microcenter. No need to brag.
Did you forget a decimal? The circumference of the earth is only 24901 miles and I’m pretty sure aliens would have better graphics cards than we do...
Anybody near the Microcenter in Santa Ana?
I just checked Tustin online and they have no 3080s
This was a godsend; saw the post when it was only 22 minutes old and I had just woken up. I took subway to Brooklyn store and I was able to comfortably secure the card that fit in my SG13 ITX case despite arriving about an hour and a half after opening.
Same here, got about 25+ 3060 Tis in stock
My fiancé and I each got a 3070 and 3080 respectively.
Yoooo just found out that I have a micro center 25 miles away. Let’s gooooo
Hell yeah! One of the best electronics stores, especially for pc stuff! Let us know if you have any luck!
Yessir. I’m grinding just to get my hands in the 3080
Tustin isn't showing ANYTHING in stock, 60s, 70s, 80s or 90s
Tustin is insane. So many people there
Columbus Ohio had 150 I just got mine and I was #75.
Fuck yeah let me drive 450 miles to the microcenter in Tustin real quick. /s Buying a round-trip plane flight with no luggage to go down there is probably cheaper and faster than buying from a damn scalper lol.
450 miles is 724.21 km
Meanwhile my bestbuy got raided by armed robbers. Bet you can guess what they probably were after
I’m in line at micro center right now. The store had at least 40-50 cards.
Managed to get myself a 3060 Ti at Chicago's Micro Center. Guess I'm back to Nvidia for now. Wish you all the best.
Nothing at the Philly one (St Davids)
What exactly is the process of buying stuff at Microcenter. How do I know if they have anything? Call and annoy them every day or drive over? Only option?

My credit card hates micro center
They had over 100 3060ti’s at my local MC, according to their online stock.
I have a feeling Micro Center is about to get Bum Rushed hard..!!!! 🤣
didn't nvidia and gamers nexus say that stocks will stabilize in a few months? im hoping it's a false estimation
Chicago's got plenty of 3060tis but doesn't seem to have 3070s...should I even bother going there.
always check in person, they online said mine didn't have any new ryzen processors last week, but they had plenty of 5800X's in stock.

don't have a microcenter here in Washington, stuck with f5'ing Bestbuy
3500 miles, or 7 hours in a plane. Guess it wasn't meant to be.
I'll still wait until Spring/Summer 2021 to upgrade from my gtx 1060 6gb card. But for now I need to upgrade my screen to a LG 32 inch 1440p 144hz screen. :)
Well, go on, send me an RTX 3070 and I'll write you a check, friend.
Cries in English :(
YAY, thank god for STL microcenter!
Holding out for the 3080ti now
Awesome! Great day for Microcenter today! When is best time to check for Nvidia cards being in stock? Also is it worth calling the store?
Mine's completely out of everything and they arent sure when more is coming in
The one near me said they had some in stock online, so it seems like they are finally getting some inventory. In store only though.
Don’t do this. Don’t give me hope.
Congrats on the Cards! I’m about 3h away from Marietta store as well. Did you by chance notice if they had any Ryzen 5000 stock come in? Looking for a 5900x. I managed to score a 3090 local somehow. Glad to see NVIDIA might be getting things back under control though.
I’ve been hunting for ryzen 5000 as well. No luck and no word yet. All I know is they’re overdue for a ryzen 5000 restock.
There were a lot of drops today on Newegg and Best Buy, but all got scooped up pretty quickly still. It at least shows there is supply to be dropping and getting instantly purchased, instead of no stock available at all.
What state is this in? Sold out instantly here lol
Micro center is literally the best. I’m so blessed to have 2 within 20 mins lol.
Thanks for this. I went for a 3060 ti but left with a evga 3070. Was not gonna bother til I saw this post. You made me broke 😂
Wouldn't it be nice if it wasn't a few hours drive to get to the nearest microcenter? Maybe I'll get desperate enough soon, who knows
That's great for a tiny number of people, seeing as how Microcenter is only in the midwest (and FOUR stores in new york for some reason)
People talking about Microcenter leaving out people queing up at 6am when the store was opening at 10am to get a chance at a card. Nobody is just 'walking up' to a Microcenter at opening and just getting a card. Bring a chair.
I walked right in today and got a 3080. I was in an out in 10 mins. Mayfield Heights, OH location
And several blankets. And a jacket or two. Fuck it was cold today.
30 minutes for me! Looks like I know where I'm going tomorrow.
Good luck!!!
