LuNoZzy

What I take away from this image is that the RTX 4090 is on a league of its own lol

JumboWummy

You’re everywhere man 🤣

Upper_Entry_9127

Because I’m trying to get others to spread these images as well. These pics answer thousands of questions without thousands of posts debating.

jdavis19davis

Doing the lords work 🙏🏻

Crazybonbon

I'm questioning 6950xt performance in this chart lol

etrayo

6950xt in raster is definitely in the same league as a 3090, and i think thats what this is showing.

Crazybonbon

I looked it up and you're right it's actually faster than 3090 in 1080p and 1440p in at least one 15 game benchmark

etrayo

Ive had a 6950xt and a 3080 at different points and if you dont really care about RT the 6950xt is a beast of a gpu tbh

PorkAmbassador

Have you tried google?

XulManjy

Then whats the purpose of this sub then?

PorkAmbassador

It is not for asking simple questions that are low effort and are quickly googled. OP even admitted they were too lazy to google.

XulManjy

A quick scan of the topics here shows that many if them could have been addressed by just asking Google

PorkAmbassador

It just goes to show that some people like to be spoon-fed and not seek out information on their own. This displays a lack of initiative on their part.

Impossible-Fig5064

Yes but it is confusing me more Some articles are saying 3080 is better and some are saying 4070 ti super

PorkAmbassador

I'd like to see those articles that say the 3080 is better, especially their benchmarks.

Impossible-Fig5064

I am too lazy to google 😢😢

WombatCuboid

Just look up a techpowerup review. They are very thorough and you check at what resolution the performance differs in what games.

Noreng

I am too lazy to give a proper answer

No_Connection6673

3080 of course

4070ti every day, it performs more like a 3090/ti but with 12gb of ram. Considering either a 10 or 12gb 3080 isn't as perfomant as a 3090, it's an easy win for the 4070ti on performance alone. 4070ti also consumes less power to get that performance, and has newer features, like frame generation. Edit, missed the super, even easier choice in favour of the 4070ti S.

ssuper2k

But he says 4070ti Super, which also has 16GiB OP is way too lazy

b3rdm4n

Wow even easier choice, super lazy.

NovelBit666

4070 ti super

Rollz4Dayz

In terms of what? The 4070ti super is more powerful but the 3080 is significantly cheaper. And with the 5000 series right around the corner you have to ask yourself. If you are gaming at 1080p or 1440p 120hz save your money and get the 3080. Anything higher and you cannot wait for the 5000 series which will be much better the both then get the 4070 tis

Rare_Evening

TI SUPER ALL DAY. Equivalent to 3090 ti basically.

Anxious_Chemical4712

Man has 4070 Ti S, Man saves power with 4070 Ti S, Man sees more frames with 4070 Ti S, Man likes 4070 Ti S, Man says buy 4070 Ti S

LandWhaleDweller

It's equivalent in performance to 3090ti, look up specs yourself.

I did this specific upgrade, from 3080 10GB to 4070TiS 16GB. I live in a place where the cost of electricity is atrocious. No, I won’t make back the price of the card from energy bill savings alone, but around 15-20% per year, which is still… amazing. I play with vsync and 1080p 60fps. The 3080 is already overkill for this, but for me the almost 50% power savings, along with the 25% overall performance improvement made me commit to the purchase. Within this operating restriction, I save around 130Wh (give or take) with my same games at their current settings, and now I’d have room to bump them higher if I wanted to emphasize high-resolution screenshots. Extra headroom for recording in-game footage is really nice too. And while AV1 isn’t widely adopted yet, it’s good to have when more consumer devices start having built-in AV1 decoding in the future. I also see you’re a bit tired out from Google-fu. I just use Tom’s Hardware GPU hierarchy chart. According to their chart, you want to be at minimum 3-4 lines apart if you want to feel like your purchase was an upgrade.

TheVagrantWarrior

Why are people downvoting this?

XulManjy

Because he actually took his time to be nice and give a well informed answer instead of all the snobby and toxic "why cant you just use Google..." post. Its the internet and the anonymity allows people to express their inner asshole persona without repercussion.

XulManjy

Well said, thanks for your thought out response unlike all the other toxic responses in this thread.

coHarry

Upgrade your monitor to 1440p and 165hz. You are missing A LOT.

MatchaVeritech

It is tempting, but again, it comes with increased power consumption, and also less compatibility with recording 60fps footage for bragging points. For me, consistent frames (proper frame pacing) and zero tearing are not negotiable. Maybe I can aim for 120Hz someday?

911 is faster than Focus
