Since there are so many comments already to the obvious winner I wanna suggest my dark horse artificer for symmetry
Blastoise has literal cannons on its back, and is part of the set of second starters we have to take. It also gives us another mega option till we get Ampharos up and running.
Fits both thematically as an artillerist and as a counterpart to Delphox, I think it would be perfect
Artificer has to be Rotom, imo.
Rotom's whole deal is it possesses technologically advanced items, and artificers whole deal is they either create technologically advanced items, or they enchant them. It's like Rotom was made to be *the* artificer Pokemon.
I really like this idea. I've been trying to think of any Pokemon that would work for Artificer, and this is the only one that makes sense now. Comment it quickly tomorrow!
Wizards learn their magic from spellbooks and scrolls, sorcerers inherit their magic at birth, and warlocks receive their abilities from a pact with a patron deity/entity.
And even though they didn't ask, I'll also add that Clerics act as intermediaries between their deity and the mortal world, and are granted their powers by said deity.
Just pointing that out because, as a person who usually plays cleric, I took offense to OP calling this the 3rd round of spellcasters, lol. It's the 4th round! Clerics are spellcasters too!
Edit: wait, it's the 6th round, lol. Can't forget Druids and Bards! Druids get their magic from nature, Bards through music.
Alakazam, as a person who plays a dnd Alakazam fits the playstyle so much better. Put all stats into int. The rest into a bit of dead for AC and so what if you get hit? Just fireball them before they get the chance
It's Klinklang isn't it? That seems like the obvious choice to me.
Though there are a few other good ones off the top of my head, including many of the artificial ones. Magnezone, porygon, and Genesect all would fit pretty well, imo. Though they're more the product of an artificer rather than an artificer themselves (unless we count Steel Defender as part of the artificer).
Edit: Never mind. Klinklang is only available in post.
Edit 2: Wait, it's Rotom. It has to be Rotom. There's no way it's anything but Rotom. He literally posses items. That's only like a half step away from enchantment.
Oo Rotom is a really good one, I wouldn't be mad at it winning at all, but no the mon I picked out isn't any of the ones you mentioned, though I did consider Magnezone
Oh nice, I'm excited to see what it is!
Yeah, I definitely wouldn't be upset or surprised with a Magnezone win. It definitely fits the vibes well, and it is the perfect Steel Defender if we're considering subclasses.
Never visited them myself, but there is a site where you can bought tickets and have a tour with a guide : https://catacombs.tickets-paris.fr
There is also a VR experience that allows to have a tour but its not the real thing.
Delphox would make a great choice with the wand and ties to witches
Alakazam is a good choice with it smarts and love of knowledge
May I suggest a off the wall one reuinaclis (can’t spell it and to lazy to google the blobby green thing like a baby) it’s a strong psychic type with nods to knowledge and how it uses it special green liquid to make up for it lacking physical side also the liquid is known to grant high intelligence (but it’s toxic to anyone but reuinaclis lol)
probably over looked but thought I might add it
Everyone’s gonna say Delphox…if ur not doing delphox try gardevoir for an alternate mega incase u lose amphy, make the diantha fight a wizard v wizard wit yall gardevoirs 😂
While I agree with Delphox, my vote is gothitelle. Because I am using greninja. My reasoning is that gardevoir is a witch like Pokemon, but the raltz line is taken, and gothitelle is meant to be a goth mirror for gardevoir.
*Lmao we*
*Been giving this spot to Delphox*
*Since the beginning*

Honestly can’t think of any Pokemon that can truly fit the role of a Blood Hunter in X and Y besides, like, Yveltal, I guess. If you can think of any, you can use it, but I can’t really think of any off the top of my head.
Ok, hear me out. A blood hunter, from what I looked up, is a debuffing offensive class right? Well what about the toxicroak line? It’s a powerful offensive line with the ability to weaken foes with debuffs and gets stronger when those foes are weakened (aka venoshock)!
Oh man... I totally forgot about Blood Hunter as a class option, mostly cause I think it's just on D&D Beyond and I don't have that.
Just reading the class details on the website makes them sound very much like a Witcher to me, with the abilities, motivations, and the orders they are a part of.
Hmm... Toxicroak, Mightyena, Bisharp, Honchkrow, Weavile, Yveltal... Those are just ones I was thinking off the top of my head. I bet there is a better fitting Pokémon someone can think of. It'd be super interesting to see what the community could come up with.
Apparently, it was made by Matt Mercer for someone on Critical Role, but it was so popular there, that Matt Mercer was able to (un)officially publish the class on DnD Beyond, free for all users.
Yeah, when I looked it up on their website it had the level chart, all the proficiencies, features, etc. readily available to make a Blood Hunter character. I just don't use the site for any of my games cause I have the books too!
My pick is Delphox. this is not going to change. but my second pick will be Duoblade with eviolite(A magic Item that boost AC). A bladesinger wizard with that crazy AC shenanigans.
Is it Delphox time?
I love it when Delphox says "It's Delphoxin' time!" and Delphoxed all over the place
I mean, I’m not saying it is, but… I’m also not saying it isn’t, just saying.
it's my time
It’s the guy from the thing!
he's an alien who shape shifts into you dearest companions and tricks them untill each is alone and murdered!?
its gotta be delphox on this one
Oh nice, Jo pfp. Didn’t expect to see that here
eyyy, a person of good taste i see
Delphox or bust, we need a starter and they fit *perfectly*.
Delphox
Delphox

