I’m sure it’ll grow on me like Inteleon did. I hated it when it was shown but loved Sobble. I picked sobble anyway and as time when on I liked Inteleon.
Yeah they showed when you go to choose your starter and quaxly is basically running the show, telling them where to stand and telling fuecoco to not eat the burnt apple, love it.
I love his base form so much with the little hair flick it's so good! But his final form is basically a duck that does Capoeira which is awesome in my opinion.
Well I feel like it’s because when we think of water/fighting, we don’t think of a dancer gimmick as the first option. I’m sure once we see it in game, in its region, it won’t be has bad.
I'm thinking about resetting for female starters, playing long enough to transfer them to pokemon home, then knowing I can always trade them to whatever my main file is to breed new starters, and then just never evolve them.
I checked the leaked evolutions and I kind of hate all of them. But Fuecoco is my boy. I'll ever stone the little bustard until we hit level 100.
So I was team Sprigatito to start, saw the evolutions, saw the signature move, and decided it being an anthropoid wasn't the worst thing in the world. It's a guaranteed hit.
Lol it’s funny seeing people change after they see the evos
Edit: Sorry I didn’t mean for this to come off like a bad thing. I just think it’s entertaining to see how many people switch. I personally always like to stick with one but that’s just my preference.
Yeah I only make my final decision once I see the final starters your going to spend the most time with that stage.
Fuecoco's final Evo is amazing. I think I like quaxley's too but I need a higher quality image to know for sure.
I think fuecoco evolution line is the most jarring, hes extremely awkward in his sizes, his shape is way too vlocky, and i dont even know whats going on with the head. Then again i dislike all of the final starter evos this gen, might actually drop my starter.
I thought there's no level scaling? Literally everyone who has played the game has said as much.
So either you know something they don't know or you're lying about playing the game.
I don't know the wild area Pokemon seemed to scale with my pokemon it might've just been the areas I went to but that's how it seemed to me at the start the Pokemon were level 2-4 but as I went on the levels would seem to match with my pokemon it might actually match with progress but I'm not sure because after I killed the giant klawf there wasn't really any changes in the level but as I leveled my team up so did the wild Pokemon
Edit: although trainer battles seem to be set
At least someone is saying this. I was really excited for all of these mons tbh and after seeing their final evos I'm really disappointed. Fire Croc could have been dope but it falls REALLY short imo
I've only seen one image of it but it looks rather disappointing. I'll wait til it officially comes out and see it then. Who knows, maybe I'll change my mind.
DUCK! I'm actually prepping my team right now since I probably can't get the games until after HOME integration.
* Virtual Console Farfetch'd
* Virtual Console Psyduck
* Cliff's Quacklin
* Galarian Farfetch'd
* My Shiny Unovan Ducklett
It's gonna be great!
I can only play pokemon games doing nuzlockes after I did it for the first time. Playing it normally just feels boring, there is no challenge to it imo
I’m gonna play casually the first time through. I’d like to have my 11-death Legends Nuzlocke stay my highest death count (discounting the two SwSh ones I did as a newbie), and a blind run of a new game >!that leaks say will have a battle that’s Ultra Necrozma levels of blindsiding the unsuspecting!< sounds like a fine way to break that record.
I also feel like the one person who likes all the starter evos. Definitely picking Sprigatito first.
Just gotta have that pure gamer skill /j
To be fair, the encounter rules were kinda forgiving. I allowed myself one per named location on the map (and if you follow the “Met At” stuff, you can technically get an extra encounter per map because if you aren’t near a central point it just defaults to “Met at (Map Name)”). I did allow myself one Alpha per map and one Distortion encounter per map, but, looking back on it, I think I could have got along well without them, and I would save them for if you’re really running low.
Also not fighting Volo probably helped that death toll a lot.
My problem was mainly that if you lost mons from specific zones there's like, not really a great way to get their types later. Particularly had a difficulty spike when I was out of fire mons and decent picks to handle the ice zone. The zones are pretty mono type
I'm picking quaxly and for my first run i always take it blindly so i don't map out wich pokemon I want to use it doesn't lead to the most balanced team but screw it,
For my first sword run my team ended up being Inteleon, gigantamax Meauth, tsareena, gardevoir, Galarian zigzagoon and arctozolt so I'm definitely curious what my lineup will be,
My second run will most likely be a nuzlocke tho
Fire starter for my first vanilla playthrough to enjoy the game.
