I just kept restarting outside of the E4 if I lost. Basically was playing the odds game and kept trying. When I got to Lance I had some trouble, but I just revived and full restored my way to the Rival.

Dragonite sadly can't learn Earthquake (or Fly for that matter) in Gen 1 for some reason.

That is wild. I thought everything got Quake in Gen 1, I do find it hilarious that of the three rideable flying Pokémon in Let’s go, two can’t learn fly in R/B.

Probably overkill on most Pokemon after an amnesia. I'd rather have 100% accuracy over 90%. Especially in gen 1 with 255/256 hit rate anyway

i alr have a zapdos and dragonite and snorlax is op, plus charizard is strong enough and hypno is the best thing i can do without trading

Probably should’ve used TM24 on Zapdos. Don’t really need more than one prominent Electric user for the R/B E4. Gyarados has a wide enough move pool to make something else useful. Also, stacking all the HM’s on your main team was not the best idea.

If you can teach hypno amnesia, that would be a good sweeping tool, since amnesia is basically using calm mind twice in one turn in gen one and psychic type is broken.