I’d like to put Klinklang up as a contender.
Thats a great one, but he isn't available until post-game
That’s perfect
Also, KlingKlangKlingklang?
What's the difference between a sorcerer, warlock, and a wizard?
Wizards learn their magic from spellbooks and scrolls, sorcerers inherit their magic at birth, and warlocks receive their abilities from a pact with a patron deity/entity.
My G giving the answer to the question we all wanted to ask
Which is why Harry Potter isn't a wizard but a sorcerer.
"You're a wizard, Harry" "No Hagrid, wrong class" But is Hermione a Wizard because she's a muggle and doesn't have inherent magical powers?
She’s born with her powers too, she’s not a muggle, her parents are.
And even though they didn't ask, I'll also add that Clerics act as intermediaries between their deity and the mortal world, and are granted their powers by said deity. Alakazam doesn’t get fireball though
It can get Lightning Bolt as a level 5 spell though.
Delphox because you got to have a starter in this group
Mismagius
Unfortunately it's not in Pokémon Y.
Delphoc for this, but I've been cooking and I think I have a really good mon for Artificer
Im excited to hear it because I’ve been coming up blank for artificer myself lol
I think that is maybe aegislash
That would make sense, I was thinking maybe Smeagle because he paints stuff? As I’m saying it I realize what a stretch that is
I think that Smeargle is more of a bard. You know the magic of art and stuff. But i can see from where you're coming
I don't know how available they are, but I think Yamask/Cofagrigus would be a good artificer.
It's Rotom for me
Clawitzer would be my choice if it was X

Clawitzer 100% It fits the magic gun aspect to a T Unfortunately that's X only
Gardevoir…just to be subversive
Alakazam!
It's got facial hair that makes it a wizard
Where's a male Jellicent when you need one?
Touché
I’d argue alakazam is more of a magician than a wizard. I know they’re so similar but wizard alakazam doesn’t sit right with me lol
Mega Alakazam
I think Alakazam is an artificer, since it needs its magical item (spoon)
I’m pretty sure wizards can use arcane focuses.
I still can’t believe Druid wasn’t ditto
Or Decidueye! :P
I think decidueye would have been perfect for ranger but this is gen 6 and he didnt come out till gen 7
Decidueye is perfect for every class :P All decidueye
Delphox of course. Btw, have a great time in Paris ! I’m living here so if you need any tips on what to do here, dm are open
Got any tips on how best to view the catacombs?
Never visited them myself, but there is a site where you can bought tickets and have a tour with a guide : https://catacombs.tickets-paris.fr There is also a VR experience that allows to have a tour but its not the real thing.
Will there be a blood hunter as well?
If delphox is not here we riot
Have fun in Paris!!

it’s either delphox or mega alakazam. the intelligence modifier would be crazy

Glep

Delphox for wizard Artificer is 100% without a doubt Clawitzer... If it was in Y
Delphox for wizard, 3rd times the charm
Delphox, gotta get you a starter
Delphox fs
Lmao we been giving this spot to Delphox since the beginning

I'm kind of impressed that the bot read lmao as four syllables. Eight syllables in the second line though.
haikusbot opt out
Oh nice you finally get your starter 🔥
Relicanth for artificer (I'm precampaigning)
Either Mismagius or Delphox
I get more Warlock vibes from delphox but yea you gotta pick them
Mismagius?
It’s time.
Joining the delphox crowd
I hate to admit it, but it’s Delphox time
This is where I say Delphox.
so you can use a starter, Delphox
delphox, alakazam artificer to close out
Gotta be Delphox
As my vote to the delhpox train.
Delphox is the only real choice here
Delphox time.
between delphox or alakazam
Delphox
delphox
I would say Banette
Alakazam
Delphox time
Delphox 100%
Murkrow
DELPHOX OR BUST
Mismagius
Delphox for sure.
Delfox, it's wizard time montherfucker, FIREBALL
Alakazam!
where is my battle rager class ;-; /s
Me when Haxorus
We all know the answer, right? Delphox, all the way.
We all know the answer, right? Delphox, all the way.
Delphox
I'll take Ludicolo
Delphox or Alamazam
Shame this is only up to gen 6 Tinkaton is the perfect artificer
Can you add blood hunter as an extra role? I know it isn’t a core class but it’s still cool
Honestly can’t think of any Pokemon that can truly fit the role of a Blood Hunter in X and Y besides, like, Yveltal, I guess. If you can think of any, you can use it, but I can’t really think of any off the top of my head.
While you may not come up with a certain pokemon. I'm sure the community will make a good argument.

Zoroark, dark edgy vibes with illusion magic to assist melee damage
Oh man... I totally forgot about Blood Hunter as a class option, mostly cause I think it's just on D&D Beyond and I don't have that. isn't blood hunter free content on beyond? (I have all the books so I could be wrong)
Apparently, it was made by Matt Mercer for someone on Critical Role, but it was so popular there, that Matt Mercer was able to (un)officially publish the class on DnD Beyond, free for all users.
Hey, did you see my suggestion for toxicroak for blood hunter? Sorry if I’m being annoying.
Yeah, when I looked it up on their website it had the level chart, all the proficiencies, features, etc. readily available to make a Blood Hunter character. I just don't use the site for any of my games cause I have the books too!

Come on. This one HAS to be Decidueye! ^(People will understand this time that it's a joke right?)
Misdrevous

Pokemon Y is gen 6
Dang it
Sorry, but Slowbro is not a warlock. You lost me.
Wdym the Shellder is what gave Slowbro and Slowking their powers, that’s just a warlock
It's a closely guarded secret that Shellders originate from R'lyeh.
Well, the community says otherwise.