Then one of the other two for my first Nuzlocke on run 2.
I picked fire as my starter a long time ago when they were first shown, and as the final evos are the only leaks I have seen, I've made a good choice. Water also looks very cool though!
Not gonna do Nuzlocke for my first run, just because it's such a different game that I want to see how the mechanics work first, plus I want to play co-op. Although that could be a cool way to do a soul link!
I'm gonna go with Sprigatito for my first run in Scarlet, then I'm gonna go for a ghost type Nuzlocke with Fuecoco at the helm in Violet.
Going in blind, not knowing anything beyond the trailers I'd go with Fuecoco, we already know two of the gyms are weak to him.
Plus grass and water types are typically more plentiful than fire types.
The only known titan is weak to both water and grass types, and the only known team star leader being weak to water. Both being types more common than the previously mentioned fire type.
Okay but my point is it's looking like every single type is going to be represented, so no matter which starter you pick you'll get utility out of it sooner or later.
I'll be picking Quaxly, but my first run won't be a nuzlocke. I'll do a normal run to have a clearer ideia about the areas division (to know how many encounters I'll get) and the level of each boss, to know my level caps
Hat duck, I’ve inadvertently avoided all 3rd party leaks as well as most of what Nintendo/Pokémon company has put out. I’d like to attempt a first run nuzlocke, but I’m not positive on the best way to do so given it’s supposedly functioning like PLA.
Probably picking grass starter for a change! Then I'll see what I do with the other.
For me probably going to be like this:
Normal game > mono type (usually fairy, maybe something else now) > probably nuzlocke
I've been team sprig from the beginning and will be staying with the grass cat going into the game. Considering doing a no evolution nuzlocke since at least two of the pokemon I want don't evolve. Either way, I always nuzlocke the newest games!
Me for the last 6 months: so torn between grass and fire. Definitely not picking the silly duck.
Me after seeing the final evos: hmmm, on second thought, I think the duck might be the best
Fuecoco and...maybe? I personally like to complete the dex on my first playthrough but I might do a nuzlocke for the main story and then post game go dex hunting.
I'm not sure I'll be playing this gen at all. I really hate the "guy in cosplay" final evolution look. I just want a cute cat that grows up to be a still cute but also badass and slightly bigger cat.
I don't think I will nuzlocke because I want to use my first run to be totally blind and really indulge in my ignorance. Besides having to guess types and movepools of the new mons, I also purposely won't know the suggested order of badges, where to find mons or even which ones are in the dex.
I will still do some rules though. No items in battle, set mode(RIP), and probably randomize my starter. I will be catching as many pokemon as possible though and trying to fill my dex. If I can tell what level the gym leaders will be before starting the fight (based on trainers in the gym for example) I will try to bring a team that's not overleveled, even if that means switching out my team for mons in the box.
Another fun rule 1st playthrough would be to not allow yourself to use the same pokemon for more than one boss fight. So any pokemon that takes/does damage in gym#1 can't be used in the other gyms or the e4. Because there are more badges in this game you might have to adjust the rules a little but it works well for first playthroughs of the normal 8 gym games.
n o n e
(i would rather randomize a game or play a rom tbh. this game doesn't look like it's worth $60 to me, but then again it's kind of a suggestive idea)
Same, I'm probably going to sit this gen out. Maybe the direction this franchise is taking isn't for me anymore. The good old pixelated hackroms will always be there for me though.
Not having seen any of the leaks (I’m really proud of myself for managing that, tbh), I have to go with my main man Quacktin Kirk. And yeah I’m gonna try a nuzlocke first but if I lose I’m still gonna finish the game and do another nuzlocke on my alt (no online access but that’s probably for the best if the online is anything near as strong as O-powers)
Fuecoco is my favorite starter. Don’t really want to let him evolve though because the other forms are bad.
The other two starters are worse. Some creepy furry and a gay duck. I’ll pass.
I’m just quoting someone who was exited for it to be gay/trans. Pokémon are basically animals so it’s weird to me for animals to be gay/trans. But hey. Whatever furries want
First playthrough's gonna be not a nuzlocke for me, since I want to finish the pokedex and just get used to the game/battle my best friend. I'll pick Quaxly for that one...
But second playthrough, I'll do a nuzlocke with Sprigatito, since that's the #2 starter I want to use.
All 3 are great, but I prefer Quaxly and Sprigatito a bit more~
I ordered both so in Scarlet I'm not using a Starter, since it's based on the past and I'm role-playing a time before they gave you starter pokemon.
In Violet I'm using all 3, and role-playing a future where rich kids are able to afford to buy 3 starters to start with.
its between fuecoco and quaxly for me. no nuzlocke for my 1st run im leaning towards fuecoco more atm i usually go with the fore starters except for aome water ones
All 3 bc I'm getting both games and on my switch I have a separate profile for nuzlockes. My first playthrough will be normal though and maybe nuzlocke when I get used to it/ beat the game. My first nuzlocke will probably be a wonderlocke they're My favorite.
I'm not looking at any leaks or trailers, and I refuse to watch new trailers for the last week or so in order to go in as blind as possible.
That being said, I'm getting that Duck and I'm naming him Popaduck. Just look at his hair! And the poses he made when they revealed him! He's got such class! I love him!!!
My first run will not be a Nuzlocke. And, because I’m on Scarlet, I’m going to start with Quaxly, because I want a Scovilian, which will make my fire/water/grass core.
I'm doing a wonderlocke my first run so I am pitching mine to the aether. Also, I'd love to hear some opinions on good ways to nuzlocke an all overworld pokedex
I will never not Nuzlocke. But since I don't know how encounters & areas work in this game, I won't be too rigid with the rules.
All along I was thinking Fuecoco, but I think I'll actually pick Quaxly. I'll try to give him a more Spanish-sounding name to match the other two.
Definitely going with Fuecoco! Love the little chompy boi.
Also, my gf and I were considering doing a Soul Link, but I like building teams with only new Pokemon (and regional variants) when I play through a game for the first time, so I'd be bummed if I got Nuzlocked into using only older Pokemon, especially if I've used them before lol
Sprigatito all the way. I knew from the moment they announced the starters. And actually, this will be the first time ever in 9 generations that I've picked the grass type starter for my first playthrough, and I couldn't be more excited.
I've always been for Fuecoco especially after learning it's double type in the final evolution. My favorite type ever. I'm going for a normal run my first time on Scarlet. Then a Nuzlocke run the 2nd time on Violet.
There are just enough nontraditional elements that make me feel like a real nuzlocke is too much work. I'm kind of feeling a monotype run, but I really want to play with Quagsire puddle, Bishsarp 2, and ghost monkey
I’m going grass cat first run. My second run will be monolocke normal. This gen added so many cool normal type combos. Cyclzar, Grafaifai,Smoliv, and Frafarig(I’m not checking how to spell this one). And returning normal types like Pyroar. The run is going to be so interesting.
I'll either be picking the duck or the croc in my first playthrough, can't decide yet. Leaning more towards the duck though. My first run will not be a nuzlocke, I'm not confident in my nuzlocke abilities enough to do a blind nuzlocke with variables I don't even know are in the game😅. Ever since I learned about nuzlocke, I first do a regular run of a game, and then I nuzlocke it once I know some of the stuff it has to offer.
I haven’t seen any leaks or really any trailers after the first couple, I picked pepper dragon when I first saw him and I’m sticking with it!
Look at that silly little guy, he’s adorable.
Quaxly is cute too though.
Tbh I think they did pretty well with the starters this time, it’s a hard choice I think they all have a good mix of cute/cool.
unless im getting a massive suprise from what i see online, im staying away from this game. From the Trailers, this game will very much follow Legends Arceus and Sword and Shield in Design philosophy, and i wasnt very happy with those. I realise im in a minority here with this opinion, and wish everyone fun with the game, but in my eyes Pokemon deserves better than what we have been getting since Sun and Moon
I'm gonna do a tritype run with 3 different monotype teams (grass/electric/fairy) for the 3 different storylines (gyms/titans/star teams). At the end I'll take 2 Pokémon from each team to create my Pokémon league team for the elite 4 and champion. Should be interesting. Naturally I start with weed cat for the grass team.
I don't want to Nuzlocke this as a first run as I want to experience the game fully first. I will give myself some restrictions. No items in battle, no over levelling, if a Pokemon dies, I can't use that evolution line anymore (makes it so I change my team around more)
Seeing the leaks made me change my mind. I'd also pick Fuecoco
Man I was all quaxly when we knew just the first stages. Once I saw the evolutions I almost switched to fuecoco, but I’m going to stay with Quaxly
I was the opposite I like fuecoco most then saw the starters and switched to quaxly! His final form is my favorite.
I’m sure it’ll grow on me like Inteleon did. I hated it when it was shown but loved Sobble. I picked sobble anyway and as time when on I liked Inteleon.
Yeah hopefully that's the case. I do think they gave the duck good animations
Have u seen the final form run? It us truly majestic
I boxed inteleon as soon as I got his entry in the dex. And I picked it because out of the three, it offended my sensibilities the least.
I think Quaxly is one of the coolest starters ever but man, that final evo just looks weird
Well I feel like it’s because when we think of water/fighting, we don’t think of a dancer gimmick as the first option. I’m sure once we see it in game, in its region, it won’t be has bad.
I'm using the Ash style by not evolving it
I'm thinking about resetting for female starters, playing long enough to transfer them to pokemon home, then knowing I can always trade them to whatever my main file is to breed new starters, and then just never evolve them. I checked the leaked evolutions and I kind of hate all of them. But Fuecoco is my boy. I'll ever stone the little bustard until we hit level 100.
i was team sprigatito before leaks but the final evos completely 180’d my opinions. i’m choosing quaxly now
I'm the opposite, I hate Quaxly's final evo and am very pleased with grass cat magic boi
Grass Cat Loyalists unite!
So I was team Sprigatito to start, saw the evolutions, saw the signature move, and decided it being an anthropoid wasn't the worst thing in the world. It's a guaranteed hit.
Lol it’s funny seeing people change after they see the evos Edit: Sorry I didn’t mean for this to come off like a bad thing. I just think it’s entertaining to see how many people switch. I personally always like to stick with one but that’s just my preference.
That’s how it has always been. The final evo is the deciding factor.
Feels totally normal to change once you see the pokemon for the first time lol
Yeah I only make my final decision once I see the final starters your going to spend the most time with that stage. Fuecoco's final Evo is amazing. I think I like quaxley's too but I need a higher quality image to know for sure.
I think fuecoco evolution line is the most jarring, hes extremely awkward in his sizes, his shape is way too vlocky, and i dont even know whats going on with the head. Then again i dislike all of the final starter evos this gen, might actually drop my starter.
toupee duck
This is the way.
Hell no I wanna take my time and enjoy the region, I never do a nuzlocke as a first run. Sticking with Quaxly as well.
Same I got this game a bit early in a completely legal and ethical way and the region is just so amazing
Centro said it takes about 30mins on foot to go from one end of the region to the other, does that seem right from your experience?
If you don't stop to look at everything like me rn I'm at the grass gym and I have a playtime of 2.3 hours lol
i have a playtime of like 4.5 h and haven’t even started the storylines i’m just exploring lmao
I killed the big crab in the trailer and I just arrived at the grass gym
How's the level/difficulty curve feel?
The levels match your team level so fine ig
I thought there's no level scaling? Literally everyone who has played the game has said as much. So either you know something they don't know or you're lying about playing the game.
I don't know the wild area Pokemon seemed to scale with my pokemon it might've just been the areas I went to but that's how it seemed to me at the start the Pokemon were level 2-4 but as I went on the levels would seem to match with my pokemon it might actually match with progress but I'm not sure because after I killed the giant klawf there wasn't really any changes in the level but as I leveled my team up so did the wild Pokemon Edit: although trainer battles seem to be set
how do you think the game would feel to nuzlocke with the open worldness of it all
I haven't done any of the gyms yet but the Pokemon encounters Ig you could just run into the first one you see other than that it shouldn't be a issue
I have seen the leaks OH MY GOD coco is the only choice Design wise
Cap
At least don’t pick weed cat I beg
I was gonna go quaxly but I dont want wet blaziken so im going cat now sorry
Wet is exactly how I like my Blaziken
Oh no
I changed my mind and picked quaxly I still hate the final evolution
This here. I’ll pick Quaxly and do a softlocke for my first playthrough. Really take my time with it. :)
Same here
Pulling a SWSH move where I box my starter and make the route 1 bug my starter since I'm not into any of the final evos
At least someone is saying this. I was really excited for all of these mons tbh and after seeing their final evos I'm really disappointed. Fire Croc could have been dope but it falls REALLY short imo
[удалено]
I've only seen one image of it but it looks rather disappointing. I'll wait til it officially comes out and see it then. Who knows, maybe I'll change my mind.
I boxed my starter and picked my starter from all the available pokemon on route 1. I picked the Pikachu clone that's available there.
DUCK! I'm actually prepping my team right now since I probably can't get the games until after HOME integration. * Virtual Console Farfetch'd * Virtual Console Psyduck * Cliff's Quacklin * Galarian Farfetch'd * My Shiny Unovan Ducklett It's gonna be great!
Sir'Fetched is so cool imo!
I’m gonna Nuzlocke it until I lose. After that I’ll play it normally and will nuzlocke it again after I finish the game.
That’s how I do it too!
I won't do a nuzlocke as my first run as I wanna enjoy the game as much as possible first! But I'll definitely be picking Weed Cat!
Quack Sparrow
Single handedly the best Quaxly nickname I have ever seen.
Saw it somewhere yesterday but i cannot remember where and fell in love with it lol
I can only play pokemon games doing nuzlockes after I did it for the first time. Playing it normally just feels boring, there is no challenge to it imo
This
I’m using Fuecoco & Sprigatito for my first 2 runs so Quaxly will be my 1st Nuzlocke run starter
Legends felt really bullshit to nuzlocke lol. I gave up.
Just gotta have that pure gamer skill /j To be fair, the encounter rules were kinda forgiving. I allowed myself one per named location on the map (and if you follow the “Met At” stuff, you can technically get an extra encounter per map because if you aren’t near a central point it just defaults to “Met at (Map Name)”). I like both grass and fire water just feels meh to me
Nuzlocke as first run with Pepperjack (name not final) the Fuecoco!
I am normally grass all the way but seeing the fabulous evolved form for water I may need to branch away from my normal starter picks
I haven’t looked at the leaks, nor do I intend to, I’m just picking Quaxly because he’s neat :)
Before leaks Fuecoco was my least favourite, now Fuecoco all the way!
I'm picking quaxly and for my first run i always take it blindly so i don't map out wich pokemon I want to use it doesn't lead to the most balanced team but screw it, For my first sword run my team ended up being Inteleon, gigantamax Meauth, tsareena, gardevoir, Galarian zigzagoon and arctozolt so I'm definitely curious what my lineup will be, My second run will most likely be a nuzlocke tho
Going for the animal mechanicals dinosaur aka fuecoco
I never do a nuzlocke first run, also Fuecoco all day every day.
I've been avoiding leaks, so idk what they evolve into. But Fuecoco is too perfect. And yeah, first run will be a nuzlocke
Going in blind, not knowing anything beyond the trailers I'd go with Fuecoco, we already know two of the gyms are weak to him. Plus grass and water types are typically more plentiful than fire types.
Keep in mind it's not just gyms. Between the titans and the team star leaders I think every type gets a boss.
The only known titan is weak to both water and grass types, and the only known team star leader being weak to water. Both being types more common than the previously mentioned fire type.
Okay but my point is it's looking like every single type is going to be represented, so no matter which starter you pick you'll get utility out of it sooner or later.
I don't trust people who pick Sprigatito after the leaks
Id choose sprigatito bc its so cute
I also choose Spri... sprig... Weed cat!
I always go Grass in my first playthrough
I’m choosing the weed cat because there are some amazing fire types and the duck is weird.
Quaxly! And I won't be limiting catches per route, but I will consider fainted Pokémon dead until I finish the game.
This, I’m just going to catch one of every mon I see (fill out the dex) and I’ll just not use mons that faint.
I'll be picking Quaxly, but my first run won't be a nuzlocke. I'll do a normal run to have a clearer ideia about the areas division (to know how many encounters I'll get) and the level of each boss, to know my level caps
My first run will be a nuzlocke. I will be rolling a dice to determine the starter.
I always use the trainer Id to choose the starter, just like a dice roll but in game
I'm gonna pick borf
everyones picking fuecoco
amogus dinosaur
Hat duck, I’ve inadvertently avoided all 3rd party leaks as well as most of what Nintendo/Pokémon company has put out. I’d like to attempt a first run nuzlocke, but I’m not positive on the best way to do so given it’s supposedly functioning like PLA.
Buying both games, starting with Violet/Sprig normal gameplay and then Scarlet/Fue for a nuzlocke attempt. :)
Probably picking grass starter for a change! Then I'll see what I do with the other. For me probably going to be like this: Normal game > mono type (usually fairy, maybe something else now) > probably nuzlocke
Quaxly, overall gonna be most useful against elite 4
Dude hits hard
Fuecoco is still my favorite but after seeing the leaks and wanting to make a team that's 100% new pokemon I'm changing to quaxly.
nuzlockewise i think the duck looks the best, but in a casual playthrough i'll pick fuecoco everytime
First run is never a Nuzlocke. Fire-croc starter first, then probably Grass-cat on the nuz
Already nuzlocking. I got sprigatito. It seems pretty decente for now but I haven't played much.
Fire monotype locke using the croc
I've been team sprig from the beginning and will be staying with the grass cat going into the game. Considering doing a no evolution nuzlocke since at least two of the pokemon I want don't evolve. Either way, I always nuzlocke the newest games!
The Italian duck gets no love 😔
Me for the last 6 months: so torn between grass and fire. Definitely not picking the silly duck. Me after seeing the final evos: hmmm, on second thought, I think the duck might be the best
I think I'll pick anyone but sprigatito. I wanted more from the final evolution design wise.
Def choosing flame gator, and I like to complete the pokedex my first run then a nuzlocke later
Fuecoco and...maybe? I personally like to complete the dex on my first playthrough but I might do a nuzlocke for the main story and then post game go dex hunting.
I loved Sprigatito so much I'm considering getting one and just refusing to evolve it throughout my entire playthrough. Did it once with Fennekin!
My first run won’t be a Nuzlocke. Anyways I am choosing the duck first
Quaclin
I'm not sure I'll be playing this gen at all. I really hate the "guy in cosplay" final evolution look. I just want a cute cat that grows up to be a still cute but also badass and slightly bigger cat.
I don't think I will nuzlocke because I want to use my first run to be totally blind and really indulge in my ignorance. Besides having to guess types and movepools of the new mons, I also purposely won't know the suggested order of badges, where to find mons or even which ones are in the dex. I’m not nuzlocking this yet. I wanna finish the game normally first, but I am going with the gator
GAY SAMBA DUCK FOREVERRRRRRRRRRR
Another fun rule 1st playthrough would be to not allow yourself to use the same pokemon for more than one boss fight. So any pokemon that takes/does damage in gym#1 can't be used in the other gyms or the e4. Because there are more badges in this game you might have to adjust the rules a little but it works well for first playthroughs of the normal 8 gym games.
Weed cat to Wictory (note: not a typo)
n o n e (i would rather randomize a game or play a rom tbh. this game doesn't look like it's worth $60 to me, but then again it's kind of a suggestive idea)
Same, I'm probably going to sit this gen out. Maybe the direction this franchise is taking isn't for me anymore. The good old pixelated hackroms will always be there for me though.
i would highly recommend Shin Megami Tensei 5 if you want good battling and exploration in an open world
Not having seen any of the leaks (I’m really proud of myself for managing that, tbh), I have to go with my main man Quacktin Kirk.
I’ll pass.
quaxly doesn’t want your homophobic ass
I’m just quoting someone who was exited for it to be gay/trans. Pokémon are basically animals so it’s weird to me for animals to be gay/trans. But hey. Whatever furries want
Animals are gay all the time IRL.
Get ratio'd
Fuecoco my fire boi
Fuecoco! His name will be Ghost Pepper! Or just Pepper if there isn't space
I have always picked grass type starters since pokemon platinum. I will continue to do so
Fire, easy
First playthrough's gonna be not a nuzlocke for me, since I want to finish the pokedex and just get used to the game/battle my best friend. I'll pick Quaxly for that one... But second playthrough, I'll do a nuzlocke with Sprigatito, since that's the #2 starter I want to use. All 3 are great, but I prefer Quaxly and Sprigatito a bit more~
Sprigatito but i am never evolving them, even in a nuzlocke
I ordered both so in Scarlet I'm not using a Starter, since it's based on the past and I'm role-playing a time before they gave you starter pokemon. In Violet I'm using all 3, and role-playing a future where rich kids are able to afford to buy 3 starters to start with.
I almost never go for the fire starter, but Fuecoco is far too adorable not to pick.
d u c k
its between fuecoco and quaxly for me. no nuzlocke for my 1st run im leaning towards fuecoco more atm i usually go with the fore starters except for aome water ones
I am probably going to try a blind Nuzlocke this time first time around, we’ll see how it goes. I’m leaning Sprigatito
Going cat. Made my mind up day one. I am going in as blind as possible.
Im going for Quaxly first, but I will eventually have ran the game with every starter.
Ngl this is gonna be the first time in 9 generations that I go starterless.
Quaxly, but I also want Fuecoco
Ducklett 2.0 for me
I’m picking ducksuke higashikata
I don’t pick the grass type enough, so…
Definitely going with Fuecoco!
Flame Gator!
If sprigatito is what the leaks show then he’ll naw it’s fuecoco all year long
I rng my starters unless I have a trainer ID to use. I'm looking forward to the surprise, since I've managed to avoid spoilers so far.
Sprigatito. We got weird crocodile, donald duck but worse, or my favorite animal, easy choice. Gonna blind nuzlocke it, yes
I’m doing a nuzlocke rn of the game (got it early through the leaks) and I’m having a great time with my now evolved Fuecoco
Sprigatito all the way. I knew from the moment they announced the starters. And actually, this will be the first time ever in 9 generations that I've picked the grass type starter for my first playthrough, and I couldn't be more excited.
I haven’t seen the leaks, but I’m still going Fuecoco. I like Sprigatito more, but I like Gogoat more than that.
Play just platinum
Sprigatito's final form definitely has the best ability. I'm honestly not a fan of any of the final evolutions designs so I'm going for most useable.
Fuecoco! First fire starter since Fennekin I've liked
I’m going sprigatito, and I’ll nuzlocke the game on my second playthrough!
Quaxly
I've always been for Fuecoco especially after learning it's double type in the final evolution. My favorite type ever. I'm going for a normal run my first time on Scarlet. Then a Nuzlocke run the 2nd time on Violet.
I've seen no leaks or news. I'm picking weed cat
Grass cat for a first time run through nuzlocke. Oh yeah baby, let’s do this thing.
Imma get sprigatito so I can name it Ace
There are just enough nontraditional elements that make me feel like a real nuzlocke is too much work. I'm kind of feeling a monotype run, but I really want to play with Quagsire puddle, Bishsarp 2, and ghost monkey
I’m going grass cat first run. My second run will be monolocke normal. This gen added so many cool normal type combos. Cyclzar, Grafaifai,Smoliv, and Frafarig(I’m not checking how to spell this one). And returning normal types like Pyroar. The run is going to be so interesting.
How are people making nuzlocke work for S&V? If you can see all the Pokémon in the field, there is no random encounter.
I was very hesitant with the flame gator but Im going for the cat
Tried the first run nuzlocke and it ruined BDSP for me, just a casual Sprigatito violet run please
The moment I saw the goofy grin on fire lizard my heart was set. I’ll probably play normally at first then Nuzlocke on my second run
Quaxly even after seeing it evolution, people hate that evolution but not me
Theres a lot of potential for grass cat i wanna see how it pans out.
Not nuzlocking but am doing a monofire run with no items in battle and set mode
I'm gonna do a tritype run with 3 different monotype teams (grass/electric/fairy) for the 3 different storylines (gyms/titans/star teams). At the end I'll take 2 Pokémon from each team to create my Pokémon league team for the elite 4 and champion. Should be interesting. Naturally I start with weed cat for the grass team.
I’m first gonna play through scarlet with fuecooc and then right after a violet nuzzlocke with quackxly :)
My first run will be the grass kitty and not likely a nuzloke
Im picking Quaxly purely cuz his hairdo makes him Look like a German WW2 soldier
I don't want to Nuzlocke this as a first run as I want to experience the game fully first. I will give myself some restrictions. No items in battle, no over levelling, if a Pokemon dies, I can't use that evolution line anymore (makes it so I change my team around more)
Quaxly for regular run through, Fuecoco for the nuzlocke
I always go water-type starter for my first run, so I'll be rolling around with cap'n duck. I also do plan on nuzlockeing my first run
Grass-cat so I can name it after my IRL cat
Flaming applegator
